In the deepest part of the eternal dream

with a blue secret asleep

As you succumbed to the heat of the moment, the air around you and Yeonjun became thick. It was as if you had been teleported to another universe where only the two of you existed.

Both of your hearts were thumping erratically in sync as Yeonjun cupped your face in his firm hands and kissed you with all of his secret desires he has for you.

Logic and common sense were non-existent at the time. As he drew you closer to deepen the fiery kiss, his hands found their way to the back of your head, pulling you in deepening the kiss.

You could feel shivers and tremors down your spine, but you were enjoying every minute in his arms. Time seemed to stand still for you both.

Nothing could stop you as your arms pulled him as close to you as possible, kissing him back with ferocity. He was like your oxygen...an oasis in a dry desert...the moment he became yours, you both realized that something strange and mysterious was at work.

After a few minutes of bliss.Yeonjun's swollen lips slowly lift from your half-open mouth. Your breath mingled as you stared silently into each other's eyes...shocked to the core. Reality started to speak.

The hallway and the area behind a secluded stairwell were quiet and empty, and you stood in each other's arms, breathing heavily.

"W...what just happened?" Yeonjun stammer it out, his brow furrowed in utter confusion.

He eased out of your embrace, and you noticed how his flushed face paled visibly as he realized what had just transpired. You couldn't say anything. How can you explain to him that he purely succumbed to the oracle's allure by falling victim to the strong attraction he felt for you?

Yeonjun closed his eyes and took a deep breath he opened his eyes and stared at you, deep guilt and shock flashed through his eyes.

Your heart began to constrict painfully as you realized you meant nothing...this meant nothing to him.

You bit your lower lip nervously as you looked up into his wary, moist eyes "Whatever happened between us, Yeonjun, was unexpected. I'm speechless and I have no idea what happened." Your mouth was trembling.

Yeonjun wiped his brow with his hands and exhaled deeply "Can we...just forget about what happened today? Luna, please. I'm not sure how I ended up kissing you in that way--it was a huge mistake."

You smile, but pain flashes through your already frail heart as you lift your hand and gently touch his chest, causing him to catch his breath at your tender touch "--Don't be troubled because nobody will ever know. To avoid any possible misunderstanding, I'll stay out of your way starting today. I know you don't like me like that- "You turn and grab your bag from the ground with a small sob, but Yeonjun grabs your upper arm with regret, holding you back.

You don't want to look at him because tears are welling up in your eyes.

"Luna...I'm sorry for leading you on...please forgive me," Yeonjun gulped."--You are a great girl...but I'm...I'm in love with Yeji," he said, his eyes conflicted.

His eyes were brimming with emotion. How can he explain why he initiated the kiss? He had just cheated on Yeji, and the feelings of shame and regret threatened to overwhelm him. Luna does not deserve what he is doing to her right now.

Yeonjun couldn't bear your sudden dejection and deep sadness as he tried to reject you without being cruel. He felt as if he had been infused with your emotions, which mystified him greatly.

You pursed your lips and raised your face to meet his misty eyed gaze. Knowing that he made it easier for you to choose your fate. Your soulmate has already and unknowingly rejected you. You simply couldn't stand the agony. Is this what the Oracle wants -- for you to feel euphoric love while also being stung by it?

Yeonjun winced as he noticed your wet eyes," Luna?" he softly asked, "Luna, please...look at me?"

You simply shook your head and gulped painstakingly "It's all right, Yeonjun. It takes two to tango, and I apologize for kissing you back. I...I know you like Yeji and that you date her -- "You just winced as you strangled it out, shook your head one last time, and ran down the stairs to get away from the treacherous feelings you developed for Yeonjun...your destined soulmate.

Yeonjun groaned in frustration as he slammed his fist against the smooth wall. Why is he suddenly feeling a great emptiness...a sudden loss? Like someone he cared about had just died.

He can't deny his attraction to this pretty odd girl and kissing her left him wanting more.

When you arrived at the waiting car, you made certain that your eyes were dry and that no one could see your red-rimmed eyes. You're glad you had an extra pair of glasses to cover up your red eyes.

Fortunately, your driver didn't notice your glum demeanor. You simply lay back with your head on the headrest and closed your eyes, reminiscing about the moment in your crush's arms.

Your heart was pounding so loudly that you swear your driver could hear it. Kissing Yeonjun felt like a fantasy. It will be your last chance to be so close to him. That will be your only memory of the upcoming lonely and empty years. Your eyes welled up once more as you considered your fate. You wiped your eyes with a gentle sniff.

Why is your life so complicated? Are you fated to be a seer spinster, giving prophecies to hopeful people whose fate will be written in your words? Oh, you already despise it. The seers in your family all chose love, but the cost of sacrifice was so high. Will you be able to live with yourself if your family dies in front of your eyes? How would you feel if Sammy, your grandmother, and your father--Yeonjun died before you?

When you got home, you were surprised to see a strange car in your garage. As you entered your home, you were taken aback by the surprise visitors.

"Appa!" you said with a wide smile on your lips."...Tia (Aunty)..."

You dashed up to your father first, who embraced you in his loving arms.

"My baby...Appa is here-" he smiles lovingly down at you.

"Appa, I'm delighted. Thank you for keeping safe--I'm terrified of losing you-"your soft murmur against his embrace. You feel the vibration of his chest and realize that your fears are somewhat amusing and unfounded. Nobody died in your generation, which can be a blessing.

"mi niรฑa hermosa,my beautiful girl. Take a look at yourself." She grinned as she hugged you even tighter.Pulled you away from her and drew you back and hugged you once more.

"Tia is here...we're going to defeat that vengeful spirit,"

You just grinned with gratitude, hoping that the visitation of your aunt will bring hope.

You were ecstatic to see your father. Sammy was taken to the Entertainment company for his weekly training classes. Your grandmother smiles at your happy expression. She is overjoyed that your aunt could come and bring light to the curse that has befallen her grandniece.

You couldn't help but smile when you saw your father so happy and content back on Korean soil. Your grandmother prepared a lavish Korean feast to welcome your father and great-aunt Ines back. She is a forceful and short woman with the same features as your late grandmother and a wide, bright smile. You adore your aunt.

The other family in Mexico avoids your side of the family like you're a plague. That is why your father relocated to a different city in Mexico. From your family's accusing and judgmental eyes and attitude. They believe the curse will be transferred down to their children.

Aunt Ines has dedicated her life to uncovering a cure for this curse. She researched shamans, spells, and potions from various continents. She couldn't sit back and watch her sister struggle her entire life, seeing bad omens everywhere and losing the people she cared about the most.

How can she stand by and watch her young niece suffer for years? Luna never had a day of pure joy when the Oracle failed to appear.

You had a wonderful lunch with your family, catching up with what's going on in Tijuana, the city from which you came. Your great aunt seemed delighted to see you, and you hope she brought you good news.

---preferable to make Yeonjun forget about your curse and your enchantment.

A/n Another special update for MOA's. I hope you still enjoy Luna's quest to conquer the Oracles curse. Thank you to everyone who reads, votes, and comments and even those who add the book to their readers'list.

1. Will Luna be able to avoid Yeonjun after their encounter or vice versa?

2. Why do you think the Oracle started to interfere with the Soulmate system?
