Namjoon and Arin were pushed out of the spinning portal and landed with a hard thud on the cold polished floor of the Seoul History Museum.Upon their arrived, the room was filled with a fine dust

Namjoon slammed into the counter, then fell on his side, muttering as he clutched his stomach. Pain etched on his pale, moist face as Arin landed with a slide under the counter near Namjoon.

Namjoons' eyes were tightly shut, and his expression was painful; Arin's eyelids fluttered as she sought to get her bearings. When she observed Namjoon groaning in pain, her eyes widened with shock.

'Joonie!"...she scrambled immediately by his side, trembling as she pushed her hand against his chest.

Her eyes were perplexed, unable to think straight. "Joon stay with me---" he returned, still wounded from the blade of Naksus' sword. The room remained illuminated by the portal's sparkling light.

Namjoon opened his eyes, squinting as he stared into Arins' terrified eyes, and began to smirk. Just suddenly, their attention is drawn to a loud wiring sound as Namjoon clasps the gold and green relic in his hand. Suddenly, an invisible force yanked it from Namjoon's grasp, sending it whirling madly before launching itself across the room. It became embedded in an ancient stone table where a piece was missing. Both Arin and Namjoons were silent, their mouths hanging open in shock.

As the relic clicked into place, a subtle humming sound vibrated across the air, and the gateway behind them flashed before vanishing before their awestruck eyes. Suddenly, a chilly draft seems to have invaded the room.

Namjoon was struggling to sit up, but Arin saw that his hand was still resting on his stomach. "Joon, you will be okay..." Arin reassured him. As she embraced him, she whispered, her voice betraying her continued anxiety.

Namjoon looked at her with genuine adoration, inhaled deeply, and then giggled uncontrollably. "Omg, we made it back...wow, it is the first time in six years that you called me Joonie---" his deep dimples played hide-and-seek.

Recognising that Namjoon was making fun of her, Arin furrowed up her forehead in confusion. He was okay...no wound ...no dying. What the Hell, she almost died from terror.

Her eyes widen as she pursed her lips and started to hit him on his arm, Namjoon shriek at the blows she administer out of fury,ย  "You bloody fool...don't you realised how scared I was...I thought the physical wounds transformed into our world."

That made her so angry that she jumped up and turned away to grab her backpack, which was lying a few feet away. She had had enough of his excuses, arrogance, and sly ability to play on her emotions. Why the heck would she save him and then transport him back to this awful place? They returned with all their memories intact. She could have happily married; she was the 'it' girl, beloved by Dan-gu. She is admired and revered for her tremendous magical skills. She was now back to her dull, modern existence, which was plagued by despair.

But before she could take another step out of the archive room, a strong grip clutched her wrist back, it was not only firm but desperate.

"Arin, wait!" His voice was raw with emotion, but there was something in his tone of voice that caused her to stop walking.
Her heart raced erratically.

Before she could respond, Namjoon whirled her around and pressed her back against the cool wall between the artifact-filled containers. Her eyes flashed as he locked her in his muscular arms.

Although her voice was shaking, Arin took a deep breath and yelled, "Let me go, Kim Namjoon!"

She had never seen Namjoon's dark eyes so intensely before; he just shook his head.

"I can't Ari," he strangled it out, "not again"

And then, just like that he kissed her.

The kiss was not delicate or hesitant; rather, it was raw and passionate, filled with hidden need. His hands were cupping her face, his thumbs caressed her cheeks, and a single tear streamed down her cheeks, tears she had no idea were falling. In that kiss, everything they battled against, every stolen glance, every whispered, unresolved feeling ultimately crushed down with a dizzying effect.

Arin's hands remained frozen at her side, finally regaining life as one clutched his shirt in her fist and the other gently snaked but around the back of his neck. She could have pushed him away, but the familiar taste of his lips would not let her go. Six years of animosity, hatred, bitterness, fury, insomnia, melancholy, and disappointment with love were not enough.

But instead, she returned his kiss with fierceness. It was all the heartache and love that was buried under the anger as her lips moved in sync with his warm, firm lips.

The way they clung to one other, crushed against the wall, made them fearful that one of them would vanish altogether.

The kiss seemed to last forever, and as they gently parted, their breaths mingled and their chests heaved up and down. Namjoon pressed his forehead against hers, his eyes pressed shut, as if what he was about to say was too much to bear.

'I'm sorry'ย

Arin's eyes blinked as she searched his face. His hand trembled slightly against her hot skin.

