BLOODY MARY [PART ONE]
___
"Oh my God, look at him. He's hot."
โ
"Hey, wady. Keep ywour wyes off my dad. He's spoken fow."
โข โข โข
Dean, Juliet, Sam and Harlow sit in the Impala as Dean drives as Sam sits in shotgun, fast asleep. Juliet sits in the back with Harlow, the five-year old Winchester reading a pop up book to herself as her mother reads a book called 'Wuthering heights'.
Juliet looks up from the page of the book she is reading and shares a concerned look with Dean in the rearview mirror as Sam starts to whimper Jessica's name in his sleep.
Juliet bites her lip, having an internal argument with herself; whether to wake the sleeping Winchester or not, but when Sam whimpers once more, Juliet comes to a decision. She leans foward and grabs Sam's shoulder, gently shaking him. "Sammy, it's just a nightmare. Wake up." Unfortunately, Sam doesn't react to her words and continues to figet and whimper.
Harlow looks up at her mom, "Mommy, is unca Swammy okay?"
Juliet can't help but smile at how Harlow pronounces Sam's name. The brunette reaches her hand out and brushes her fingers through her daughter's hair. "Your Uncle Sammy is fine, honey. He's just having a bad dream, that's all." Harlow pauses before noding her head and going back to her pop up book about all different kinds of animals.
Juliet watches as Dean parks the car in front of a large bulding.
Juliet turns to Dean, "Baby, try waking him up. Maybe my voice was too soft and I didn't shake him hard enough"
The oldest Winchester brother looks to his girlfriend and nods his head before lightly hitting his brother in the stomach, "Sam, wake up." The said brother jumps awake, confused. He looks around the car and sees both Dean and Juliet's eyes on him, concerned. The younger Winchester brother sighs, "I take it I was having a nightmare?"
Dean glances between his brother and the building they are parked outside of as Juliet furrows her eyebrows while Dean is the one to reply to his younger brother. "Yeah, another one." Sam shrugs his shoulders, "Hey, at least I got some sleep." Juliet reaches her right hand out and rubs her best friend's shoulder. "C'mon, Sammy. This isn't healthy, talk to us, don't bottle it all up." Juliet's best friend just gives her a smile causing Juliet to sigh as she takes her hand off of his shoulder.
Harlow looks up from her pop up book, once again. The little Winchester girl looks up at her only uncle. "Are you otay, Unca Swammy?" Sam looks at his neice from the rearview mirror and plasts a smile on his face. "I'm okay, angel." Happy and satisfied with her uncle's answer, Harlow goes back to her book.
Dean chances a glance at Sam, "You know, sooner or later we're gonna have to talk about this. You may be able to fool Harlow, but you can't fool me and Jules, Sammy. Juliet's right, don't bottle it up, man."
Sam ignores his brother and instead looks out at the scenery outside. "Are we here?" Dean sighs but decides to humor his brother and nods his head, "Yup. Welcome to Toledo, Ohio." Sam picks up the newspaper that is laying on the dash while also listening to his brother. The tallest Winchester brother's eyes scan the paper, reading the obitury that Juliet had circled.
'SHOEMAKER, Steven'
'The Shoemaker family is sad to announce the sudden death of their beloved husband and father Steven Shoemaker. Steven was 46. A short service will be held on Wednesday. [...] 31 a 2:00pm, at the Toledo [...] and cherish you [...] Your [...]
Sam casts his eyes back to Dean, "So what do you think really happend to this guy?" His older brother glances down at the newspaper before shrugging his shoulders, "That's what we're gonna find out." Juliet pokes her head between the two brother's "Personally, I think a spirit could be involved."
Sam and Dean both turn to Juliet, the latter out of the two smirking at his girlfriend. "You wanna make a bet on that?" Juliet returns the smirk and holds her hand out for Dean to shake, "Yeah, okay. 20 dollars says I'm right."
"Oh, you're on, babe"
Dean shakes her hand before pulling her closer to him and sealing the deal by kissing her. Dean smiles as Juliet giggles into the kiss. Harlow smiles at her mother and father, happy that they are happy. That smile slowly vanishes as she casts her eyes to her uncle and sees him looking at the two with a frown on his lips, she wonders why.
