Queen
I hugged my pillow as I let myself be swallowed by my massive blanket. I was angry, hurt, humiliated, weak...I was stripped of any power I had over our situation and that hurt the most. How could I be so wrong about someone?
The door opened and I tensed thinking Dimitri was going to come in and take something that wasn't his once again but as I felt a large arm on my shoulder, I relaxed. I remained facing away from Bezy as he patted my shoulder to comfort me. My tears were threatening to fall once again but I held it in. I was stronger than this.
Bezy walked away from the bed and I heard his large footsteps head into the restroom and turn on the bath. After a few moments, he came back to the bed and picked me up as if I weighed nothing.
I winced and held onto his arm as he set me down on the floor and he pointed to the bathtub. "Bath."
I glanced at the clear water and removed my clothes and stepped into it. After everything, it was exactly what I needed. His filth just needed to be removed from my skin. I sat in the large bath and hugged my knees to my chest.
From the corner of my eye, I saw Bezy sit on the floor outside of the bath and he gently cleaned my back with the sponge and soap. "I kill him?" Bezy asked.
"No, not yet," I said in a whispered voice.
"I try help but dungeon door lock me," he said.
"It's okay," I whispered again as my voice broke. The tears I tried holding back fell down but thankfully the water in the bath disguised it. I didn't want Bezy feeling worse than he already did.
The only question in my mind was where the guards were during this entire encounter. I screamed and yelled for help but no one came.
For the next hour, Bezy helped me bathe and get dressed. When we were done I sat at my vanity and did my make-up for tonight. I already promised Mia and Cleo I'd be going with them so there was no way I'd bail.
With shaky hands, I applied my makeup and lipstick and plastered a smile on my face in the mirror. If I really tried I could look happy, but there was a certain sadness in my eyes that wasn't previously there. One only I would be able to notice since no one knew me that well.
I glanced back at the bed where Bezy sat and played a game on my tablet and sighed. Tonight would be a long night.
I grabbed my purse and stood up from the chair and walked to Bezy. I kissed him on his forehead and he grinned up at me. "I'll see you later," I said.
"Bye!"
I snapped my fingers and I was at the club that Mia and Cleo told me to meet them. I looked at the time on my phone and it was almost seven so I wondered where they were. There was a long line leading up to the club and I searched for the girls.
"Queen!" Cleo called from the sidewalk. She and Mia's arms were locked together and they scurried for my side. We hugged one another quickly and I looked around.
"Should we go in?" I asked.
"You look...comfortable," Cleo said. I looked down at the oversized tee and denim jacket I had on and shrugged. The heels and my exposed legs should've made me look like less of a hobo. "But you look sexy, let's go."
We walked to the front of the line and the bouncer let us through as soon as he saw me. He didn't even bother to check for our reservation. "We reserved the second floor," Cleo said.
We pushed through the loud and crowded dance floor full of sweaty bodies and finally made it to an elevator. I looked up at Mia and laughed as I saw a pair of underwear on the top of her head. Cleo looked at it and her eyes widened.
Mia noticed our stares and her hand when to her head and she pulled off the item. When she saw what it was, she screamed and dropped it. "Ew, ew, ew, ew..."
Her "ews" continued until we were on the elevator and she took a deep breath to stop. "I fucking hate clubs."
I smiled and Cleo laughed and she pressed the button to the second floor. When the doors opened we walked in but halted when we saw the boys.
"You got strippers?!" Cain yelled excitedly. "Oh wow...shit, hey sis," he said awkwardly as he went back to drinking his drink with wide eyes. I looked around the room and saw Caspian, Cain, Xavier, and Dimitri sitting at a table together and I cringed inside.
Dimitri was the last person I wanted to see. I was more afraid than nervous to be around him. Since my powers were useless against him, I could no longer defend myself if I wanted to.
I heard footsteps from the other side of the club and looked up to see Syn walking to the table. I didn't know what I expected him to do but my heart sank as he glanced in my direction and sat in a random seat in the room.
"Cas," Cleo growled lowly.
"Well, let's have some drinks," Caspian said as he clapped his hands and smiled nervously.
"Caspian," Xavier said in an intimidating voice.
"Outside. Now," Cleo snapped at him. Caspian looked amused but I could see the fear in his eyes and Xavier stood up from the booth. Xavier and Cleo took each other's hands and walked to the elevator and Caspian groaned. He stood up wearily and shook his head as he followed after them.
"Mia," Cain said grandly. "My love, my one and only..." he said as he walked towards her.
Her arms were crossed and before he could pull her into a hug she put his hand against his chest. "Did you not just get excited about strippers?" Mia asked.
Cain looked at me as if he was offended and scoffed as he pointed his thumb in Mia's direction. "Pfft, this girl. Am I right?"
"I need a drink if I'm going to be dealing with you all night," she said as she turned and walked to the bar.
Just as I believed he would, he followed behind her and I was left standing alone. I looked to the booth where Syn and Dimitri were sitting alone and I cringed. This was going to be horrible.
"Come on, Princess."
My head shot up at the words but it wasn't Syn who said it. It was the fucking scum of the hour. He gave me a crooked smile as he gestured for me to come and I rolled my eyes as I did what was instructed.
