5 months later 

I'm going to fucking scream. 

I stared at Zoya who was eating ice cream and happily watching some Netflix on her phone. "I don't know Zoya, you seem fine to me." I said crossing my arms at her. She shrugged and said "I'm still sad Zaara." 

Even though something so big happened to Zoya, she was feeling fine after the 3rd month and I realized that was how Zoya coped. 

She had already been coping with this for years so how could it be different now? Especially since everyone was on her side and sending her chocolates and flowers. Mother tried not to say anything because of Father but Zoya has gained some weight. 

Father refuses to let anyone tell her though. "Zoya you have gained some pounds, don't you think it's time to stop?" Zoya stopped chewing on a chocolate strawberry and slowly looked up at me "What..did you just say?" 

I took a deep breath and said "You're fat." Zoya blinked at me once, twice and then she was chasing me around the mansion "YOU ASSHOLE HOW DARE YOU!" She yelled throwing her shoe at me. 

I quickly made it to my room and shut the door after she ran in behind me. Before she could strike, Humna put herself in between us. Zoya angrily breathed before she snapped out of it and took a seat on my bean bag. 

"You both have a total of 7 seconds to tell me what the fuck is going on." She said calmly. Me and Humna looked at each other "We are going to find out why Rayyana is in hiding." Zoya groaned in response "Oh my god no, not this again!" 

I glared her "And why shouldn't we investigate?" Zoya was never on board with me and Humna's ideas which pissed us both off. Just because she's father's favourite she acts like we need to be around her foot and back. 

Of course now we know why Father loves her more then us. 

"Because Zaara she's gone. What's it to us?" I scoffed "She isn't "gone" and Maria told me that she's been in there for years. Before any of us! Aren't you the least bit curious?" Zoya shrugged which made me growl at her. 

"Fine," I looked at Humna "If she's not on board, me and you should go find out!" Humna nodded and we both started to exit the room when Zoya said "Hmm... what if I told Mother about this?" 

Humna and I froze. If Mother found out, she would send me somewhere far from here. I clenched my jaw and turned to Zoya "What do you want?" Zoya hummed and said "I want you both to include me." 

I took a deep breath and tried not to literally kill her "I did, you said you didn't want to." Zoya smirked "I changed my mind." 

Yop, I was going to kill her. 

"No way!" Maria said hurrying past us. I groaned and ran after her "I don't care Maria, tell us the truth!" Maria ignored us and continued putting away the laundry before grabbing the basket and leaving the laundry room. 

"Maria!" Humna screamed after her, but she just continued quickly down the hall. "Maria please!" Maria huffed and screamed over her shoulder "It's almost dinner time, I'm busy. Go away!" 

Zoya huffed "Are we happy now?" But I ignored her and ran faster then Maria, I closed the kitchen door just as she arrived making her frown at me "Move." She said and I shook my head. "Not until you give me an answer!" 

Maria sighed and rubbed her forehead "Listen to me Ms. Martin, I have known you since you were a baby. Must you get me fired over something little?" Humna spoke up behind her "Little? Our Aunt has been missing for years! No one talks about her and we want to know why!" 

Maria glared at all of us "And that is not my place to say!" I growled "Then make it your place." How many more secrets did this family have? I was sick and tired of these secrets, and who know's if this is just the beginning!" 

Maria sighed "I can not say anything but If I must, All I'm going to say is that Rayyana is innocent. She was falsely accused and is continued to be falsely accused." She bit her lip and said "If you girls do manage to find out what happened what will you girls do? Those years of Rayyana gone in hiding can not be brought back and I'm afraid...It might be too late." 

And then Maria pushed the kitchen door open and slammed it behind me. Zoya, Humna, and I stared at the kitchen door with one thinking swirling in my mind. 

Why would It be too late?
