A particular dragon was planning to strike against the Lions after winning the support of the Golden Company along with King Balon Greajoy, which came with a price. In return, he would have to marry Yara Greajoy and make her his queen, which he had reluctantly accepted. With his growing army, He was even more determined to sail to Westeros now. His Dragon, Baelrion, was strong and big enough to ride. Yet, he found himself facing obstacles in the way that was keeping him from taking the Iron Throne.
There was still the matter of Euron Greajoy to worry about, for rumor has it the Kraken has been sailing through the lands of Old Valyria looking for a dragon blinder. This magical object could control dragons without having to be bonded to them. Then came the other issue of his aunt and niece, who refused to support him and accept him as the rightful heir to the Iron Throne.
"Those god-forsaken women think they can rule!? The last time a weakling sat on the Iron throne, the realm was plunged into chaos.", he mumbled.
"Do not fear, brother dearest; they will come to accept you in the end.", replied his sister, Maenerys.
A black-haired beauty, she was renowned more for her wits than her looks. Every nobleman had dreamed of getting into her bed, but none of them would last long in between her thighs.
" I don't think Lady Elaena and Lady Daenerys will be accepting your terms any time soon, your grace; it appears that their arrogance has blinded them to the presence of the one true ruler," Jon said.
" A letter has arrived from the claimed Queens," Harry said, passing the letter to his king.
Young Griff quickly took the parchment from Harry; opening the seal, he began to read what his aunt and niece had inscribed on it.
Maenerys opened the scroll, her lips thinning at the message.
To Lord Aegon Blackfyre, the False Dragon
After much discussions with our council, I, Daenerys Stormborn of House Targaryen, first of my name, Rightful Queen of the Andals and the First Men, Protector of the Six Kingdoms, the Mother of Dragons, the Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, the Unburnt, Queen of Meereen and the Breaker of Chains, along with my niece Elaena Icefyre of House Targaryen and Stark, first of her name, the Azor Ahai Reborn, Queen of the North, Lady of Winterfell, Protector of the North, the Mother of Dragons, Lady of Casterly Rock, Queen Regent of Meereen, and Breaker of chains hereby decline your request for our support and your hand in matrimony. With our insights from our travels, we have discovered that your claims are based on fallacies and delusions of dragonhood. We cannot ensure our safety with a Blackfyre on the throne, not to mention your rather grim repute among the common folk of the Bay of Dragons.
We are not brooding mares you can claim about; we are fierce Dragons that bow to no one. Something you wouldn't understand, you are nothing but a pretender, laying claim to a title that doesn't rightly belong to you.
Retaking the iron throne is not just about the powers that come with it but about the safety of this family, a kin you do not belong to. As for your support, we have found better allies that have served us well through thick and thin.
Give up this foolish campaign you have, bend your knees, and swear loyalty to us. Your claim to the Iron Throne is nothing but a weak string; you are nothing more than an impersonator who desperately wishes to be a dragon but will never be more than a sheep.
I urge you to think about the lives of your man; there is no reason for us to be enemies. Bend the knee, and we will show mercy to you, your family, and your men; you may go about your days in peace.
The choice is yours.... Pretender
Sincerely,
Queen Daenerys Stormborn of House Targaryen and Queen Elaena Icefyre of House Targaryen and Stark.
Griff saw red, no blood, and rage consumed him. How did they know!?
He handed the paper to Maenerys, who looked equally perplexed as her brother.
"They dare call you a fake!? You are Aegon Targaryen, Sixth of His Name, Rightful Ruler of Westeros. "
" It seems another Rhaenrya Targaryen era will begin." Harry Strickland spoke up. " If this happens, we are all doomed.l"
"Pft! There is already a Rhaenyra in Westeros, that golden shit whore of a Queen called Cersei Lannister."
" I WANT THEM DEAD!" Griff yelled, banging his fists on the table, causing it to shake. " How dare they insult me? They should be grateful I am offering them a chance to be my queens rather than be some dragon scum."
Maenerys laid a comforting hand on her brother's shoulders, trying to calm him down. " Brother, pay no mind to their words; they are usurpers. You are the true Dragon, the people's King."
Lord Corrington nodded. " Your sister is right, your grace; you are Aegon the Conqueror reborn. The people of Westeros will support you."
Griff took a deep breath, calming down a bit; he cleared his throat and spoke. " Is there any word back from the Tyrells? Have they considered our peace of terms?"
" No, your Grace, they haven't responded back."
" The Roses are desperately trying to get their precious flower Margaery to be Tommen Baratheon's Queen."
" He's a bastard." Griff scoffed. " He is no King; he is nothing but a thief just like his whore of a mother."
" And, what of our Uncles, Prince Doran, and Prince Oberyn? Have they sent any word back?" Manaerys asked.
Harry shook his head. " No, Princess, they haven't."
" I am their nephew; they ought to reach out to me soon," Griff grumbled. " After years of hiding in exile, I assumed they would welcome us with open arms."
