
Chapter Seven
ST. THEODORA HEALTH CLINIC
The next day, Christy lays in bed, asleep. She tiredly wakes up and slowly sits up straight.
{Christy's Infirmary Outfit}
Christy looks at Klaus as he gently leaning sideways on the doorframe.
"Klaus?" Christy said.
"Hi." Klaus greeted, and slowly walks up to her. "Callahan's fine by the way. He and Keelin will see you later."
"Okay." Christy said.
Christy's phone buzzes on the nightstand. And Klaus takes the phone and turns it off.
"What the hell, Klaus? Why did you do that?" Christy asked her husband, bewildered.
"Because you need sleep. And last thing that I want for you is to collapse again from exhaustion or worst." Klaus told her with a serious expression on his face.
Christy's bewildered expression turns worried as she looks at her husband's dead serious expression on his face.
Klaus calms down and sighs to himself. "Christy? I know you're worried about your besties, Callahan and Keelin, but just once, can you worry about yourself?"
"Okay, I'm sorry." Christy apologized. "I didn't mean to worry you that much."
"I'm your husband, I'm always gonna worry about you." Klaus said.
Klaus and Christy exchange reassured looks at each other. He slowly walks up to her and sits down beside her with a duffel bag.
"What's with the duffle bag?" Christy asked him.
"New clothes." Klaus replied.

FRENCH QUARTER CAFร
After getting discharged, Klaus and Christy are sitting at a table. She has a mug of orange juice, a Deli ham and cheese sandwich and fries.

"What about you, are you a bit hungry?" Christy asked her husband, eating on her sandwich.
"I'm fine." Klaus said. "And when we get to the homestead safe-house, you're getting some sleep."
"Okay." Christy said, and continues eating her sandwich.

HOMESTEAD SAFE-HOUSE
Later on that day, In a bedroom, after taking off her coat, socks, and sneakers, and taking another medicine pill, Christy lays in bed, asleep, with the fluffy bedcover covering her.
Klaus is gently leaning sideways on the doorframe, looking at his wife as she sleeps peacefully.
Elijah slowly walks up beside his brother, Klaus. "How is she?"
"Christy's still recovering. But she's gonna be fine." Klaus said.
"Cyrus asked for us, Niklaus." Elijah said.
"Alright." Klaus said.
Klaus and Elijah walks away and gently walks down the stairs and into the living room.
"Luna? Trinity? I need to look after your mother for me, okay?" Klaus asked his daughters.
"Yes, sir. We will." Luna said.
"And we'll make sure that Mom eats and drinks nutritional and also gets plenty of sleep." Trinity added.
"Alright." Klaus said.
Suddenly, Cyrus pops up in the living room. "Klaus? Elijah?"
"Cyrus." Klaus said.
Cyrus looks at Luna and Trinity. "Hello, Luna. Trinity."
"Hi, Mr. Cyrus." Trinity greeted the Elder God.
Cyrus walks over to Klaus and Elijah. He gently puts his on Klaus's and Elijah's shoulders and teleports away in golden dust.

After her nap, Christy gently walks down the stairs and into the living room. Luna and Trinity looks at their Mom.
"Hey, Mom." Luna greeted her Mom. "How are you?"
"I'm fine." Christy replied. And sits down on the three seat sofa between her daughters. And looks at the platter of cronuts and apple turnovers. "What's with the platter of cronuts and apple turnovers?"
"Hagarth brought some cronuts and apple turnovers." Luna tells her.
"And also hot apple cider to help you relax." Trinity said.
"Okay. You guys wants cronuts and hot apple cider?" Christy asked her daughters.
"Sure." Trinity said.

Minutes after, Christy, Luna and Trinity are playing video games on the TV and Christy is watching her daughters.
"Luna's gaining on you, Trinity." Christy said, taking a swig of her mug of hot apple cider drink.
"Nah, she think she does." Trinity said.
Christy, Luna and Trinity exchange playful chuckles with each other. Christy's phone buzzes in her jeans pocket.
Christy gets up and walks over to the kitchen table and sits down, looking at her phone.
Klaus
Christy answer her phone. "Hey, honey. I'm fine."
"I know, I'm just checking on you." Klaus said on the phone.
"I know, Luna and Trinity are babysitting me." Christy said on the phone.
Klaus chuckles softly on the phone. "As long as you're healthy, I'm reassured."
"Yeah, me too. And I'm also able to do my magic as well." Christy said.
"Baby steps, Christiana. Don't want you overexerting yourself." Klaus said to her. "And by the way, who's Persephone?"
"Persephone. She's Marcalos's wife." Christy told him.
"Marcalos remarried." Klaus said, surprised.
"Yeah, he did. After Lorena died, he didn't want to be alone anymore and so, he remarried Persephone, and trust me, you don't want to make her angry." Christy said.
"Alright then, I'll see you when I get back to the homestead safe-house." Klaus said to her.
"Alright. And I'm not gonna sit around here in this homestead safe-house, I'm getting out." Christy told Klaus.
"Alright, love you." Klaus said.
"Love you too." Christy said, and hangs up her phone. "Luna? Trinity? I'll be back, I'm getting takeout."
"Okay." Luna said.
Putting back on her sneakers and coat, Christy gets her car key and walks away.

