𝙃𝙪𝙢𝙣𝙖-𝙎𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧 2 𝙤𝙛 𝙕𝙖𝙖𝙧𝙖

8 hours 

It's been a total of 8 hours since Zoya was in there, and with every passing second I felt like I couldn't breath. 

In fact I felt like I couldn't breath ever since I found out the truth about this whole damn family. I was still in shock over this whole situation.

It appears bad luck loves my family. 

Being the middle child, no one really checks up on me. I'm found as the annoying one since all I do is go on my phone for hours and never stop recording but to be honest, it's the only way I get some recognition. 

Zaara and Zoya are the only one's talked about the most in the family, what about me? I've never been in the topic of conversation unless its about someone annoying in the family. 

Mother was beside me shaking with tears while Father-sorry Dabir? No...sorry it's a bit weird still calling him father. But yes, he was trying not to blow up on everyone. 

Nurses came and went but none of them ever stopped to talk to us. 

We heard the private elevator ding and in walked in Eshan, Zain, and ugh Taahir. I groaned and looked away from him until he stopped right beside me. 

I looked at him through the corner of my eye and he was biting his lip looking like he didn't want talk to me. 

Feeling's mutual.

"Hi Humna." I was shocked to say the least, he called me Humna very rarely. I nodded and continued staring at everywhere but him. "So..How's Zoya?" I shrugged and felt an elbow jamming into me. 

I tutted and stared up at Eshan who was glaring at me, and telling me with his eyes to be nice to Taahir.  sighed and turned to him "I don't know, no one has told us anything." Taahir nodded and then there was silence. 

"Mr. and Mrs. Martin?" Mother and Father quickly nodded and got up "Zoya is awake now, her cut was deep but thankfully we managed to save her in time." My mother thanked god while my Father just nodded, his face brightening up. 

"Can we see her?" Zaara asked "Sure." The doctor replied and then one by one we went inside to see Zoya. 

Zoya had a bandage around her arm and her dark circles were big, I had expected Mother to take a roller out and start rolling her face but Mother just kissed Zoya on the forehead and mumbled sweet nothings to her, as well as Father. 

Now it would be wrong of me to be jealous right now, especially since Zoya had done some...extremely painful things but my heart burned at the sight. 

If that was me, would I be getting the same love and affection? 

I stared at Zaara and wondered if she felt the same things. Me and her were different from everyone else, and we would be as long as Father was alive. 

I bit my lip and steadily left the room of course no one noticed, but I still did it sneakily. 

I took deep breaths of air outside the hospital just happy to be outside of that stuffy room...and I guess also happy for Zoya. 

Even if we weren't related by blood, we were still sisters. 

"You okay?" I heard from behind me. I nodded knowing exactly who it was, a little shocking that he cared about me but still. 

Taahir nodded and we both stood there quietly looking around "I uh..I heard about you, Zaara, and Dabir..." I took a deep breath and wished I did something dangerous, like smoke. 

Would have made me badass.

"Who hasn't heard about us?" I taunted him "Oh..no! No that's not what I meant!" Taahir said quickly. I stared at his flushed face "Are you okay? Why are you so weird?" Taahir rubbed his forehead looking like he wanted to earth to swallow him "I'm sorry Humna, I didn't mean it like that." 

I blinked at his apology. Since when did he start saying sorry to me? "It's okay Taahir," I said looking away from him "There's no point in hiding it. Everyone know's now." Zoya still hadn't told us who had leaked the news. 

Well, maybe she told Mother and Father but I still had no clue. I clenched my Jaw and thought about killing whoever leaked the info, and that bloody director Anthony. 

I had no clue something so big had happened to Zoya, in fact I'm sure none of us ever even thought of that. Zoya has always been the golden goose, the perfect and innocent one. The one who's image was never stained. 

But now look where she is. 

"Listen Humna I know we aren't on the best of terms, But...if you need someone I'm here." Taahir said nervously. I wanted to tell him that I didn't need him since I had Zaara and my brothers but something about his tone told me he was serious and that he would be happy if I ever did come to him. 

So instead, I surprised myself by nodding at him "Yeah of course...Thank you Taahir." We smiled at each other and that was when Zaara came out of the hospital in a rush "Humna!" She reached me and glanced at Taahir "Do you mind?" 

Taahir nodded and with one last look at me he left me and Zaara. "What was that?" She asked with a raised eyebrow "What was what?" I asked dumbly knowing exactly what it was. She shook her head "Whatever, Zoya just told us that before she fainted someone was with her!" 

Who was with her? Mother and Father were outside arguing, I was in the garden and Zaara was somewhere around. If she's telling me this now it means that she wasn't the one with Zoya at the time. 

"She said she saw a purple dress and a ponytail, and who do we know that fits the exact same description?" 

I thought about it until it hit me. 

Rayyana

"Bingo!" Zaara said staring at my face. "I don't get it, why does Rayyana always show herself when no one is around?" What happened that made her go into hiding? 

Zaara shrugged "Listen, I know you and Zoya found the idea horrible but I really think we should try to find out what happened to her! This doesn't sound as something as simple as a sibling's argument." 

Zaara was right, and to be honest I was a bit tempted. Last time I checked, Zoya was the only one not on board. Of course, I was only on board to document all this and publish it into a book or something but now I'm tempted to change my habits. 

I bit my lip and nodded "Fine Zaara, we will investigate. But we should start when Zoya is feeling better okay?" It would be cruel to start now. Especially since I still need to kill Anthony and whoever leaked the info. 

Zaara nodded and then she looked away from me probably thinking of the way's we could find out why Rayyana "left" 

I took a deep breath and thought of two things 

1. I was going to meet my aunt 

2. Taahir isn't so bad....
