𝐔𝐩𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐧𝐝
So much changed, but not enough to end,
These habits still remain unbroken,
As upon me, cruel patterns descend,
Did I pray my past become a friend?
Did I wish such a friend make amends?
Did I will amends immune to bend?
Did I hope such bends I could transcend?
Upon my prayers, I cannot depend,
Wishes, too, I expect to expend,
As will the same hopes falter again,
Rest no courage, for my mind pretends,
My soul is not valued to commend,
Yet again, my heart aims to ascend
And my story is far from its end....
