Chapter 15 - Flashback Special #1
The Original Who Loved Me:
Part 1
New Orleans, May 1890:
"I'm not lying, sister." Kol smugly taunts as he and Rebekah walk into the courtyard, "I guarantee you that Miss Richardson will be accepting my offer to join us at the exhibit this afternoon."
Rebekah rolls her eyes, "I wonder, brother, does she need spectacles? It's bizarre that a lovely woman like Samantha Richardson would want to spend time with a rake such as yourself."
Kol stops in his step, his brows furrow with confusion as he glances towards his sister, "Did I just hear that right? A rake? What on earth—"
Rebekah begins to dissolve from the rantings of her brother as she notices Klaus sitting in the corner of the courtyard with a book in his hand, however not even paying one bit of attention to the book. Rebekah follows his gaze towards the entrance of their compound home, she smiles to herself realising what or whom Klaus is waiting upon.
"Sister, are you ignoring me?"
Kol taps Rebekah on the shoulder, pulling her out of her thoughts. He pauses when he also notices his elder brother's new found fascination with watching who enters the compound.
A hint of a mischievous grin appears at the corner of Kol's mouth as he sits beside Klaus, "What could possibly be more interesting than..." Kol moves the book in Klaus' hand slightly, his face twists with disgust, "Oh, never mind. I concur, even watching Mrs Hughes change the candles around our home is more interesting than Arthur Conan Doyle."
"Don't you have something else more interesting to do other than lingering around here, Kol?" Klaus hisses, not bothering to look away from the door, "I have no doubt in my mind that this book would be more interesting if perhaps it found home across your face."
Kol lets out an amused laugh as he leans back on the sofa where he sits beside Klaus, "I often found it amusing when you would mock those who are..." He frowns in thought before looking towards Rebekah, "What does he say again, sister?"
Kol hastily comes to a stand, wearing a smug grin, "Oh, I remember now. Love sick fools!"
"Might we be done?" Klaus angrily snaps, harshly closing the book before standing beside Kol, "Say another word, Kol and I will not hesitate to—"
"Lola!"
Klaus' annoyed glare towards his brother vanishes within seconds when he hears his sister call out for Miss Charlotte Salvatore, who has resided with the Mikaelson family for almost three years now, someone the entire family quickly classed as family. Klaus feared that his bold statement where he confidently stated he'd be her last love — only a mere one month into becoming acquaintances — may have pushed Lola further away. It took more time than he would have favoured however, but eventually a close friendship began to blossom between the two.
The true purpose of sitting in the courtyard this morning was not just to pretend reading Arthur Conan Doyle. Klaus knew most mornings, Lola would leave the home at dawn and ride through the wooded areas around town on her beloved horse, Beau. This morning being one of those exceptions, Klaus decided to loiter around the courtyard, wanting to be able to ask Lola the question on whether or not she would wish to attend the art exhibit together. However, much to his despair, his sister had already grabbed Lola's attention first.
"I do hope you found your morning ride with Beau enjoyable." Rebekah teases, immediately threading her arm through Lola's, "I did try to save you some breakfast..."
Lola glances over Rebekah's shoulder to see several servants walking through the courtyard, carrying what seemed to be a body wrapped in an ivory sheet, a patch of crimson blood already seeping through. A stifled laugh escapes Lola as Rebekah guides her towards a table within the corner of the courtyard, "I'm sure you did. But to answer your question, it was rather enjoyable. Although, I did hope to spend more time to—" Lola's soft stare meets Klaus' from the opposite side of the corner, she clears her throat and looks away when she feels heat rushing to her cheeks, "—clear my head and yet it was interrupted by a rather presumptuous stranger."
"Don't stop there, Lola." Rebekah's eyes gleam with interest, "What was this gentleman like?"
A faint smirk hints at the corner of Lola's lips, narrows her eyes towards Rebekah, "Who said it was a gentleman?"
"That little smile that's appeared on your face tells me I was correct."
"Miss Salvatore," Lola's lady's maid, Annabelle, walks over to the pair wearing a polite smile, "The bath has been drawn. It's time to get ready for the exhibit this afternoon."
"It appears you are my saviour today, Annabelle." Lola stands beside the maid, smiling down at Rebekah, "Should you have came a moment later I'd have been interrogated by Rebekah."
Rebekah stays seated as she watched Lola walk up the stairs with Annabelle two steps behind. She scoffs softly, "That doesn't mean you won't get an interrogation later on today!"