Sam eyes the happy, and much in love, couple, not being able to hold back the frown on his face. Maybe he's acting sour because of his dream but, man, he misses Jess. It feels like there's a gaping hole in his heart and some days, he can get through the day without noticing it but today is one of those days where he can't bare it.
Dean breaks away from the kiss, a big ol' smile on his face, the kind of one that Juliet loves.
The huntress blushes as she sees Sam still in the car, feeling bad for forgetting he was there. She can't help it, when Deam kisses her, it's like she's in a world of her own and the sparks she feels every time, oh, it has her wanting to kick her legs and giggle like she's a love sick teen. Dean clears his throat as he looks to Sam, a smirk on his face as he motions his head towards the building. "Let's go." The three hunters step out of the impala.
Juliet smiles as she watches Dean run around to the left passenger side of the impala and sees Dean unbuckle Harlow and help her out of the car before picking her up and setting her on his hip. Juliet swoons as she watches Harlow kiss Dean on the cheek causing him to jokingly pull a face just to get her to laugh, which she does.
Their daughters laughter is like music, it could light up the sky and bring a smile to anyone's face.
'My family.'

Dean, Juliet and Sam enter a room numbered '144', which happens to also be the morgue of the hospital. Harlow stays outside with a member of the hospital staff, coloring in pictures and crayons that the nurse had provided for the five year old girl.
Juliet analyzes the room, there's two desks. Juliet sighs under her breath as she notices the desk with the nameplate reading, 'Dr. D. Feiklowcz.' is empty and that's just the person they needed, to see the body of the man that had recently died. The huntress looks to the other desk which has a similar name plate but this one has a different name or more like title, 'Morgue Technician.'.
This desk however, has a person sitting behind it.
The Morgue tech looks up from his paperwork and spots the three hunters.
"Hey."
Dean, Juliet and Sam approach the desk, The oldest Winchester brother is the one to reply out of the three. "Hey." The morgue tech looks between the two Winchester brothers and Sullivan descendant.
"Can I help you?"
Juliet looks to Dean and furrows her eyebrows as she sees Dean wrack around in his brain, thinking of an excuse as to why they are there.
"Yeah. We're the, uh...med students."
Juliet tries to hold back her sigh and tries to refrain from banging her head againt the desk in exasperation. The morgue tech raises an eyebrow in suspicion as he eyes the three hunters, "Sorry?"
Dean nods his head, "Oh, Doctor-" The older Winchester brother takes a quick peak at the nametag on the empty desk before turning back around to face the morgue tech. "-Figlavitch didn't tell you?"
Juliet cringes, this has to be some kind of form of torture, having to watch Dean stumble over his words.
Deciding that enough is enough, Juliet subtly stands on her boyfriend's foot before politely smiling at the morgue tech. "Sorry about him, he gets nervous when talking to people-" Juliet sends Dean a look as she hears him huff. The father of her daughter, immediately stops mid-huff and shuts his mouth, having seen her look. Sam covers up his laugh with a cough,
'Yeah, he's whipped.'
The huntress looks back to the morgue tech, the smile back on her face. The brunette can't help but roll her eyes as she see's the morgue tech practically drooling. The morgue tech didn't notice, too busy fawning over the brunette.
'Ugh, all men are the same when they're in close proximity to a woman and I'm only being polite.'
"-We talkes to him on the phone. We're from Ohio state. He's supposed to show us the Shoemaker corpse. It's for our paper and I hate to fail, y'know?"
Her voice seemed to bring the morgue tech out of his daze, Juliets holds back a breath of hope as she sees the morgue technician's deciding if he should give in to her charm or not. The brunette's hope is distinguished as the morgue tech winces in apology. "Well, I'm sorry ma'am, he's at lunch."
Sam struggles to keep his laughter in as a look of thunder flashes across Juliet's face at being called ma'am. Dean's notices it as well, as he is quick to step in front of his girlfriend, "Oh well he said, uh-" Dean turns to Juliet once more and winces when as the thunderous look on her face just seems to darken. Maybe stumbling on his words really isn't helping. What is wrong with him today?
-oh, well, you know, it doesn't matter. You don't mind just showing us the body, do you?"
It's no surprise to Juliet when the morgue tech shakes his head, "Sorry, I can't. Doc wil be back in an hour. You can wait for him if you want."
