▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄

It had been already a few weeks since he started, experience life as an individual of the normal world around him, to better understand the feelings of others, even if you were just learning about yourself in the first place.

"RAIKOU!!!"

Kazuma called, running towards Raikou as he made his way through the rooftops. Raikou had been silently watching the clouds pass of the school, a shadow running past the open sky, it was a fluffy white cloud, making its way across the big blue. He was only the one there, since it had rained recently, so no one would come on relax while the top was still drying up. He was staring straight ahead, looking over so blankly as Kazuma pounced onto him, but Raikou wouldn't give him a reaction.

"Raikou, Raikou!! Where have you been the whole day!!! I've only seen you in classes and you've been so silent all day!!!"

"Isn't tomorrow the day of the Entrance Exam? What if you don't make it to U.A without me and Mirako..."

"Haha!! Stop kidding!! I know I'll make it in, trust me."

He patted Raikou's head, receiving little to almost no reaction with a little pout.

"Ah!! I'm sure the girl's at U.A would go crazy over you!! Your muscular physique, cool hair, sultry eyes-"

"S-Shut up!!"

"And always so stoic looking!!! The girl's would envy a boyfriend like that! They love 'cool' looking men!"

"Oh, yea. Just look at your fan girls over by the door, they're about to break it."

"Oh, well, I'm not interested in any of them— I'm sure you're interested in some girl, one way or another??"

"Since when was this a conversation about girls, I thought we were talking about the Entrance exam..."

Raikou only pouted more, his interested piqued in the exam, and definitely not girls.

▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄

They had made their way through the hallway of Soumei Private high, right before having to fight a mob of girls all swooning for Kazuma's attention, having tricked them into going into a class to meet up later, though Raikou was sure Kazuma would just leave them there.
They had lazily walked into their classroom, not a single though in their heads as they just roamed around, finding Mirako with a couple of her own friends, sitting by one corner of their class, happily chatting about whatever gossip was news today.

The classroom looked well-kept as always, windows slightly ajar to let a gentle breeze into the room, letting the curtains dangle around, the chalkboard already rubbed and cleaned, presumably by the classroom monitors of Class 3E. Their homeroom teacher lounged by his own desk, silently reading a book while unbothered by the many squeals and remarks of the girls, though you could see a little vein pop on his forehead whenever they were just a tad bit loud.

"Hey Mirko!! Hey ladies! Mind if I take her for a minute??"

Mirako bounced on her spot, originally leaning on one of the desks, approaching Kazuma's side to cling to his shoulders, beaming a huge smile.

"Sure thing!" A green girl said, waving back at Mirako as she waved back, followed by the other girls she had previously talked to.
"Cya!!" One girl called, her hair was floating like gravity didn't exist.
"Be back soon! Oh, and bye Itto!" Another called, emitting a warm, yellow aura as the girls had finally went back to their usual chatter.

"HEY HEY HEY!!! What's up!" Mirako skipped right in front of them, turning back every once in a while, to look at them if they had started to speak, passing a few kids, (mostly girls) looking their way.

"Nothing much, me and Raikou were just talking about the entrance exam earlier. I've been training extra hard these past months, so I'd have a high chance of getting in!"

"EH??? Cool!!! I'm gonna bet you barely make it in!! After all, you're still a long way far from me~"

"Stop that Mirko!! I'll surpass you, I'm sure."

...

"Kazuma... did you get hit in the head? You're never this optimistic..."

"Shut up thunder peasant!!"

"YO!! Brawl! Brawl!"

"No thanks..." Raikou only shuddered.

"Nah. I gotta go to this fan meeting—"

"Why? You finaly get a chance to see Hawks again?"

"NO DUMBASS!! The girls in my class proposed it, now every girl wants to see me!!"

"Poor Kazuma."

"Mhm, an unfortunate soul..."

▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄

Kazuma was the only one left again, the rest of his friends had gone home, Mirako had her parents pick her up, and Raikou was picked up by Hawks again, and yet, his parents were probably still at home, watching some lame ass T.V. show while they had a packet of chips right on their laps. Maybe the exterior can show a lot, but no one ever knew. No one knew that their most 'popular student' lived in this sort of situation, it would be nearly impossible to imagine, how could he, THE Kazuma Itto, live a life like this?

"Yo, you forgot to pick me up-" He muttered, if his voice was any louder, he would have been yelled at.

"Just wait there you stupid brat... I gotta finish this episode... Just walk here yourself you lazy son of a bitch!"

"Fine..."

Beep.

"Cmon Yuzu, it's just us again. Us against the world."

The cat meowed in response, earning him a small smile, a radiant smile against the harsh, cruel world he'd go home to.

▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄

Kazuma was the first in his family for a long time to be born with a quirk, and a cool one to add. His parents, both coming from a line of quirkless users, were awfully jealous of the child when he first manifested his quirk. He was still their kid, the kid they were supposed to raise as their own, teaching them about the essence of life, helping him with his quirk manifested, so why did he had to do that all by himself?

He wanted their approval, only that one praise, it was enough for him. Just a single word to come out either of his parent's mouth was a dream, a cold, hopeless dream he strived to achieve. That's why he was like this at school.

He was the cool kid, the one everyone adored, admired, looked up too. He was that one selfless kid, looking out for others, the one everyone fell hard for. He had average grades, though he was pretty humble — he had the talents, the skill, and a quirk that would be of good use to a hero.

His quirk: Creature, allowed him to gain the ability and change a part of his body to fit the animal he touched.

He only manifested it when receiving a pet cat for his birthday, AKA — Yuzu. He had grown a pair of cat ears the resembled Yuzu's, white like snow, when then confirmed his parent's worst fears, and God they were fucking jealous.

▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄

"I'm home!" Kazuma broke through the door with the extra key under the welcome mat. His parents were too 'lazy' to hide it somewhere better, because after all, in this generation, anyone with a stupid strength quirk could break open the door and rob them any minute.

"God you were talking ages..."

"Took you twelve days Kazuma... "

He entered the living room, finding his parent's glued faces right in front of the T.V., just staring there, eyes wide as if they took drugs. The screen was alarmingly bright, the sound coming from them just a blur of murmurs. It wasn't a lively hood like it was at school, it wasn't somewhere he could relax and talk about random shit. His home — was so much different.

He'd even spend for himself, and for the expenses of their parents, unless the two days his father would be gone, he barely made enough to survive. The only way the family would earn income, was because of the depts of many his father had scammed them to pay, or the side hustles Kazuma would tend to during the weekends.

In this stage, his career wouldn't fly. He wouldn't be a hero like he wanted to, he'd had to be stuck here, collecting his parent's wastes for the sake of their family. But Mirako, was his everything.

Mirako had changed him, he loved her, he loved how much she impacted him. She was a luminary.

They had met during kindergarten, when his parents weren't those dead soulless pieces of crap and became friends with her only purely because of one similarity, their blonde hair. They would talk, every single day, play every single day, and if they got the chance, visit each other's houses every single day. Before, he didn't really care. He knew his parent's rough relationship, but he tried not to mind it. With Mirako, he was a hazard of happiness. Everywhere she went, he followed, to collect her radiant and positive energy.

It had become worse when his parents left him at home, unbothered to even send him to school. What about Mirako? This was the first time he'd leave her side, let alone even be separated from her.

Why had his parents change? Why didn't they let him go to school? Why not? He was a good kid, right? He got his quirk, he got the looks, it was everything his parents wanted, right? What was wrong?
