Four days later...

The sombre sky above was heavy with grey clouds, mirroring your deep grief. A light drizzle fell over the cemetary, as if the heavens themselves wept for a life lost. The atmosphere was thick with mourning as students all clothed in black, teachers, and family members gathered to pay their final respects to the loved one.

But you just stood there in Eunwoos arems, lost in a haze of guilt, confusion, and overwhelming grief. You could barely hear the murmured condolences or the sobs of Dahyun and Chaeyoung you, your gazes only fixed on the polished casket before you.

You and your friends quietly stood by the graveside, your hearts shattered. You could barely see through the blur of tears that streamed unapologetically over your pale cheeks, eyes hidden by dark glasses. Your fingers trembled as you clutched a single white rose.

Even the rustle of the wind through the nearby trees was giving a sense of grief. The whole crowd was solemn, their stoic faces pale with deep sorrow as they stood around the white casket.

You just stand there, your body trembling as you clinged unto a sorrowful face, Eunwoo. You couldn't help but let out strangled sobs that are heartbreaking, and your quiet voice is thick with pain.

You sobbed uncontrollably against Eunwoo's chest and whispered with a muffled tone, "Why, Eunwoo? Why did this happen to me? Why didn't death choose me instead? An innocent life..."

Eunwoo sighs deeply as he tightens his embrace around you; his heart was also breaking at your words. He strokes your hair gently, trying to console you, though he feels the same weight of your grief.

Eunwoos' voice was soft, "Luna, it wasn't your fault. None of this was your fault. He surely loved you, and he wouldn't want you to blame yourself and live a life of guilt and regret. It's okay to grieve, but don't ever let this guilt consume you or your future."

Dahyun and Chaeyoung stand on either side of you, their faces etched with sadness and red-rimmed eyes, as they watch you crack. They didn't speak much, but their presence was a silent support, offering you what little comfort they could.

A few steps away from you, Beomgyu, Taehyun, and Soobin stand with saddening, downcast eyes, their expressions sorrowful and their helplessness as they witness your pain.

Beomgyu's hands were clenched into fists at his sides, his face pale, hair hanging over his eyes as he tried struggling to hold back his own tears. Taehyun's jaw was clenched tight, and he occasionally glimpsed away at the other sobbing students; he couldn't bear the sight of your grief. Soobin's eyes were red, and his usually calm demeanour was shattered by the intensity of the moment.

When it was time for the casket to get into the earth, you pulled slightly away from Eunwoo, your face streaked with tears, as you trailed behind Dahyun to approach the casket. All the students were holding a single white flower in their hands. As you clutched the flower in your trembling finger, you gazed down at the smooth surface.

You and your friends gathered around the grave, your hands clasped together, heads bowed, and each of you placed a white rose atop the smooth casket surface, whispering their final goodbyes. And with a deep, shaky breath, you gently tossed the flower onto the casket, your heart breaking all over again.

You whispered through your tears, "I'm so sorry, Minsung... I'll never forget you. Thank you."

As you caressed the smooth surface of the wood. You last goodbye.

....

Five days earlier

In a flashback, you could still feel it clearly: the panic in the dark storeroom, the flickering lights, that heavy iron fitting swaying dangerously above you as you stood there paralysed in fear in one position, bound by unseen chains around you. The ominous atmosphere was filled with eeriness. You and Aunt Ines knew instantly that the Oracle wasn't playing fair. It wanted its blood sacrifice. You were crying, begging them not to come rescue you.

Her friends and Yeonjun were trying to rush to your aid, pushing through the darkness, their footsteps echoing through the water pools. But then suddenly, out of nowhere, in a burst of unexpected speed, Minsung had pushed through the small crowd, screaming your name as he started sprinting towards you with sheer desperation you'd never seen before.

Your breath hitched as you recalled that precise moment that has such a long-lasting impact on your lives. Minsung shoved a screaming Dahyun aside as she tried to reach for you, and in one powerful movement, he collided with Yeonjun, both reached you simultaneously as both of them launched into your frozen form. You tumbled to the floor as the light fitting crashed down at rapid speed. Minsung was there-his body was limp over both you and Yeonjun, his arms shielding you both as the iron fitting slammed down piercing his back. Minsung saved you, but he paid the ultimate price of self sacrifice.

Now here at his funeral, you just couldn't stop crying. He died because he liked you so much-because he wanted to protect you, even if you had never realised the depth of his affection. Minsung become your hero, and the fact that he was gone left a painful emptiness in your soul.

It was unfathomable; a blood sacrifice was made unexpectedly. Minsung had loved you, and he had died for you because of that love. How will you ever forget the sacrifice he made on the Oracle altar? A life for a life...someone that had to give his life because of his love for you.

As the rest of the crowd left the graveyard, Eunwoo gently touched your arm, breaking you from your reminicing trance. Eunwoo gestured towards the stoney pathway where a sleek, black Mercedes waited in the distance.

"Luna...that's your family's car," Eunwoo said quietly, giving you a final hug as you nodded.

Your eyes widened in surprise when the back car door opened, and a figure slowly stepped out. His arm was in a blue sling, his face pale white, and a medium sized plaster was visible under his hair where he had suffered a concussion from the fatal fall that took a life. He was unconcious for three days and the medical facility had discharged him today. He was a little late for the proceedings.

Yeonjun-your soulmate that partially saved you. His protective love saved you that night rendered the curse powerless, but Minsung did the ultimate sacrifice, saving the lives of both the two destined soulmates.

