This book is a love of the rose and sleeping beauty, for I want it to be so beautiful it makes you ache; prick your finger; bleed. I want you to be confused on where the line draws between reality and dreams. It's a love of secrets and roses, and of the bittersweet ambivalence they so effortlessly whisper. I want you to long; to be haunted by it. To have something in the end.

Hi, I'm so so happy you're here! You have no idea how much this means to me—that you have taken your time to read my book?!?

Firstly, I just wanted to say; this is not a light topic or easy read. If you've come here to scrutinize, please take a step back and listen, think; try to understand. It is not supposed to be a light read or easy topic; it's heart wrenching, confusing and bitter. You may love it or hate it, but please; don't say, do or feel anything until you've read all that this book has to give.

Love is difficult, complicated, irrevocable, unconditional, unreasonable and insane in every single raw heart wrenching way.

This is also my first book ever written, and while I'm so excited to finally publish this, since it's literally been in the works since 2020 (yea, I know. A long time ago but it looked a lot different back then and I've changed literally everything lol, and even though I didn't start fully writing until this year 2024, the idea still started back then), I'm also so so scared.

English is not my first language, and while I've tried my very best, imperfections are inevitable. My writing isn't perfect. I'm not perfect. I just hope that you'll be able to understand and enjoy it either way!

So if you've come here to criticize, please kindly leave. I'm a sensitive girl and while constructive criticism and kind correction of grammar is appreciated outright hate is not okay, in any way. I understand you are entitled to an opinion but there's a difference between that and being straight up rude or hating; —just please, be kind.

Some things may be inspired by real things and places. And, while it has some inspirations from things, as well as the underlying whispers of the story of sleeping beauty and classic fairytales, this book is a work of fiction completely written by me.

Names, characters, places, events and incidents are either the products of my imagination or used in a fictitious manner. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events is purely coincidental.

Again; everything written is completely fictional, original characters, imaginary, a work of fiction, and is solely written by me. All words and ideas are my own inspirational viewings and of my own imagination and thoughts.

I tend to write very flowery, lyrical even, almost too much sometimes. So I apologize in advance, if it's too much, or you don't understand something, just bear with me! It gets better with time and sometimes it just takes a couple of pages or thinking to understand. It's also kind of a mystery in a way, but everything will be revealed and understood with time. If you're confused—just read it!:)

I promise you will understand everything in the end!

Again, this is obviously a sensitive topic, and I will put some trigger warnings at the end of this chapter. But read with tender care; responsibly. Because I do recommend, for the art of the book; to go into this book completely blind.
