That minute, Mr.Beaver hurried over the grass panting. Edmund's horse neighed loudly.

"Woah, horsie!" Edmund exclaimed.

"My name is Philip," said the horse shortly.

"Sorry."

Susan looked at me, confused.

"Mr.Beaver? Is there anything wrong?" I asked in behalf of Susan.

"The White Witch has demanded a meeting with Aslan!"  Mr.Beaver gasped.

Edmund and Peter traded glances. Daphne let out a yell of frustration.

"She's on her way here!" Mr.Beaver continued.

Edmund and Peter looked back at Mr.Beaver. Lucy looked frightened and Daphne looked angry.

"Then, we have to hurry!" I said as I grabbed Daphne's dagger. "No killing her, Daphne."

"Why? She killed our parents!"

"What's done is done," I said calmly.

"Come on," Peter said as he and Edmund hopped off their horses.

"Go," I said to the horses. The horses seemed to understand as they hopped off toward the other directions.

We all rushed back to Aslan's Camp, Mr.Beaver hurrying with us as we ran. Aslan was out of his tent, Ginarrbrik and Auntie Jadis were already there when we reached Aslan's Camp.

"Make way!" Ginarrbrik yelled in his pipey voice through the loud hisses and boos. "Make way for the queen of Narnia!"

"Queen of Narnia," Daphne muttered under her breath. "She won't be queen for long when I kill her."

"Please," Edmund muttered.

"Keep quiet both of you!" Peter and I hushed.

The one-eyed giants set Auntie Jadis down. Auntie Jadis got up, glanced at Edmund, and went to Aslan.

"You have a traitor in your midst, Aslan," she said.

Everyone gasped and looked around. Edmund stared down at his slippers.

"Oh I'm going to murder - " Daphne started.

"Shut up," I whispered.

"The defense was not against you," said Aslan calmly.

"Have you forgotten the laws on which Narnia was built on?" Auntie Jadis asked.

Aslan let out a growl. "Do not cite the deep magic to me, Witch! I was there when it was written."

"Then you remember well that every traitor belongs to me. His blood is my property," Auntie Jadis said.

"Try take him then!" Peter yelled, taking out his sword.

"Do you think mere force will deny me my right?" Auntie Jadis asked. "Little king," she added.

"You're just jealous!" I said loudly as Peter lowered his sword.

Auntie Jadis turned and gave out a bitter laugh.

"Jealous? Of them? You know, you're cowardly, just like your father and mother," she said.

"My parents weren't cowardly!" Daphne and I hollered.

"Your father," said Auntie Jadis through gritted teeth. "Was a moron. He died begging for mercy. And your mother? She cried."

"Mother and Father died in their sleep," I said slowly.

"No! I slaughtered them!" Auntie Jadis roared.

There were gasps, and moans and shouts. Edmund and Peter stepped back and gasped in horror, Lucy let out a shriek, and Susan might have whispered, "I'm so sorry, Eleanor and Daphne."

"You slaughtered them! Wow, how is that a surprise?" I asked, fighting back tears.

"Who else are your idols, Eleanor? Your stupid brother and sister?" Auntie Jadis taunted. "Well, guess what? They're rock solid. That's what happens when you enter The White Witch's castle."

"You - " Daphne started.

"Daphne, shut up," I said.

"Why -"

"DAPHNE! You're definitely the worst person ever, Jadis."

"Eleanor," said Auntie Jadis laughing. "When are you going to learn? You can't overrule a tyrant, little traitor."

"Do you know something about Eleanor?" said Daphne angrily. "She can rumble the Earth. She's like thunder when she speaks!"

"Aslan knows that unless I have the blood as the lord amands," the White Witch said turning back to Aslan.

"All of Narnia will be overturned and perish in fire and water!" She turned to the crowd.

There were loud gasps and screams of agony. The whole crowd was muttering furiously.

"That boy — " said the White Witch, turning to Edmund and pointing a finger at him, "will die on the Stone Table."

Edmund turned to Peter, who looked like he was about to cry. Then he looked at me. I couldn't look back at him. I knew the tradition.

"As is tradition," added the White Witch. She turned to Aslan again. "You dare not refuse me."

"Enough," said Aslan, still in the samea calm voice. "I shall talk to you alone." He went inside his tent and the White Witch followed.

As soon as they were gone, I hit my sword into the earth angrily. Again and again.

"Damn her — kill her, whatever you do, make sure she dies!"

"Eleanor, calm down," Daphne said.

"Eleanor, I understand what she did to your parents and older siblings was terribly wrong," Susan said.

"Major understandment!" I said angrily. "She - is - so - dead - to - me!"

"Sit down," Lucy said sadly as she and Susan, Peter, and Edmund sat down on the grass.

"Look — Edmund, I'm really sorry," I added softly as I sat down.

"She's like that, the White Witch," added Daphne.

"It wasn't your fault," Edmund said sadly.

After what seemed like an hour, the White Witch came out. Everyone immediately stood up. She slowly walked to the front, followed by Aslan. The Pevensies stared at Aslan, pleading him silently.

"She has renounced the claim of the Son of Adam's blood," he said finally.

Everyone hurried around Edmund, their faces filled with joy. Susan and Lucy hugged Edmund, and Peter clapped him on the shoulder.

"How do I know your promise will be kept?" asked the White Witch.

Aslan roared and the White Witch sat down, clearly scared. Everyone laughed and cheered as the White Witch's servants and her went out the camp.