Lola leans over the balcony above the courtyard slightly, her smile beams down towards her best friend, "I am positively ecstatic for that, Rebekah."
Rebekah rolls her eyes, "I thought we came to an agreement you'd stop mocking my accent!"
Klaus' gaze hasn't left Lola as he watches her walk towards her room to get ready for the exhibit. As the door closes, Kol begins to laugh causing him receiving a deathly glare from Klaus, "Something amusing, brother?"
Kol shakes his head but still continues to laugh, "You really have become a love sick fool, haven't you?"
"Oh, shut up." Klaus forcefully hits Kol against the jaw, with such force he breaks his neck. Klaus looks unfazed as Kol's unconscious body hits against the concrete floor until Rebekah clears her throat making Klaus scoff, "Go ahead, tell Elijah. I couldn't care less, Rebekah."
Rebekah stays in the same place as a clearly agitated Klaus begins to storm past her. Her tone is calm, "Why don't you just tell her?"
Klaus stops as he stands beside Rebekah, showing no emotion, "I have no idea what you are talking about."
Rebekah lowers her head, releasing a soft sigh as Klaus walks further away and starts heading up the same set of stairs as Lola. Rebekah turns to face him, matching the same expressionless face, "Yes you do, Nik. You have some sort of infatuation with Lola." Klaus stops half way up the stairs, refusing to look down at Rebekah as she continues, "You cannot keep hiding your feelings because one day it may be too late."
—✤—
"You seem engrossed in that particular piece, Elijah."
Elijah smiles when he hears Lola's voice approach him, not moving his stare from the large canvas in front of him, "It's rather dull, don't you agree? It's much too cold. Where's any sense of the subject's spirit?"
Lola clears her throat as she tries to hold back laughter, "I didn't realise there was more than one art critic within the Mikaelson family."
"It's hard not to be when there are pieces of art almost bringing the rest of them down. It makes one wonder if this artist favours doing their work in the dark."
Lola shrugs lightly, "Perhaps we should ask the artist."
Elijah nods in agreement, a faint smirk appears, "I quite agree, Charlotte. That would be something."
Lola lowers her head slightly, her lips form a thin line as she continues trying to hold back laughter as she steps back, "Mr Bolton," Elijah's eyes widen slightly as he turns to see a man standing beside Lola, not looking impressed as Lola continues, "Were you in fact painting this in the dark?"
"Mr Bolton, I—"
Mr Bolton raises his hand up, stopping Elijah from saying anything else as he smiles slightly, "If you'll excuse me, I must go find my wife."
Elijah watches as the man walks away when Lola places her hand over her mouth to muffle her laughter. Elijah looks over to Lola, shocked, "You really are a little minx, Charlotte. How could you let me rattle on like that?"
"You went straight into mocking the piece before I even had the chance to stop you." Lola continues to laugh as she takes a glass of champagne from a waiter, "Even if you hadn't, I would not have stopped you. That was the highlight of the day so far."
Elijah continues with the flabbergasted stare towards Lola before he begins to laugh, shaking his head and now looks towards a different piece of art, "Has anything in this exhibit caught your eye, Charlotte?"
Unknown to Elijah, Lola eyes scan around the room looking for a particular Mikaelson. A hint of a smile appears when she sees Klaus standing in the corner of the hall, "One or two things have, yes. Excuse me."
Lola continues to walk around the hall as she looks at all the art that is being displayed. That's until someone bumps into the side of her. Lola's jaw tightens, immediately annoyed at whomever may have crashed into her, however her annoyed stance turns into a startled one at the man before her, "You."
The man before her, revealed to be Thomas Wetherby, the same gentleman that Lola crossed paths with earlier this morning on her horse ride. He smiles over to her, "We must stop bumping into each other."
"Stalking women on horse rides wasn't enough to be on your agenda for today I assume." Lola steps back slightly, narrowing her glare towards him, "Now you're stalking me during events also."
An inquisitive grin appears as Thomas chuckles, "What makes you think I've stalked you here? Perhaps, you are the stalking kind in this situation. After all, you know my name and I still have yet to learn yours."
"I think it's best we keep it that way." Lola clears her throat as she begins to step away from him, "If you'll excuse me."
"Lottie!" Kol's booming voice makes Lola stop in her pace, she closes her eyes for a moment and takes a deep breath before turning around to see a beaming smile set on Kol's face as he approaches her, "I see you've both been introduced already."