That afternoon, after getting takeout food from the French Quarter cafรฉ, Christy puts the takeout bag on the passenger's seat as she gets inside her Honda Civic Hatchback car.
Now, driving on the road, on her drive back to the homestead safe-house, Christy's Bluetooth earpiece buzzes in her ear.
She presses the green 'Answer' button on her Bluetooth earpiece. "Hello?"
"Hey, Christy. It's Ana. I phone called Klaus and he told me what happened. Are you okay? Are you alright?" Ana asked.
"Yeah, Ana. I'm fine." Christy reassured her. "What's the scoop with you?"
"Nothing much. Just wanted to check on you. It's what friends do." Ana said to Christy.
Christy chuckles softly. "Thanks for checking on me. I really appreciate it."
"You're welcome, and I also know that you and I have been friends for a while now, but I feel like that we're gonna become best friends." Ana said.
"Yeah, me too. I have multiple best friends." Christy said.
Ana chuckles softly on the Bluetooth earpiece. "Alrighty, I'll see you around. Keep in contact, okay?"
"I will." Christy said.
And Ana hangs up her phone. And Christy proceeds to drive on.

HOMESTEAD SAFE-HOUSE
That evening, in the living room, Luna and Trinity are sitting on the three seat sofa, eating their takeout food of brown rice, broccoli and shrimp with their forks and sweet teas.
Klaus and Christy are in the kitchen, making chocolate chip cookies on the cooking pan.
"So, what did you and Elijah talk about with my Uncle Cyrus?" Christy asked.
"Cyrus spoke with Elijah and I about Marcalos's wife, Persephone." Klaus tells her. "He warned us about her."
"Persephone is a beautiful attractive woman, but she's wicked." Christy said.
"Persephone's beautiful yet dangerously wicked." Klaus said.
"Yep." Christy agreed, putting the cookies in the oven.
And Klaus sets the timer.
Klaus and Christy exchange playfully looks at each other and playfully high fives each other.
"Good news is, the cookies will be ready in a few minutes. And the bad news, is getting late." Christy said.
"You can go head, I'll take." Klaus said.
"Okay." Christy said.
Christy pecks a kiss on Klaus's cheek and slowly walks away from him as she talks to him.
"And don't sneak a cookie either, because I will know." Christy said.
Klaus and Christy exchange playfully chuckles with each other as she keeps walking away.

Later on that night, after changing into her nightdress, Christy is gently leaning on the balcony railing, spaced out.
{Christy's Nightdress Outfit}
"I see you've found the nightdress that I left out for you." Klaus said, gently leaning sideways on the balcony wall.
Christy turns around to look at her husband with a small smile with her hand on the railing. "Or maybe, you wanted me to wear it, so, you can paint it."
Klaus chuckles softly. "Okay, you got me. I wanted you to wear your pretty nightdress so, I can take a picture with my mind."
Christy small smiles at him. "You can be such a romantic when you want to be, don't you?"
"Yeah, sometimes I can be." Klaus replied with a smile. "And by the way, this homestead safe-house is cloaked, right?"
"Yeah, I cloaked it myself with my magic." Christy tells him.
Klaus and Christy exchange small smiles at each other.
"Luna and Trinity are asleep." Klaus said to her.
"Okay." Christy said. "And I'm gonna get some sleep too."
Klaus and Christy exchange small smiles at each other.

Minutes later, Christy is asleep in Klaus and hers bedroom. She tiredly wakes up and looks beside her.
Noticing that Klaus isn't laying beside her and the light in the living room is still on, Christy becomes worried and gets out of bed and slowly walks out.
Christy gently walks down the stairs and into the main living room. She slowly walks down the hallway and looks at Klaus, drinking bourbon, gently leaning backwards on the balcony railing.
Christy slowly walks up beside her husband and gently puts her hand on his shoulder.
"Weiy tey. ( "What is it?" ) Christy asked her husband, spoke in ancient Orasani language.
Klaus looks at Christy and replies in the ancient Orasani language. "Saime." ( "Nothing much." )
Christy gives him a really look expression on her face. "Klaus?"
Klaus sighs to himself. "When you flatlined, I thought you almost died. I know you're immortal, but still."
"I'm right here. Alive and well. With you, and our daughters." Christy reassured her husband.
Klaus small smiles to himself. "Don't use that reassuring voice tone with me." Getting up and slowly walks away from her, drinking the rest of his bourbon.
And Christy senses that there's something else off with him. "Klaus? What's really going on with you? And don't say you're fine, because you're not."
Klaus turns around to look at his wife, Christy. "When you collapsed, I feared the worst."
"Why didn't you tell me?" Christy asked, walking up to him.
"Because I didn't want to burden you." Klaus told her, glumly.
"Klaus?" Christy said.
"I know what you're trying to do. And I love you for reassuring me." Klaus said with a small smile.
And Christy small smiles at him.
"I'll be fine, Chris. Now, go on, get some sleep." Klaus said and pecks a kiss on her forehead.
Klaus and Christy exchange small smiles at each other and she slowly walks away from him.