Taking a breath, Dean kisses his teeth, "An hour? Ooh. We gotta be heading back to Columbus by then." He looks to his younger brother, knowing that Juliet is still pissed. Sam nods his head, "Yeah." Dean then turns back to the morgue tech, "Uh, look, man, this paper's like half our grade, so if you don't mind helping us out-"
The morgue technician is quick to cut Dean off, mocking his words to his face. "Uh, look, man...no." Dean laughs it off before turning around to both his brother and girlfriend, muttering under his breath.
"I'm gonna hit him in his face I swear."
Juliet looks to her boyfriend, the look of anger still on her face.
"Join the que, I'm gonna punch his lights out for calling me ma'am. Do I look like a ma'am? I have twenty years before I'm a ma'am." From the corner of her eye, she see's Dean wince, like he wants to say something but is holding it back. "What?" Knowing he's been caught out, Dean sighs. "Twenty? T-that's debatable." Juliet goes to hit him on the arm but decides against it and instead brushes past him to stand next to Sam.
The said Winchester brother, hits Dean in the arm twice, one for Dean's earlier comment and also one on Juliet's behalf. The taller Winchester brother then stands infront of the two, now angry, hunters and takes a shot at trying to get them in to see the body. Juliet watches with a smirk as Sam puts his hand in Dean's pocket and pulls out his older brother's wallet and pulls out some twenties. Sam lays down, at least five of them, on the morgue tech's desk.
The morgue technician is quick to pick up the hundred dollars, a smile on his face as he stashes the cash in his pocket before getting up from his desk. "Follow me." he then walks through the door that leads to the where dead bodies are kept for autopsy.
Before the three hunters follow him, Dean stops his brother from following by hitting him on the shoulder, a grumpy look on his face. "Dude, I earned that money." Sam rolls his eyes, "You won it in a poker game." Dean nods his head, "Yeah, against Jules." Sam rolls his eyes once more before following after the morgue tech.
Juliet pats Dean's arm as she passes him, "You better still have enough to give me that twenty when it turns out I'm right."
Dean rolls his eyes good-naturedly before they both follow after Sam and the morgue tech.
โข โข โข
Sam looks to the morgue tech as he leads them towards a body covered by a thin sheet. "Now the newspaper said his daughter found him. She said his eyes were bleeding." The three hunters watch as the morgue technician pulls back the sheet, revealing the face of Mr. Shoemaker, Juliet kisses her teeth as she sees Mr. Shoemaker's eyes are no longer there.
"More than that. They practically liquefied."
Juliet looks to the morgue tech, a few questions on her mind. "Was there any sign of a struggle? Maybe somebody did it to him?" The morgue technician shakes his head to both questions. "Nope. Besides the daughter, he was all alone." Sam looks to the morgue tech with one of his eyebrows raised. "What's the offical cause of death?" The morgue technician shrugs his shoulders, "Ah, Doc's not sure. He's thinking massive stroke, maybe an aneurysm? Something burst up in there, that's for sure."
Sam furrows his eyebrows. "What do you mean?" The morgue tech looks between the three hunters, "Intense cerebral bleeding. This guy had more blood in his skull than anyone I've ever seen."
Juliet gets the morgue tech's attention and gestures to the body's eyes. "And the eyes, what would cause something like that?" The morgue Technician shakes his head from side to side, "Capillaries can burst. See a lot of bloodshot eyes with stroke victims." Dean nods his head, "Yeah? You ever see exploding eyeballs?" The morgue Technician shakes his head, "That's a first for me, but hey, I'm not the doctor."
Dean looks down in thought before looking up at the morgue tech, something on his mind. "Hey, think we could take a look at the police report? You know for, uh...our paper." The morgue technician winces in 'apology'. "I'm not really supposed to show you that."
Juliet, on her last straw, sighs as she pulls her purse out of her back pocket and pulls out more bank notes to bribe the morgue tech with.

Dean, Juliet and Sam walk down the stairs of the hospital with Harlow holding her dad's hand with her right one while holding a drawing she had done with the nurse in her left.
Juliet sighs as Sam's voice stops them before they can exit through the hospital doors. "Might not be one of ours. Might just be soem freak medical thing." The huntress turns to Sam, a small smile on her face. "Are you serious? Sam if I had a penny for everytime you say that, I would be rich."