Lola raises a brow as she glances between Kol and Thomas, "I'm not following."
Kol smiles as he wraps his arm around Lola, guiding her back towards Thomas, "Lola Salvatore, I'd like you to meet-"
"Thomas Wetherby." Lola finishes his sentence, "We've met."
Kol frowns at the sudden hostility in Lola's stance and tone, "Well, then. There was a reason I thought you both may have wanted to be introduced..."
Lola completely zones out of the conversation as Kol continues when she looks over his shoulder to see Klaus walking towards a different room of the exhibit. Curiosity grows, wanting to be closer to him, wanting to have a moment where it's just the two of them even if it's only for a short while. There has been something deep inside Lola, something she has felt towards the original but her stubbornness and quite frankly, her fear has kept her admiring from a distance. After all, it's only been a few short years since the heartbreak of her first love, Dominic, leaving her without any explanation whatsoever. She was in fear that she would get hurt all over again if she lets someone in, it's as though it's a curse she feels deep within that whomever she may become close to will leave her.
"Lottie." Kol shaking Lola's arm slightly makes her jump out of her thoughts, she glances over to Kol who is looking perplexed, "Are you feeling all right, Lottie?"
"Yes, I'm fine." Lola hands her now empty glass of champagne towards Kol, "Excuse me."
A part of Lola was pleased when she walked into the separate room of the exhibit to find Klaus alone, looking around all the pieces of art. She watched for a moment, his stiff posture that has became the norm was no where to be found, his shoulders were lowered, his breathing was at a normal pace. His eyes were soft, his entire face seemed relaxed.
A mischievous grin appears as Lola steps further into the room, "What are you doing, hiding away in here?"
"Enjoying some culture." Klaus' eyes lighten as he looks towards Lola who is now standing beside him, he wears a playful grin, "The art in here is much more interesting."
"I don't know much about art."
The pair lock eyes as Klaus laughs, "I don't believe that for a second. I never pegged you for a liar."
"Well, I certainly don't know much compared to yourself." Lola turns in her spot, facing the artwork on the opposite wall, "You are the art genius after all."
A faint smile appears as Klaus looks down at the ground, "That being said, there are times where it would be refreshing to hear someone else's view." He glances to where Lola is standing, still wearing the same faint smile. He steps backwards, holding his arms out and looks around the room, "There are at least twenty pieces in here, there must be one that catches your eye. It's often said that the one you are drawn to is the one you relate to the most." He smirks, putting his arms around his back, "Indulge me, find that one piece that speaks to you."
Klaus watches as Lola's narrowed stare scans around the room, until her eyes soften finding a landscape piece, "This one is very beautiful." Lola smiles towards the piece, "It makes me think of where I grew up. It looks similar to the view I'd enjoy the most, every morning before anyone else was awake. When I'm all alone and I've not yet spoken to anyone. I look outside my window and it's...serene. It's as if I could be the only person left in the world, and yet somehow I'm not lonely. I'm comforted, at peace."
It's as though Klaus is in a trance as he listens to Lola speak, the softness of her voice sounding like the sound of a siren, drawing him closer and closer to her. As he glances over to her, he gets a strong scent of jasmine, he breathes it in, having to close his eyes for a moment due to the intoxicating smell from Lola's skin.
Lola clears her throat, thinking the silence between the pair may be that she has overshared, "All the other pieces of art in here are certainly impressive and very extravagant, but this one...this one is intimate."
"I couldn't have described it better myself." Klaus practically whispers, his gaze not leaving Lola. He feels a dryness form in his throat as Lola's gaze meets his own. He swallows harshly before shifting in his spot slightly, "Perhaps, you are also an art genius."
"That's broadening my talents a lot wider than they actually are." Lola laughs breathlessly, looking away from Klaus and back towards the landscape piece, "The skill of painting itself does fascinate me, although I feel as if I attempted something all the colours would merge into one displeasing blob."
"You speak of yourself too little, Lola. However, if the thought of art continues to fascinate you, I'd happily give you a helping hand."
"I'd like that."
Without meaning to, their hands graze against each other. The feeling of almost electricity runs through them at the small touch of skin. Both of them feeling their hearts slamming an adrenaline fuelled rhythm against their ribcages.
Klaus exhales deeply before he fully turns his attention towards Lola, "There has been something I've been meaning to speak to you about. I—"
Klaus gets interrupted when the door between the room they're in and the main hall is opened to reveal Rebekah, "Ah, Lola! There you are." Without giving Lola a chance to respond to either Klaus or herself, Rebekah takes hold of Lola's hand and guides her out of the room, "Can I speak with you for a moment?"