'Ari, please forgive me. I am sorry for hurting you, fooling you about my initial intentions, and not being there when you needed me the most," he whispered with a little tremble in his voice, tinged with sorrow, "for...for wrecking your life before it even begun."

Arins' eyes welled up with tears, but not out of rage.

His fingers lightly brushed against her cheek, wiping away her tears, and his intense eyes made her quiver. "I...I never stopped loving you, Arin. I never will. It began as a bet, but loving you was not a bet. Nam Arin, I love you...unquenchable, uncontrolled, and never-ending..."

Arin clenched her eyes shut and let out a soft sobโ€”the words she had been longing for for the past six years.

She swallowed painfully, her fingers still holding tightly against his shirt. "That is all I needed to hear," she muttered, her voice choked.

Namjoon exhaled shakily, embracingย  her close against his chest and lovingly caressing her, as if he could mend the broken shards of the past, but Arin knew that certain scars would leave a beautiful trace.

Arin could hear his breath hitching as he buried his head in her neck folds, "Ari...I swear I will make it up to you. These six years were the most agonising because I was near you but not with you.Can we please start over?" He lifted his face and stared pleadingly at her.

Arin smiled softly and nodded, "The scars are still there...but we can try to mend the bridges. I forgive you, Joon. But, what about your girlfriend?"

Namjoon smile, and softly kiss her lips once more," I need to talk to Min-juย  Our engagement is not official. I'm not going to marry a girl I don't love. Our time in magicalย  Daeho taught me one thing...to pursue what is precious to you. Broken dreams can be mended. Ari...I truly love you."

Arin smile, a renewed light entered her heart that illuminated her face," So, you don't have any genuine feelings for her? "

Namjoon shook his head, chuckling slightly, "We discovered that we were bethrothed as children, but we had nothing in common. She wants to be an actress, but she despises history. Our relationship is more platonic than romantic. I thought that if I worked hard enough to love her, it would happen. But you were always on my mind, even if you despised me and argued with me. Those interactions drove me closer to you...talk to you...enjoy rile you up. I would never give up on you again."

Arin smile happily,"Oh Joon...I still love you, and being around you but not with you was excruciating. After graduation, I intended to go to England to be away from you. I could not imagine myself in a city where you are married to someone else..."

When he heard her express her feelings, he felt so weightless and elated that he kissed her again, leaving both breathless.

Just then, they heard frantic footsteps running towards the archives.Arin and Namjoon instantly distanced themselves from one another in order to avoid raising questions among their peers. He does not want to jeopardise their reputation.

Dan-gu, Yul, Mr Park, and a security guard raced inside with expressions of sheer relief on their faces. A few of the museum employees trailed behind them, apparently shaken.

Mr. Park stared at Namjoon and Arin, "Are you two all right. Did you feel the tremors? According to sources, a mild earthquake occurred. I am glad you are fine. Fortunately, the structure appears to be undamaged, so everything appears to be in order.

Dan-gu rushed over to Arin and gave her a quick glance. "Are you okay, Arin? I was really anxious---"

Yuls's eyes widened."It was really weird, though; even though it was only a few seconds, it felt like the earth was turning."

Angry, Namjoon pinched his brows, understanding why he had disliked Arin's silly classmate. He even got it right to marry Arin during the Joseon period, but his days are numbered, and he would not allow him to date her.

Arin nodded silently, "I am fine...we are fine, and we felt the earthquakes."

She cast a quick glance at Namjoon as their gazes shifted to the museum workers. Their eyes were filled with awe at the security guard. She was Mudeuk in the old timeline, but she was extremely harsh-eyed in this one. Yul, who later turned out to be Namjoon's brother, Dan-gu, Mr. Park, and his son Jimin, all had parts to play in Daeho. They noticed the assistant curator Jang-uk who was part of the dynasties and Jungkook, the young staff intern ,who was a trainee mage. It was so surreal.

"It is getting late," Namjoon informed Mr. Park. Everyone appears a little shaken, so they will continue their studies the next day.

"Arin, let us go. I still have important things to do," Namjoon said, turning to face Arin.

Arin simply nodded and grabbed her back from the table where it had fallen as Namjoon yanked her back.

Arin smiled, "Okay, you may drive me home."

The peer groups gasped when Arin failed to deliver a sarcastic punch at Namjoon. Perhaps she was too shocked by the earthquake.

Arin and Namjoon gave a polite bow of greeting and exited the room, hoping that no one would accidentally break the curse relic. Surprisingly, it was a simple spirit plaque in the ancient realm.