Harlow, hearing her mother's words, looks up at Juliet with a beaming smile on her face. "Would dwat mean we wouldn't bwe in m-m.." Juliet smiles down at her daughter and helps her daughter out with what she's struggling to say. "Motels?" The five year old girl nods her head enthustiastically, "Wup! Dwat's the won."
Dean and Juliet laugh, the latter of the two being the one to answer. "I would hope so. Imagine it, Harls. Nice comfy beds, a kitchen. It would be great." The little Winchester nods her head, closing her eyes to try and picture what her mother is saying. "And wall the appwe pie in the world."
That gets a laugh out of Dean.
The said Winchester, scoops his daughter up in his arms causing her to giggle with glee. Dean smiles, "If your mom and i had it our way, kid. You would get as much apple pie and candy as you want and eat it till your heart's content."
The five year old cheers as Dean sets her on her feet and grabs her hand once again. The Hunter looks to the mother of his child and pulls a face when he sees Juliet sends send him a look.
Juliet knows that if that was the case, and they were loaded, Dean would do everything in his power to make sure that the words he just said would come to pass, but that's okay because Juliet would make sure to sneak some vegetables on her plate.
Sam looks to his small family, "Guys, I had to break up this little moment but can we please get back to the hunt."
Dean and Juliet share a glance with one another, both detecting the irritation that lays in the tone of his voice. The brunette huntress look back to her best friend, knowing that there is something seriously up with him, she narrows her eyes in warning but also in concern.
Dean sighs in annoyance at his little brother, thinking exactly the same thoughts as his girlfriend, but he decides to humor his brother and gets back to the topic beforehand. "Juliet is right, Sammy. I mean, how many times in Dad's long and varied career has it actually been a freak medical thing and not some sign of an awful supernatural death?"
Sam pauses for a minute, weighing up Dean's words before sighing.
"Uh, almost never."
Dean and Juliet nod their heads and speak in unison.
"Exactly."
The hunters turn to each other, giving each other a look. Sam's voice, however, brings their attention back to him. The taller Winchester brother sighs once more, "All right, let's go talk to the daughter."
As Sam walks away, Dean and Juliet have a moment between themselves. The huntress turns to her candy apple greened eyed boyfriend, a frown tugging at the corners of her full and rose pink lips.
"Something is seriously up with him. Think it might have something to do with that nightmare of his?" Her chocolate brown eyes meet his green ones. She watches as Dean shrugs, "I have no clue but if he talks to us like that again, I'll punch him."
Juliet places a hand on Dean's arm, "Maybe don't do that. I didn't like his tone either, but we're forgetting that Jessica's loss is still fresh in his mind and maybe him seeing us together with Harlow, hurts him. I mean, think about it, he's probably still mourning Jessica and us being on the road with him, acting like a couple, probably reminds him of what he could've had, what he should've had, have had with Jess."
Dean furrows his eyebrows, "So, we should just put our relationship on hold? Or stop acting like we're together, that's what you're saying?" The hunter watches as Juliet shakes her head, "No, not at all. What I'm saying is, maybe we could both be a bit more mindful of Sam when he's around us. Y'know what I mean?"
Dean weighs it up in his head before lifiting his head up and down in a nod. "Yeah, I know what you mean."
The two hunters start to make their way towards Sam, who's waiting by the Impala.
Harlow, still holding Dean's hand, swipes her head across her forehead. "Phew, I thwought they we're gwoing to arguw."
โข โข โข
The three hunters and little Winchester walk into the Shoemaker's home, where the funral is being held.
Juliet looks to her left and see's a picture of Steven Shoemaker on his desk. The huntress tilts her head. "Huh? He looks better with his eyes still intact." Sam shoots Juliet a glare at hearing her comment while Dean holds back his laughter. Harlow, bless her, just looks confused.
They make their way through the home, Juliet holding Harlow's hand. The brunette looks around the room, noticing the attendees are all men in black suits and women in black dresses. A blush starts to color her cheeks pink as she looks down at her attire.
She's wearing a dark blue long-sleeved shirt with a heart-shapped neckline and ripped black denim jeans with biker boots. If you look close enough, on Juliet's right inner wrist, just below the sleeve, you can see Dean's name in cursive writing, a tattoo. Dean has one similar but on his left inner wrist, with Juliet's name is cursive writing.