Lola turns back to see Klaus, she laughs awkwardly, "Hold that thought."
As Rebekah guides Lola out of the room, Kol loiters at the doorway with a smirk, "Good luck, Lottie."
Lola pulls away from Rebekah as she guides Lola into a separate room, "If you keep pulling my arm with that much force it's going to pop right out of it's socket. What's going on?"
Rebekah walks over to the door, closing it with haste before flashing an up to no good smirk towards Lola, "Why did you never tell me the gentleman you bumped into this morning was part of the Wetherby family?"
Lola scoffs as she shrugs, "Is that suppose to have meaning?"
"The Wetherby family were from this town before we had even called it home." Rebekah explains, excitement seeped into her tone, "A few years after we came here, they all fled. There was some kind of family drama happening elsewhere."
Lola raises a brow as Rebekah's excitement continues to build and yet she remains as clueless as before, "I'm still waiting for why this is such a big deal, Rebekah."
"Mr Thomas Wetherby is the last remaining one, turned into a vampire a few years before yourself. But there is another thing, the Wetherby's are witches." Lola shows no expression whatsoever as Rebekah's information making Rebekah roll her eyes, "Lola, must I spell everything out for you. It's as though it was fate you both met this morning, you're so similar."
Lola can't help but laugh at her friend, "Have you turned into a matchmaker now?"
Rebekah shrugs as she threads her arm through Lola's and they walk back towards the door leading to the hall, "Is it wrong that I want my best friend to be happy? He is handsome, is he not?"
As they both walk back into the large hall, they can see Thomas standing in the corner around a sea of women who are practically swooning at his feet that makes Lola scoff, "I think your opinion on that man is entirely too high, Rebekah. It seems as though his character is as deficient as his horsemanship."
Lola breaks away from Rebekah and begins to walk towards the room she was in with Klaus a mere moment prior. She smiles to herself, fixing her dress as she walks towards the door slightly ajar a few inches but stops when she hears Klaus speak. His tone is polar opposite to earlier, no longer calm but instead aggressive and heated,
"What is it you want me to say, Kol? That I feel something towards Lola? Because I don't. I don't know how many more times I have to say this to you all. Nothing is going on between Lola and I, and nothing ever will. Love is a vampire's greatest weakness and I'll not subdue to that sort of torture. If anything she would only be a means of distraction, nothing more."
Lola swallows harshly, as though she is swallowing acid; internally scowling herself for lowering her guard when it came to Klaus Mikaelson. Why on earth would an original such as himself ever fall for a diluted bloodline of a meaningless vampire. She felt like a fool. Her annoyed and betrayed stance changes within seconds, now cold as the large walls build up inside her once more.
Lola's eyes find the exit for the exhibit, not wanting to stay any longer she heads straight towards it until a hand grabs her own, "Miss Salvatore." Lola turns to see Thomas standing behind her, his hand still gripped onto hers, "I think we got off on the wrong foot, allow me to apologise."
Lola flashes a polite smile, removing her hand from his, "There is no reason you need to apologise."
"I believe there is." He protests, "Perhaps we could start fresh because if I left it this way, I'd never forgive myself for displeasing the woman who is more beautiful than all of the art in this room put together."
Lola can't help but laugh, shaking her head, "Flattery isn't going to get you anywhere, Mr Wetherby."
A charming smile graces him as he steps closer to her, "That seems like an intriguing challenge."

New Orleans, July 1890:
"You've been bested once again, brother." Klaus smugly admits as he gestures for Kol to leave the field where all the brother's are fencing on a warm summer's day, "Elijah, come forth."
Kol scoffs as he sits on a bench at the side, "Who'd have thought it was possible for your ego to grow larger than it already was."
"I don't believe it's ego, Kol." Elijah taunts as he stands opposite Klaus, they both raise their fencing swords up as Elijah smirks towards Kol, "I believe our brother is in need of a distraction."
"You exaggerate." Klaus snaps as he harshly begins to fence against Elijah, "I don't need any sort of distraction."
"Yes, I'm sure this has nothing to do with the sudden hostility that's became between yourself and Lottie." Kol grunts, "You do realise it is possible for at least one woman to not subdue to your revolting charm."
Klaus stops, he turns to his face, his expression full of annoyance and frustration, "This has nothing at all to do with Lola."
