Steve drove them to the trailer park, where they halted in front of Max's residence. She exited the vehicle with her bag and prepared herself. "This better be fast, Mayfield." Steve warned.
"Twenty seconds." Max states that she exited the vehicle and entered the house. Bailey observed her, feeling rather apprehensive about the entire concept.
Bailey remained seated while they engaged in conversation, seeing the many trailers positioned throughout the park. He observed Eddie's trailer and its complete obstruction.
Max unexpectedly reemerged and entered the vehicle. "Hey, that was longer than 20 seconds." Steve complained, only to observe that Max was distressed. "Hey, whoa, whoa. You all right?"
"I'm fine. Just drive."
Upon arriving at the graveyard, Max exited the vehicle and began ascending the slope, only to be halted by Lucas. "He harbors affection for her; he merely struggles to acknowledge it." Bailey observes while they converse.
"Certain people struggle to express their love for one another." Steve remarked, glancing at Bailey, that his last statement had completely eluded Bailey's comprehension; he would choose an appropriate occasion to express his love for him. When all individuals were secure
They observed Max ascend the hill for several minutes. They permitted Max to spend time reading to Billy. Bailey understood the significance of this, recognizing the emotional impact that reading a letter would have on her heart. Expressing everything
Steve refrained from speaking. He was bewildered by her meaning. Time elapsed, and Max continued to occupy the same position.
"All right, it's been long enough." He states as he begins to ascend the slope.
"Steve, just give her some time." Lucas snarled, evidently eager to assist the girl.
"I have, all right?" Steve replied. "I'm calling it. She wants to get a lawyer, she can." Steve ascended the hill, proceeding towards Max. He knelt before her.
"Max. Time to giddy up, yeah? Max! Max!" Steve shouted, perhaps trying to rouse her. When she was not engaged with Steve, Bailey promptly began to approach him.
"Max! Wake up! Come on, wake up!" He shouted and redirected his focus to the gathering. "Go get 'em! Call Nancy and Robin! Go!"
Dustin reemerged, after what felt like an age, with Max's Walkman and additional cassettes. "What's her favorite song?" Dustin inquired. "Robin said if she listens... It's too much to explain now. What's her favorite song?"
They hastily examined the cassettes before ultimately presenting one. "It's right here! Got it." Lucas declared. He transferred it to Steve while they placed the headphones on her head.
They yelled at Max again, Max gradually ascended from the ground, levitating despite their attempts to shake her.
Bailey observes Max's body ascend into the air. The apprehension of it influenced Eddie's comments. Chrissy occupied the identical role.
They all shouted and leaped, attempting to bring her down from the ground. They persistently implored her. Bailey vociferously called her name
As Max ascended into the air, she abruptly descended, her eyes wide open. Max exclaimed, hyperventilating as she retreated into their sanctuary.
"Max!" Lucas wept, collapsing to his knees and enveloping her in a consoling embrace. His voice trembled as he addressed Max. "I thought we lost you!"
"I'm still here." Max replied among tears. Bailey gazed at the girl with red hair, overwhelmed by terror.