Juliet then looks down at Harlow, wincing slightly as her pale pink dress is a very contrasting color compared to the other people, who are in mourning, wearing black. But hey, are shoes are black.
Dean is wearing his signature jacket leather jacket, that John had given him, over his dark shirt with dark blue his ripped jeans and his boots. Sam is wearing his brownish/grayish Jacket over his hoodie fleece with denim jeans and boots.
To put it lightly, they don't look at all dressed for a funeral.
Dean, always being the one to point out the obvious, turns to his brother and girlfriend. "Feel like we're underdressed." Juliet, instead of coming up with some sort of comment to send his way, just nods in agreement. "Yeah, me too."
The family of four quicken their pace, trying not to draw too much attention to themselves.
The three hunters and child keep walking through the house towards the back.
Juliet looks around the Shoemaker's garden, wistfully you could say. She sometimes feels like she's missing out on a picket white fence. Sometimes she catches herself staring off into the distance, dreaming of what it would be like to live an 'apple pie life' as Dean would say. She could just picture it, having a house of their own with Harlow having her own room, her own bed with her own space. She can imagine her daughter's room being disney related or her walls covered from ceiling to floor in her drawings. Her and Dean would have their own room of course, maybe with a tv in it, so they could watch it before falling alseep without the fear of waking everyone else up, or maybe they wouldn't watch tv, they could stay up just talking before falling asleep.
Their room would have pictures over the walls, photos of their childhood in the house back in Lawrence, Kansaa. Some would be of all their family moments like when Harlow was born, her first time at a park, a photo still of her first steps. Photos of them feeding her in the highchair for the first time.
Of course Sam would have a room of his own as well, Juliet wouldn't have it any other way but alas, those are just dreams with the life they live, they would never be able to settle down.
Juliet quietly scoffs under her breath as a fleeting thought crosses her mind.
'We would have to be some sort of legacies to live that kind of life.'
The huntress is broken out of her thoughts by the sound of a man's voice. The brunette blinks and looks to where the man is pointing. There, sitting in a small group, is a bunch of girls, tow ofย of them seem to sitting around a short-haired head who's dabbing a tissue at her eyes and another girl, who looks younger than the red head, her little sister perhaps. They're sitting close enough to be sisters.
The four hunters make their way to the small bunch of girls.
As they approach the group, a blonde haired girl, who's sitting on one of the wooden deck chairs, looks up from picking at her nails. Her greenish-blue eyes are immediatlely drawn to Dean's.
A wave of jealousy washes over Juliet as the blonde's jaw drops to the floor. The huntress narrows her eyes into a glare as she sees the young adult look her man up and down. Her glare harshens as she overhears the blonde whisper under her breath, to her friend.
"Oh, my God, look at him. He's hot."
The huntress goes to say something but a small voice stops her, as well as surprises her.
"Hey, wady. Keep ywour wyes off my dad. He's spoken fow"
Juliet looks down at Harlow, her brown orbs wide at her daughter coming to the rescue. The young mother can't help but smirk, just a little as the blonde looks down with a blush on her cheeks at being called out.
Juliet can't help but also feel that little bit proud of her daughter for sticking up for her.
Dean looks between them, awkwardly, before his green eyes land on the red-head's grieving frame. The older Winchestr brother shoots the girl a small but polite smile. "You must be Donna, right?"
The red-head, which they now know is Donna, nods her head,
"Yeah."
Dean goes to reply but sees the blonde from before, still looking at him like he's a piece of meat. He clears his throat, feeling ten times more awkward because this lady won't tear her eyes away from him.
Sam sighs as he looks to Dean, noticing his predicament. The younger but taller Winchestr brother turns to Juliet but rolls his eyes when he sees that her glare is still trained on the blonde.
With one more sigh, Sam looks to Donna.
"Hi, uh-we're really sorry."
Donna sends Sam a small smile, hearing the sincerity in his voice.
"Thank you."
The red head then looks between the small family of four, silently questioning why they are here and how they knew her dad.
Sam, sensing this, gestures to himself, Juliet and Dean.