Elijah chuckles at his younger brother's quarrel, "What on earth happened between you both at the art exhibit because it appears since then Lola has devised a dagger that silences you with just a glare."
"She pompous, and arrogant and quite sure she knows the best in every situation." Klaus seethes as he begins to fence against Elijah once more, "It's infuriating."
"That sounds positively poetic, brother." Kol teases, "Especially since you are the one who knows best in every situation, right?"
Klaus ignores Kol's taunts as he continues to fence Elijah, he hits the sword out of Elijah's grip defeating him. Klaus glares over to Kol, "Less talking, more fencing."
Elijah pats Kol's shoulder as he walks past him. Kol scoffs as he stands beside Klaus yet again, "I also suppose this has nothing at all to do with her new found friendship with a Mr Thomas Wetherby." Klaus' aggression as he fences Kol grows even further making Kol step back slightly, looking towards Elijah, "Is this still a friendly game of fencing or shall we fetch some armour?"
"I've never even spoken to the man," Klaus spits with hatred, "Why should a worthless nobody bother me? Because it does not."
Klaus' mind goes straight towards Lola, a burning pit of jealously swirls around inside of him at the thought of her spending time with a man who isn't him. For the last two months, thoughts have been clouding his mind, dissecting everything that has happened since the exhibit, trying to think on why there is sudden hostility between himself and Lola.
The brief distraction causes Kol to gain a win in fencing, "I've broke your winning streak, Niklaus." Kol throws his fencing sword to the floor, "If we don't make haste and get prepared for the garden party this afternoon you do realise we'll never hear the end of it off Rebekah."
—✤—
Two open roof carriages take the Mikaelson family and Lola to the Governor's home for his annual summer's garden extravaganza. Klaus scoffs, slumping down in his seat, already growing vastly impatient at the queue of horse drawn carriages leading towards the planation home.
A small ounce of his annoyance disperses as he hears Lola's infectious laugh from the carriage in front where she is sat with Kol and Elijah who both laugh along with her. Rebekah picking up on Klaus' gawk, she kicks his shin, "Something on your mind, brother?"
Klaus straightens up his posture as the carriages begin to move further up, he glances between Rebekah and Marcel in his carriage, "There's nothing on my mind."
Both of their carriages are next that pull up in front of the plantation home where Thomas is already standing waiting beside Lola's carriage. She blushes slightly as he opens the door for her, holding his hand out to take, "Miss Salvatore, you look exquisite."
Lola smiles politely at the man, "Thank you."
Klaus is already standing at the side of his carriage, if looks could kill then Thomas would certainly be six feet under by now. Rebekah stands beside him, smiling over to them, "What a handsome couple they make."
Klaus shakes his mind out of his dark thoughts where he imagines the torture he'd like to show towards the man, "What?"
"Lola and Mr Wetherby, of course." Rebekah deadpans, the brother and sister duo watch as Lola threads her arm through Thomas' and walk towards the gardens, "I've noticed he's been positively smitten ever since the art exhibit."
Klaus scoffs as he begins to follow the crowd, "She barely knows the man."
Rebekah shrugs as she steps one ahead of Klaus, "Love moves swiftly."
—✤—
"You've already proven you know your horses better than I," Thomas teases Lola as the walk further into the planation grounds. His eyes gleam with mischief as he grabs a croquet mallet, "Perhaps this may be something I'll be better at."
Marcel chuckles as he stands behind the couple with Kol, "You have yet to learn how competitive Lola can be. It was only four months ago I found myself at the end of Lola's mallet because I beat her at this game."
Lola playfully scowls over to Marcel, "That was only because you cheated, and you know you did."
"Well, then," Klaus' booming voice comes towards the group, he smiles smugly, "A rematch should be in order then, don't you agree?" Klaus takes the remaining two mallets, closing the gap between him and Lola and passes one of them over to her, "Last time I wasn't there, so maybe it will be I that will be victorious this time round."
Lola scoffs, pushing past Klaus, "Not if I can help it."
Lola, Klaus, Marcel, Kol and Thomas all begin to play croquet. The game starts off with ease at first, until eventually it just leaves Lola, Klaus and Thomas still in the game. Kol watches on amused at the trio, Lola who continues to glare towards Klaus whenever he succeeds and Klaus doing the same towards Thomas who remains oblivious to the tension between both Lola and Klaus.
