(-) He sometimes comes across as a coward because he's no longer willing to risk going against the Upper City after what happened in the past.

(-) His emotions often cloud his judgment. Of course, he'd never admit it. 

(+) Pierce is a good leader! He knows he doesn't have all the answers and is willing to let others share their opinion. He tries to make everyone feel equal and not just tossed aside or ignored.

𝘽𝘼𝘾𝙆𝙎𝙏𝙊𝙍𝙔:

Pierce grew up loved, but hidden. His parents worked in the Upper City and didn't want to be banished to the Under City because of his powers. He learned to keep his head down, which resulted in him having few friends. But that soon changed when he met Lara, the two of them connected over feeling like they didn't belong, and their close friendship grew into something more.

But Pierce's past isn't all happy. His parents were killed by a mutant hunter when he was sixteen, something he still has never forgotten. It was after their deaths that he discovered his powers, he could speak to the dead. It was both a blessing and a curse, he still hears his parents all the time in his head like an old record constantly playing. To escape the hunters, he and Lara run away together to the Under City. It wasn't what they were used to, but the two of them created The Tribute, a bar, and refuge for mutants, no questions asked.

But Pierce still wanted revenge. He and other mutants, who were sick of scrambling for coins while the people of the Upper City lived in luxury, rose up and attacked. It ended in a massacre. They were outnumbered and slaughtered. Lara and so many of his friends' lives were lost, along with the hope that things could ever change.

Now, history is repeating itself, and he tries to stop others from making the same mistake he did.
