(Imagine being more inspired to work on a book where you barely have an idea for the plot instead of the book on your main account.
Could never be me.)

Someone entered an apartment.

He wore a wrinkled black shirt with a faded design, too far gone to be considered a design, and a grey and white jacket was tied around his waist. His jeans were faded in color, but ironically, splashes of color were everywhere on his jeans: black, light grey, white, and purple splotches decorated the dull periwinkle jeans.

Another person sat on the couch on their phone, sporting a Pikachu onesie because fuck you, society, onesies are comfy, okay? Pikachu kinnie glanced up from his phone when the other had entered. "Oh, hey, you're ba-"

The other headed into his room and shut the door.

"..." Pikachu kinnie sighed, and dully glanced at his phone again.

A girl poked her head out of a closet, her black hair pulled into a low ponytail. "Getting worse, hm?"

"I wish we could help..." He mumbled. "...but he won't even look me in the eye anymore..."

The girl chuckled. "You got off easy. I tried asking him what he wanted to eat for lunch yesterday, and he threw a box at me!"

"Is that why we had Taco-Bell knockoffs?" Pikachu kinnie raised an eyebrow at her.

"Oh, come on. Tac-O-Yeah's not that bad." The girl scoffed. "It's closer than Taco-Bell anyways."

"Their food's overpriced, and it tastes like cardboard."

"Would you rather starve?"

"If the food's gonna be from a place that magically 'poof'ed into existence a month ago, then, yes."

"That was a rhetorical question."

Pikachu kinnie huffed and crossed his arms. "What are you even doing, anyways?"

"'m looking for Evan's happiness." She replied simply.

"Har har. Be serious." Pikachu kinnie deadpanned.

"I am!" Ponytail girl scoffed. "Y'know that Kyran guy Evan rants about sometimes?"

"Mhm. What about him?"

"Well, he knows a guy who knows a girl who knows another girl who knows a neither who knows a guy who know a girl who knows a neither who knows another neither who knows a girl who-"

"Yumi." Pikachu kinnie deadpanned.

Ponytail girl, who was apparently called Yumi, held up her hands defensively, a small smile on her face. "Just joking. Apparently, Kyran has a way with coding, so I'm going to ask him if he could create a program that replicated her. Y'know, until he's ready to move on..."

"...and how would searching around in the closet accomplish anything...?"

"Evan once told me his number and I wrote it down in a notebook!" She declared proudly, before looking back into the closet. "...nowwhichonewasitagain-"

Pikachu kinnie glanced at his phone. "...you do know I can just ask Evan for it if you can't find-"

"Shut the hell up, I've got this."

Pikachu kinnie gave her a dubious look, but glanced away and continued fiddling on his phone.

About two minutes later, Yumi was begging Pikachu kinnie to get Kyran's phone number.

"Alec! Pleeeeeease!"

"Oh, I'm sorry!" Pikachu kinnie - no, Alec, mocked. "I thought you got this."

"Don't use my words against me, just ask him!" Yumi fumed.

Alec studied his phone in mock thought. "Hm... no."

"Alec, I will gouge your eyes out."

"Oh, so scary, what are you, a Yandere?"

"Damn, I'm glad I'm not." She shuddered. "What type of sick freak thinks that hurting your lover will get them to love you back?"

"Not anyone we know, thankfully." Alec snorted.

Yumi shrugged, before her expression morphed into one of realization. "Don't change the subject! Just ask him!"

"You can't make me." He smiled thinly.

"I will break your phone." She snapped back.

Alec held up his free hand defensively. "Okay, okay, geez. I'm asking him now." He began typing something on his phone. "Calm your tits, please..."

Yumi rolled her eyes and crossed her arms as she waited.

"...m'kay! Got it." Alec handed her his phone. "Just send him a call, then give me my phone back."

"Can do... though, question? Why do you have Evan's contact as 'ultimate simp: fuck off souda'?"

"What? You're acting like I'm wrong."

"Fair."

"So, you can do it?"

"Duh! I'm the only one in the world that won't half-ass this!"

"And you're sure you don't want any payment?"

"Nah... unless getting me a date counts as payment?"

"You wish."

"Damn. Welp, I've been swamped with exams and stuff, so if worse comes to worst, expect it by Sunday."

"Only three days? Seriously?"

"Mhm! I told you I'm the best!"

"Huh, thanks Kyran."

"No problem!"

"Kyran, did you remember to turn in that essay for Mrs. Frank?"

"Ah, shit, I didn't even start it! Sorry, Yumi, I gotta go! Bye!"

"Oh, alright-" Kyran hung up before Yumi could say goodbye.

Alec glanced at her. "Well?"

"Went surprisingly well." Yumi tossed his phone to him. "The latest we can expect it is in three days."

"Huh. Kyran's really good at what he does." Alec looked impressed.

"No duh." Yumi smiled. "I'm gonna go out and get some food. Anything specific?"

"If you get Tac-O-Yeah again, I'm shoving a blade down your throat."

Yumi just smiled, before inching over to his door. She lightly knocked, before opening it. "Elijah? I'm going out to get som-"

She stopped mid-sentence and hurriedly shut the door. A loud thud rang out.

"...so, he really did throw a box at you." Alec raised an eyebrow.

"What, you think I'd lie?"

"Yup."

A group of five all chattered excitedly in Tac-O-Yeah, the 'Closed' sign hanging on the front door. A picture frame sat on a table, with five lit candles surrounding it. The girl in the framed picture had mocking marker scribbles and insults decorated everywhere...

Erm, side notes!

Well, for one, Yumi is NOT a Yandere in this AU, so she lived out her life like a normal human being.

Everyone has gone through personality changes, since this is an AU, and does NOT follow after the events of YHS. The most notable personality change is Kyran's.

Everyone's aged up! Kyran, Evan, Aly, and Kai are in university, Alec is a job-hopper, Elijah, and formerly, Celeste are free-loaders, Yumi works part-time at a maid cafรฉ, and the Krew (excluding Lunar) are all self-employed at Tac-O-Yeah! (I'm debating whether or not to add Prince... if I do, he'd either be a side character to help advance the plot, or, uh, dead-... oh, maybe I should try adding Felicia and Brittney into the plot... oh, and maybe Evelyn and Valarie... damn, I totally forgot about Meghan too-)

Also! Last thing! I- didn't entirely mean to make Evan have a crush on Kyran, but-ยฏ\_(ใƒ„)_/ยฏ
Ooo, maybe I should try writing 'unrequited love'...-