Klaus looks over to Thomas who is distracted for a moment, speaking with Kol. Giving Klaus the opportunity to stand beside Lola, "I've never seen you get so worked up over a simple game of croquet before."
Lola exhales deeply through her nostrils as she straightens up her posture, her glare meets Klaus' smug expression. She gestures at Klaus who is blocking her path to hit her croquet ball, "Get out of my way."
Klaus chuckles, raising his hands up in surrender as he backs away, feeling smug he's getting to Lola. Lola looks over her shoulder to see Thomas still engrossed in his conversation with Kol, giving her the opportunity to gain an upper hand. She turns her back on Klaus as she aims her mallet towards her ball that is practically touching Klaus'. With force, she hits her ball which causes Klaus' to fly into the midst of the woods on the outskirts of the grounds.
Klaus glances between the woods and a cocky looking Lola with his mouth agape, "You did that on purpose." Lola purses her lips as she shrugs. Klaus' jaw tightens before a hint of a smirk appears, "Two can play at that game, love."
Without any hesitation, Klaus hits Lola's croquet ball deep into the woods just like she done to his. Lola glares over to him, "That's cheating."
Klaus raises an amused brow towards her, "And your previous action was not?"
Thomas chuckles as he approaches the pair again, noticing it's just his ball remaining, "Oh, does this mean I have bested you both?"
Both Lola and Klaus' heads whip in Thomas' direction, both shout, "No!"
Lola pauses for a moment, realising her aggressive tone. She glances over to Klaus before smiling over to Thomas, clearing her throat, "The game is not over yet."
Thomas smiles and nods, he gestures towards the wooded area, "Well then, you both best make haste in fetching your balls to stay within the game."
Klaus leans against his mallet, he tilts his head towards the woods then back to Lola, "After you."
Klaus follows Lola as they both venture within the woods to retrieve the croquet balls, "I suppose this was your plan all along."
Lola rolls her eyes, "What are you talking about?"
Lola pushes a large branch to the side as she steps further into the woods, but then allowing the branch to hit Klaus in the face behind her. He scoffs as he then pushes the same branch back, "Bringing that insolent sod today in the hopes of making me jealous, to then play this game and hitting my ball into the woods so we'd be alone."
Lola stops walking, she turns to face Klaus, looking amused, "Did Klaus Mikaelson just admit that he's jealous?"
Klaus purses his lips as he shakes his head, "I never said I was, I just merely said that it was your plan. I never said whether you succeeded in the plan or not." Lola scoffs as she continues to walk, Klaus follows her, "We both know that the only purpose of you speaking to that man is to try and get a rise from me. It's part of your game."
"I can assure you, Klaus, I'm not part of any game right now other than croquet."
Lola spots her pale blue coloured croquet ball, she steps closer towards it but Klaus vamp speeds and beats her to it. He takes hold of it, holding out to Lola as he smirks, "You're covering our connection with hostility."
Lola's brows furrow as she scoffs, "We don't have a connection."
She attempts to snatch the ball out of Klaus' hold and yet as their hands touch, their entire bodies freeze. Both feeling a rush of heat swirl around them, neither wanting to remove their hand from the other.
Klaus exhales sharply, "Then what do you call this?"
Lola's face remains cold, looking down at Klaus' hand against hers, "Let go of my hand."
Klaus smirks, closing the gap between them both. Lola inhales his intoxicating scent, goosebumps form down her spine as she feels his breath against her skin. Klaus' thumb grazes across her hand, "You let go of mine."
Lola clears her throat as she snatches her hand out of his hold. She steps back slightly, "I'm done playing croquet, you can continue but it's boring me now."
Klaus grins as he watches Lola begin to walk back towards the gardens until he vamp speeds in front of her yet again, blocking her path. She gasps slightly, stepping back before glaring over to him. Klaus steps closer, his eyes gleam with mischief "You're admitting defeat? I suppose it will now be may the best man win."
Lola hums in an irritated way, before flashing an announce grimace. She raises the hem of her dress up slightly before harshly kicking Klaus against his shin making him groan out in pain, "Break a leg."
She pushes past Klaus who's breathing becomes heavy yet can't help but laugh maliciously towards her actions, knowing he is getting to her, "I think I just did."
There could never have been two hearts so open, no tastes so similar, no feelings so in unison, no countenances so beloved. Now it was as though they were strangers, in fact, worse than strangers. It seemed as though the pair would never become acquainted again, the hostility created between the pair made them estranged.