He smiled weakly at you, despite the discomfort that was etched into his handsome features. The broken glass shards from the light fitting had pierced his arm, leaving him with a slight painful injury, but Minsungs' slender body had taken the direct hit.

You smiled through your sadness as you rushed to your soulmate Yeonjun, who stood with his healthy arm outstretched, your heart swelling with relief and melancholy as you wrapped your arms carefully around his waist. He winced a little as some parts of his body were still affected, but his good arm came around you, holding you tightly, as he kissed your forehead tenderly.

From a black van, various eyes were locked on the newest couples, embracing as they saw the deep affection mirrored in their eyes. His friends, Woojin and San, his Txt Members and especially Dahyun and Chaeyoung softly smiled as they watched their friends' happiness unfold. Yeonjun pursued the girl he always secretly was in loved with...hopefully unbeknownst to them, she might turn out as his 'soulmate.'

Dahyun and Chaeyoung just smirk because Luna took them into her confidence and came clean about her extraordinary gift, which they swore to keep secret.

.....

A week later, news of Minsung's heroic deed had gone viral in your community and on social media. His agency answered questions from various media outlets. Minsung was celebrated as the hero who died saving his two classmates, of whom one was a famous idol, and his family was awarded a medal of honour by the mayor, police, and their agencies, Ceo. Even Yeonjuns Ceo attended the special event. Minsung's name became known not just as the very quiet, talented trainee actor boy who admired you but as a new idol-a symbol of courage and love.

After that whirlwind of grief and memorials, as well as the seniors' graduation from Hamlin Arts School , Yeonjun family decided to invite the Chai family on a much-needed vacation to Jeju Island, where the Choi family owned a secluded beach vacation house. There was renewed cheer and happiness in your family.

The shaman in Mexico told your Aunt Ines that something strange happened in the museum where the relic was exhibited. A red glow was captured on the surveillance cameras-lowering over the sun relic, engulfing the relic, and then it vanished out of the doors. It was a strange and odd occurrence.

The Hernandez family paid their dues to the Oracle. It seemed its terrorising effects left the clan.

.....

As the two of you were walking hand in hand along the shore, the sun was busy setting behind you, while the gentle sound of the waves filled the peaceful silence on the secluded beach. The air smelt crisp but salty, the breeze cool, and it felt as if the yokes and burden of the past few weeks were finally beginning to lift from your shoulders. You and your family never experienced such a liberating power in your house. It felt as if darkness left your lives; you could be free-free from fear, daily dread or terror, and the suffocating presence of the Oracle breathing down your neck.

All that mattered was that your family lineage was saved. If you have grand daughters, they won't be fated by this curse of the Oracle. The seer gift might stop with you because you are one of the most powerful recipients of this gift.

Josรฉ Hernandez, your ancestor can enter his rest peacefully knowing that you saved your clan from the vicious cycle. No more nightmares that will plague you and your coming generations.

You and your aunt Ines even paid respects at the memorial site of your ancestors as well as bringing flowers to your mum and grandmother's grave sites. You smiled as you remembered the last dream you had.

All those evil phantoms of ancestral spirits turned into light. All those family members that the Oracle took by force just because your great-great-great grandfather, in his ignorance, brought the wrath of the Oracle's curse into your family lineage, cursing every second-generation woman to bear the brunt of this curse. You could now fully understand why the women in your family chose love and happiness above serving the objectives of the Oracle. Love will never fail. Love liberates, and love is selfless.

Like your ancestoral strong and powerful women-your predecessors, your grandmom, your great-great grandmother- chose life and love even if it cost them their lives, the lives of their spouses, children, or family members; you also chose love.

The dark phantoms in your dreams were overflowing with brightness and with wide rosy smiles, waving happily at you filling your very being with warmth. As if they were telling you to live life and enjoy your soulbondfrom now on.

As the two of you strolled, you smiled softly, looking up at Yeonjun, who looked so healthy. He can at least move his arm, as his agency gave him a few days off to recover from the trauma.

"I got a cool offer," you said, your voice light and cheery. "JYP-Dahyun and Chaeyoungs' idol agency-offered me an idol contract with their trainee modelling division. I've even landed a Chilsung soft drink commercial that is coming up soon." light filled your eyes as you gave him a happy dimpled smile.

Yeonjun halted in his steps, eyes wide with awe as he pulled you into a tight embrace, "Oh, darling, I'm so proud of you; you came such a long way. You deserved all the happiness in the world," he whispered into your loose nutbrown hair, holding you as if he never wanted to let go of you.

You sighed happily and pleased into his chest, your heart finally feeling at peace, "Oh Yeon, all those horrid nightmares are gone for good," you confessed softly. "The vengeful Oracle... it's appeased now. But what's so weird or strange is that I still seem to have my Seer's gift. Those horrifying visions of family or friends-they're finally gone-finally."

Yeonjun looked down at you, his eyes soft with deep affection and relief, "Lun, it's finally over," he murmurs, cupping your soft cheek and brushing a thumb over your soft skin, "We can finally exhale and enjoy our bond."

You smiled when he leant down, his soft lips brushing tenderly over yours as you kissed each with so much passion and fervour, cementing your bond further-your hearts pounding in sync as you clinged onto each other.

Far away, unseen by any mortal eyes, a faint reddish breeze carried with it a soft whisper. The Oracle's mysterious smirk lingered, content.

For now...
