Please go back and re-read the "rules" chapter of this book. It has been updated and entries not abiding those rules will not be able to qualify and enter the selection pool.

For this round, I am going to be leaving the contest quite open. 

What I mean by that is that even though I am going to be giving you a couple of prompts below, you can also submit open entries: an entry on any theme, topic, style etc.

Note: In no way am I going to judge open entries differently from those that abide by the prompts, so feel free to submit the entry that you feel most proud of.

As indicated in this book's description and foreword, however, entries are restricted to poetry, short stories and fanfiction only. Please do not submit any other literary style as the entry will automatically be disqualified.

PROMPTS (adequate for poetry, short stories AND fanfiction)

01 | Create a literary work which revolves around one or more of the following key words:

darkness | ruins | innocence | maybe | scream

02 | You've just returned home from war only to find your family missing without a trace | this could lead to the creation of a story that track the missing family, or revolves around the realisation that they are missing, or provides an explanation; anything really.

03 | Your literary work must end in the past. What I mean by this is that your poem or story can be set in the present or future, but the ending must be in the form of a flash-back (or any other creative way you can think of ending your piece in the past)