"I'm Sam, this is Juliet and this is Dean-"
The taller Winchester brother lays his hand on Harlow's shoulder. "-and this is Dean and Juliet's daughter, Harlow. My niece." He then gestures to himself, Dean and Juliet once more. "The three of us, we worked with your dad."
Juliet raises an eyebrow as she doesn't miss the looks that Donna and her friends share between them.
Donna looks back to Sam, a certain look in her eye.
"You did?"
Dean, always being the one to point out the obvious but also being the one to miss the obvious, nods his head, "Yeah. This whole thing. I mean, a stroke." The other blonde girl, sitting on the left of Donna, looks between the three hunters. "I don't think she really wants to talk about this right now."
Dean goes to open his mouth, but Donna turns to her friend before he can say anything. Juliet watches as Donna places her hand on the other blonde's arm. "It's okay. I'm okay." She then turns back to Dean, Juliet and Sam, silently telling them to carry on with what they were saying and Dean does just that.
"Were there any symptoms? Dizziness? Migraines?"
Juliet furrows her eyebrows as Donna shakes her head 'no' in answer to each question.
The three hunters share a look and go on to ask more questions but Donna's little sister turns around.
"That's because it wasn't a stroke."
Now that, that hasย all three hunters interest piqued.
Donna turns to her little sister and runs her fingers through her hair in comfort. "Lily, don't say that."
Juliet looks between the two sisters, one of her dark eyerbrows raised. "What?" Her brown eyes meet Donna's frame. The huntress watches as the red head shakes her head, "I'm sorry, she's just upset." Juliet watches as Lily shakes her head and looks between her sister and the hunters. "No, it happened because of me."
Donna just shakes her head, again.
"Sweetie, it didn't."
Juliet gets down on her knees in front of Lily, so she can be eye level with the young girl. The huntress can already feel her motherly instinct kick in. The brunette gently grabs the thirteen year olds hands. "Lily, look at me."
At the sound of Juliet's gentle but motherly tone, the young teen does what she asks.
Juliet's eyes meet with hers.
The huntress sends her a small smile.
"Now, why on earth would you think that your dad's accident has something to do with you?"
The thirteen year old sniffs as she tries and holds back her tears.
"Because, right before he died, I said it."
Juliet furrows her eyebrows, confused.
"You said what, honey?"
Lily's eyes meet Juliet's, the huntress is slightly taken back by the seriousness showing in her eyes.
"Bloody Mary, three times in the bathroom mirror."
There's a pause in the air as Juliet looks between Sam and Dean. All three of them thinking the same thing. The huntress looks back to Lily as she carries on with her side of the story. "She took his eyes, that's what she does."
Juliet gets up from her kneeling position on the floor as she, once again, looks between Sam and Dean as Donna puts her arm around her sister's small frame. "That's not why dad died. This isn't your fault."
Dean looks down at the two sister's before adressing the younger one as he too, feels his father instincts kick in. "I think your sister's right, Lily. There's no way it could have been Bloody Mary. Your dad didn't say it, did he?"
Lily shakes her head as her sniffles start to calm down due to Dean's words. "No, I don't think so."
Juliet smiles down at Lily, warmly. "Well then, it's not your fault."
Lily smiles up at both Dean and Juliet in thanks and though the smile is small, it still makes Juliet's heart swell.
The three hunters along with Harlow then make their way back into the house.
Juliet looks to Dean while Sam grabs Harlow's hand.
"We've got to check out that bathroom."
Dean nods his head in agreement as they set off to do just that.

Authors Note
And that's a wrap for 'Blood Mary' part one.
I hope you guys enjoyed the chapter, please don't forget to vote and also let me knowย what you thought of this chapter by commenting. I love all of your guys' comments. It makes my day.
What do you want to happen in this episode, any theories?
Also, also; I have an idea but want your guys' opinion...
See, I'm thinking of adding the bloopers at the end of each act for example at the end of act one, season one bloopers will be added and then at the end of Act two, season two bloopers would be added and so forth...
Of course, Juliet's charcter would be added except her name will be Sarah, if that makes sense. (The face claim will still be Phoebe Tonkin)
Let me know what you guys think as I, personally think it would be a good idea as it'll give you some idea on who Sarah is as an Oc and just get to know her in general.
Anyway, enough of that...
I'll see you all in the next chapter โค๏ธ
