THE OPEN SCERET

As they rushed downstairs, they noticed apart from Yu Xuan there was another person who was also moving into their residence.

"Hey, looks like we've got a new neighbour_____" Yi Jin said, nodding towards the moving truck as they walked out of the building.

Yi Chen's eyes sparkled with curiosity. "I think it's a girl, just look at all those luggage bags!" she exclaimed, her voice full of excitement.

As they approached the truck from the left side, the new tenant emerged from the backside and it was Ming Tao, approaching the truck from the right. But Yi Chen and Yi Jin were too focused on collecting Yu Xuan's belongings to notice him.

Yu Xuan was busy with the paperwork, oblivious to the presence of the Ming Tao there. While Yi Chen and Yi Jin were busy chatting with each other as they worked.

As they finished collecting Yu Xuan's belongings, Yi Jin gathered some of his bags and headed towards the parking lift, while Yi Chen waited for him to complete the paperwork.

As Yi Jin approached the lift, she noticed Ming Tao standing beside it and as a person who didn't see him. For her he was now just a new tenant so with a smile she walked near to him with the thought,  "So the new tenant wasn't a girl, but a handsome man!", “My girl guessed wrong this time!”

Commenting about Yi Chen's wrong guess, Yi Jin forgot to say "wait" as the lift doors began to close, but Ming Tao, being a gentleman, had already noticed her approach and held the door open for her.

"Thank you," Yi Jin said, smiling sheepishly as she entered the lift, her heart fluttering slightly at the unexpected act of kindness.

Ming Tao smiled back, his eyes crinkling at the corners, and nodded politely, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere in the lift.

As she reached out to press the button for her floor, she noticed the person beside her was heading to the same destination. "You're also going to floor five!" she exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with surprise.

He whispered a gentle "yup" in response, his smile growing wider.

"Then we must be close neighbours!" she said, her voice filled with excitement, realising that there were only two houses on each floor in their building.

"Ah, so you're the girl living in house number 9!" he said, his eyes crinkling at the corners.

Her eyes widened in surprise. "So you know our house number?!"

He chuckled. "Hey, don't you recognize my voice?" he asked, his tone playful.

And with that, her eyes flew open in shock, her mind racing to connect the familiar voice with the stranger standing beside her.

Actually Ming Tao was their New landlord, meaning the person who owned the house that Yi Chen, Yu Jin lived and Yu Xuan was going to live in. And as he bought the house when he was in Shanghai , Yu Jin only talked to him on the phone and did not see him in person.
