The interior of the Wheeler house is as dilapidated as the exterior, prompting Bailey to grimace while sidestepping some vines. Steve trails behind him, illuminating the surroundings with the spotlight.
"Might be time to get a maid." Robin jestingly remarks while ascending the stairs behind Nancy towards her bedroom.
"I don't want to stay here longer than we have to." She states as she opens her chamber door. Nancy opens her closet door, retrieves a box from the top shelf, and places it on her bed. She unsealed the box and removed the wrapper, unveiling dance shoes.
"Those aren't guns." Eddie states.
"They're a bit pointy but I was hoping for a deadly projectile." Robin replied.
"Maybe you left them somewhere else?" Eddie suggests.
"There's a six year old in the house," Nancy responded. "I know where I keep my guns. Also-I threw these away years ago."
Nancy, frowning, gathers a handful of flashcards from her desk intended for studying. She extended them towards the group. "These are from Sophomore chemistry."
"And this is old wallpaper!" Nancy pointed at her walls. "This mirror went to a yard sale and... you're not supposed to be here!" She retrieved a plush toy. Nancy returns to her bedside table, retrieves her journal, and peruses its pages. The most recent dated page is November 6, 1983.
"Dustin!" Steve wept, prompting everyone to exchange glances before hastening down the stairs to him, as he called for Dustin while searching the living room for his curly-haired companion.
"Maybe he really does have rabies." Robin whispered.
"Hello?! Hello!" Steve shouts again.
"Steve!" Bailey shouted, attracting the attention of the brunette. "What are you doing?"
"He's here! Henderson, that little shit is here. Like he's in the walls or something, just listen..." Steve fell silent, and initially, nothing transpired; however, subsequently. Dustin's voice was audible.
"All right, either this kid can't hear us or he's being a total douche bag." Steve sighed heavily.
"Will found a way." Nancy became cognizant and proceeded to survey her surroundings. "He found a way to speak to Joyce through the lights."
"The switch. Try the switch."
"it's not working."
"Guys? You seeing this?" Steve whispered, his flashlight illuminating the chandeliers, which were slowly brightening, as though glitter was suspended around them.
Nancy advanced towards it, elevating her palm to the warm embrace, and the others followed suit, tentatively approaching to experience it as well.
"Whoa." Eddie smiled in amazement.
"It...Tickles." Steve said.
"Does anyone know Morse code." When Nancy inquired, everyone shook their heads.
"Wait, does SOS count?" Eddie asked.

They gathered around the bed, ready to listen to the children again. "Okay, you guys seeing this?" his voice resonated.
"Holy shit!" Dustin exclaimed, and they all chuckled at his joy.
"We're not moving it, but we're gonna unplug it. Stand by." Dustin directed, the light vanished once more as they sat in anticipation. After a little interval, they could once more discern Dustin's voice.
"Okay, try it now." Nancy inhaled deeply and commenced spelling the word "Hi," prompting the lights to manifest.
"That worked!" Dustin shouted, and the youths all rejoiced in exhilaration. Bailey encircled his arm around Steve as Eddie placed a hand on their shoulder, shaking them joyfully.
"Hi!" Eddie replied, leaping forwards a little.
Nancy attempted to concentrate as she put her finger to the board and commenced writing. The word "Stuck" was inscribed on the board as the children commenced reading it.
"Uh, you can't get back through Watergate?" Dustin inquired.
"What the hell's Watergate?"
"Cause it's in water and it's a gate." Robin answered.
"Oh, That's cute." Eddie responded while nodding.
Nancy initiated contact, composing her message cautiously as the children above attempted to decipher its content. They all smiled with delight upon finally obtaining it.
"Uh, Watergate's guarded." Dustin replied. "We think we have a theory that can help with that. We think Watergate isn't the only gate. That there's a gate at every murder site."
Nancy negated with a shake of her head. "Does anybody understand what he's talking about?" They appeared somewhat perplexed. She inclined forward and inscribed a question mark.
"Okay. Seriously? How many times do I have to be right on the money before you trust me?"
Steve merely expressed his irritation by rolling his eyes. "Jesus Christ. This kid's gotta get his ego in check." Bailey nudged him.
"It's his tone, right?" Eddie agreed.
"Okay. So...So how far is your trailer?" Nancy inquired, directing her attention towards Eddie.
"Seven miles."
"Nancy?" Robin inquired, and the brunette pivoted towards her. "Uh, I know your house here is, like, weirdly, creepily frozen in time and shit, but haven't you always had bikes?"
π¬½π¬Όπ¬½
Upon arriving at the trailer park, Bailey discarded the bike onto the ground and glanced back at the trailer. Similar to all other aspects of this location, it is utterly repugnant.
"That's gotta be a Guinness World Record. Most miles traveled interdimensionally." Robin exclaimed, her tone brimming with enthusiasm.
"Just inhaled a bunch of that crap. It's stuck in my throat." Steve expelled a cough. Upon entering the trailer, Bailey surveyed the interior, detecting an indistinct odor emanating from within.
"This is where Chrissy died. Like, right where she died." Eddie remarked that Bailey immediately stiffened at the notion of Chrissy being trapped in the upside-down world indefinitely.
"I think there's something in there." Robin stated, As they approached the entryway, their interest intensified. It was somewhat poignant, and the sound was intense.
"What the hell is that?" Eddie asked.
The barrier was promptly breached, prompting all the teenagers to recoil in astonishment. Steve approaches cautiously, with the others trailing behind as they all look up.
"no way." Dustin, Erica, Lucas, and Max were all gazing down at them. They all laughed and reciprocated their waves. They are happy to be returning home.
The children commenced their task, constructing a rudimentary rope, when all activity ceased as Eddie's mattress collapsed to the ground. "Those stains are, uh...I dunno what those stains are." Eddie said.
"Not quite sure how these physics work. But, uh...Here goes nothing." Dustin stated that he threw the improvised rope through the opening, and as it descended, Bailey gazed at it in astonishment. "And if my theory is correct..." he trailed off, he let go of the rope and it stayed in place. "Huh. Abracadabra."
"All right, pull on it! See if it holds!" Dustin shouted to the assembly. Robin seized the opportunity, encircling it with her arms before elevating her feet off the ground, employing her whole weight. It remained stationary.
"Guess I'm the guinea pig." Robin murmured, encircling the sheets once more before leaping and commencing her ascent toward the gate. Robin successfully navigated through, abruptly descending onto the mattress.
"All right, guess I'll go." Eddie shrugged.
Bailey ascended and descended onto the mattress, allowing his back to make contact with it. He exhaled deeply and reclined his head against the mattress prior to rising. He was aware that Nancy was next, although she was not entering through the gate. He glanced above to observe Steve grasping Nancy.
Steve panicked, glancing at the gate before returning his gaze below and shaking one of Nancy's shoulders. "Nancy! Nancy! Nancy! Hey! Nancy, wake up. Wake up! Nancy!"