In the car. The silence were deafening.

Before Namjoon started the car, he looked at Arin and said, "So, Arin, what is the path forward?"

Arin inhaled deeply, "Can we start over after the graduation and after you speak with your girlfriend? "I do not want the entire university's attention and a potential dating scandal looming over us." She seemed a little concerned. She only wants to finish university without causing any controversy.

He turned to her with a loving grin, saying, "I will do anything to keep you safe, Ari. We have wasted six years. His eyes were saddened.

Arin expressed nervousness: "Joonie, would you mind meeting my mother and brother? After our trauma in theย  ancient world and the loss of my ancient 'father,' I simply want to go home and tell my real family how much I love and appreciate them." She bit her lip nervously.

"We can go...does your family still dwell in Suwon?" Namjoon asked with a smile and a little hand squeeze. He inquired curiously. He recalls that during their time together, she would often confide in him about her family's difficulties, including the fact that her parents were set to get divorced and that he had heard a rumour that her teenage brother was ill.

She grinned and nodded, saying, "You remember...yes." After my parents divorced, they sold our family house. However, three years ago, Eomma rented a small cottage in a neighbourhood just outside Suwon.

Namjoon chuckled, "Great, let us go...it is already 5 p.m. and, strangely, I feel like we have been in Daeho for about six months."

Arin laughs, her eyes gleaming. "It is so magical, and no one will believe we time travel. That relic must be inside a glass container, because I hope no one is a famous 'Clutz Extraordinaire' like you which even lost their ' memory. They'll might find timeselves in the middle of a bloody historicalย  conflict"

Namjoon smiled warmly at Arins' newfound enthusiasm, "Very funny..."

Amid laughter and teasing they drove out of the grounds of the National Museum.

When they arrived in Suwon, it was already 6 p.m. Namjoon recommended that they eat first, so he drove them to a tiny coffeeshop where they had a 'first date' eating a full lunch. He also purchased a gift basket for Arins' mother and a box of Korean snacks for her brother. Arin simply grinned as she purchased a giant rainbow mash mallow lollipop. Namjoon just smirked, because she still has a sweet tooth.

Arin even texted her family to tell them she was planning to surprise them with a guest. Her mother was overjoyed because she never just showed up unannounced with a guest.

They arrived in front of Arins' gorgeous cottage, where the lawn was beautifully mowed and the garden was adorned with bright blossoms. The entire area appears quiet, like a small retreat. Namjoon thinks it is extremely adorable. He was accustomed to the lavish lifestyles of the chaebol, residing in one of the largest mansions in Seoul.

"This is it...the Nam residence," Arin said anxiously to Namjoon.. Do not be too shocked by what you could find, please.

Namjoon gave her a gentle peck on the lips and nodded, saying, "Do not worry. I will accept your family because I love you."

They strolled hand in hand towards the massive white wooden door.Their arms were full of the things they had brought.

The door unexpectedly opened, and Arin's mother shouted with delight at the sight of her daughter, her eyes widening as she smirked at her.

"Welcome home, darling, and a hearty welcome to our newest guest." They bowed to welcome each other.
Arin's mother smiled when she saw Namjoon's deep dimpled smile.

Namjoon widened his eyes, somewhat recognising Arins' beautiful mother not because they had previously crossed paths, but because Lady Jin stood in front of him who was Arins' mother during the Joseon era. His face of awe made Arin giggle.

They were brought farther into the comfortable, well designed home after exchanging their shoes.Namjoon was pleasantly surprised by the manner Arin was brought up.

Arin gave her mother a knowing look, "Eomma, this is Kim Namjoon...my peer mentor?" She just stated. Namjoon merely smirked.

"Thank you for the warm welcome, Ms Nam," he says, bowing slightly. She gave the tall guy a big smile as they strolled into the living room.

Ms Nam smiled, "Your brother is at night school and will be back later. Have you eaten?---"

Just then, they heard frantic footsteps coming down the stairs...

"Ari....Ari," screamed an ecstatic voice.

Namjoon and Arin stood shocked by the unexpected noise, with Arin's face flushed and Namjoon's eyes widening as he peered at a tiny kid clutching Arin's waist with glee. But when the young boy turned his adorable face, Namjoon felt the world spin.

In front of him stood a small, beautiful youngster with a striking resemblance to his own features at that age. The unmistakable dragon eyes, the deepest dimples, and untamed black hair.

Arin bit her lip, inhaled slowly, and looked up into Namjoon's perplexed eyes, "Joon...meet Eunjoon...your kid..."