When I arrived at the table he pulled me into the booth and put his heavy arm around my shoulders. His lips went to my ear and I avoided Syn's eyes even though he was sitting right across me.
He probably thought I was the biggest liar in the world right now, which I saw. Dimitri looked up at Syn and cleared his throat. "Syn, this is my girlfriend Queen."
I hesitantly looked to Syn and he had his eyes on me as he held his hand out. "Queen."
"Hi," I said as I shook his hand. I searched his features for any type of emotion whether it be jealousy or anger in my direction, but I saw nothing.
"Show him your ring," Dimitri said with a laugh.
When I didn't move to do so, Dimitri took my hand and held it out. "We're getting married in a month."
My head snapped up in his direction since the date was a surprise to me and he kissed my head.
I moved away from his kiss and he pulled me tighter into his hold. I looked back at Syn whose eyes were focused on me and I felt like disappearing. "Congratulations," he said.
"Thank you," I muttered.
Dimitri continued to show me off and rang about different things and when he saw that I wasn't faking my enthusiasm, his nails dug into my thigh. I held back a wince and plastered a smile on my face but it was painful.
I watched as Syn winced and took a sip of his drink. What was up with him? I looked down at my bleeding thigh where Dimitri's hand was and I bit my lip to hold back a scream.
"And the two of you are in love?" Syn asked.
"Of course," Dimitri spoke up.
"I wasn't asking you." I looked up at Syn to see him taking a sip of his drink as he eyed me. "Are you in love?"
No. I looked between him and Dimitri and my eyes watered at the situation I was in. What did I do to bring myself to this? "I- umm..."
Dimitri smiled down at me as he dragged his hand across my lap, causing me to bleed more. "Yes," I answered weakly as I looked down at the table.
"Here, drink this Princess," Dimitri said. I felt bile rise in my throat as I heard the name Syn called me on his tongue.
"I don't want to," I said with a smile.
He glared at me and I reluctantly took the drink into my hand. I drank the shot and winced as it burned my throat. When I was done, I set the glass down and Dimitri one by one made me drink more shots.
I began feeling lightheaded but I was forced into the conversation by his hand etching warnings into my leg. After thirty minutes everyone was back and talking and I turned to Dimitri. "Can I use the restroom?"
"You need to ask him?" Syn spoke up.
Dimitri's jaw clenched and he looked down at me. "Of course she doesn't. Let's go."
He stood up and took my hand and practically dragged me to the restroom. Once we were inside he locked the door and turned on all the faucets in the bathroom. He stormed towards me and gripped my chin in his hands. "Are you trying to fucking embarrass me?"
"No," I said dryly.
He let go of me roughly and turned around to run his hand down his face. When he turned to face me, his hand connected with my cheek in a hard slap and I hit my head against the bathroom door. "That's for not doing what I tell you," he said.
I laid my hand on my cheek as the pain began to fade and I stood up straight. He raised his hand to hit me again but a hand grabbed his and he looked at it in shock. "Touch her again and I'll fucking kill you."
Dimitri laughed and dropped his hand. "We were just talking. Weren't we Queen?" Syn didn't seem convinced so I nodded and Dimitri took a step towards me. His steps, however, halted when he became paralyzed in his spot by the sound of a gun being cocked.
My eyes widened as I saw Syn holding a gun to his head with a blank look on his face. "Don't go near her," he ordered. "Queen, get behind me."
"Syn, don't do th-,"
"Get the fuck behind me. Now!" He snapped. I jumped at his tone and did as he said as I ignored Dimitri's angry eyes.
When I was behind Syn, he still didn't drop the gun and Dimitri turned to face us with an innocent look on his face. "Listen, Syn I wouldn't do this if I-"
Syn shot the gun into his head and Dimitri's body fell to the floor. I held in my scream and looked down at the body. I was relieved yet terrified at what might happen now. "Is he-"
"He's not dead," Syn said as he put his gun away. "He'll be up in a couple of hours. Take my hand."
"Syn I can't just leave my-"
"Your what?!" He seethed.
"My fiancรฉ," I answered quietly. If Dimitri wasn't dead I couldn't risk him coming back and thinking I had betrayed him.
Syn laughed. "Fuck that. Come with me. Now," he ordered as he held out his hand. I reluctantly took his hand and he snapped his fingers and we were back at his house in Juva.
He let go of my hand when we were inside and ran a hand through his hair as he paced a small distance in front of me. When he stopped he scoffed and turned to me. "So that was all a lie," he said.
I was confused until memories of last night passed my mind and I closed my eyes. When I opened them I wiped my eyes and looked at him. "I'm so sorry, I didn't want to-,"
"Shut up," he said as he shook his head.
I nodded and he stepped towards me and pulled me against his chest. He soothingly rubbed my back and I bit my lip as the newfound comfort coaxed me to tears.
"I'm sorry I wasn't there for you."

My heart ๐โค๏ธ
Ughhh these chapters were so emotional to me. I hope no one cried as I did though๐.
When Dimitri wakes up, how will he react to Syn shooting him?๐ Is anyone scared for Queen? Will Queen tell Syn what Dimitri did to her?๐ญ
I wonder what happened between Cleo, Caspian, and Xavier when they stepped out. I guess we'll see.