" They don't know you, your Grace," Harry said. " You and your sister are strangers to them; perhaps if Princess Maenerys here rode on her dragon to Dorne, you could gain their support."
"A most splendid idea, Lord Connington! By the way, has anyone heard of my cousin's betrothal?"
"Trystane? Betrothed? Wow, I must send my congratulations, sister. It will be a most wonderful β"
"βhe's betrothed to Myrcella Baratheon.", Jon informed.
" How disgraceful," Maenerys mumbled. " What is our Uncle even thinking!?"
" He's desperate for peace, Princess," Jon answered. " Dorne has seen enough wars on its shores; your mother's demise was the last straw."
" We will avenge our mother!" Griff declared. " I will burn every one of those lions to the ground."
"Clegane is dead by your uncle Oberyn's hands. Apparently, that dog ventured beyond Kamakura before the Gods gave him what he deserved. Consider the debt paid with interest."
Maenerys shook her head. " No, the duty is not paid until Tywin Lannister's head is on a spike along with the rest of his bloodline."
"Are you suggesting we kill the cubs, sister?" Griff asked.
" Yes, we must wipe out the Lannister bloodline for good." She said, " Starting with his grandchildren, they are their hopes for the future."
"You know wiping them out will anger our dearest aunt, Daenerys, and cousin Elaena, right? A mother's love has its own charmβ"
"TYWIN LANNISTER COST US A MOTHER, YOU IMBECILE!"
" Princess, I would advise you to leave Queen Elaena's children out of this," Harry advised. " We are trying to make peace with her, not start a war with her."
"If not the cubs, why not the dwarf Lion's cubs." She suggested.
"Euphraise Tyrell has a temper, a dragon's temper. You don't want to see her drown the fleet to oblivion."
" She is a mere flower!" Jon huffed.
" She is half Velaryon, my Lord. Suppose the rumors about Lady Athalia's late sister are true. In that case, you will have another enemy the moment you kill her children."
" The Velaryons are made of the sea; we are made of fire," Maenerys said. " The Velaryons may have a fleet, but they don't have dragons; they haven't had them in a hundred years.
"There are such things as sea dragons, dear sister, water-spouting leviathans found in the Eastern seas. The Kamakurns worship them as deities, too."
" Our goal is the Iron Throne; Euphriase Tryell, Elaena Icefyre, and Daenerys Stormborn shouldn't be our current concern," Harry said. " We should focus on gaining support in Westeros for our King here."
" Yes, I agree," Griff said, turning to his sister. " No, more talk of murdering children; they are meaningless."
" Alright, I guess." She mumbled. " But we need to take care of our aunt and cousin. They won't bend their knee to you and accept you as their king."
"Maenerys, enough! We will take care of them in due course. For now, how about your journey to Dorne? Introduce yourself. You must charm our Uncles and be careful of that Baratheon girl."
"Myrcella? She's irrelevant."
"She's Trystane's betrothed, remember that. If she finds an ounce of suspicion from you, our plans will increase in smoke. You must charm our family, but you must charm her the most."
Maenerys rolled her eyes at how absolutely ridiculous the plan was. "...Fine.", she grumbled.
"But do not blame me if that brat 's heart refuses to be moved."
Meereen
Elaena stroked Naelasella's hair as the now crawling babe passed by her sitting form, the child giggling when she felt that sensation on her head. Little Rhaella was following her, the duo having crept in circles like a train for a while now.
"By the Fourteen Flames, aren't they adorable?" Daenerys remarked.
"They sure are.", Elaena replied.
On another corner of the chambers, Rhaego was trying to build a pyramid that he had seen in a picture book, piling up blocks of various colors. Still, some had fallen off, earning a huff from the poor boy.
Lucaelon crawled towards his cousin and picked up one of the blue blocks, piling them up from four, then there, then two, and finally, a little sphinx on top.
"Ta-daaa~"
"Hihihhi,~!" Rhaego giggled and copied his cousin's actions but placed a jackal on top.
Still, Jacaerion outdid them both, building an even giant pyramid with two other figurines decorating the second topmost part of his building and a sun disc on top.
"Whoa!" Rhaego and Lucaelon exclaimed with a few little claps.
"Pwetty!!" ("Pretty;")
"Bwight Jace!" ("Bright Jace!")
Naelasella joined in, placing mini flower pots around the pyramid. At the same time, Rhaella found tiny dolls of people, which she set beside the pyramids.
"Wook!" ("Look!") she exclaimed. The children giggled, not quite getting the hints of saying their Ls and Rs, setting instead for Ws.
Happy tears welled in Daenerys's eyes at the sight. " After all these years, my wish came true."
" And, what would that be?" Elaena asked.
Daenerys turned to her niece. " A family that I could call my own." It was only Me and Viserys growing up along with the fellow king's guards we had with us, but they all died, leaving us utterly alone."
" Viserys used to be sweet and protective of me until one day, he had to sell our mother's crown to buy food, and after that day, he turned mad." She added.
" I'm sorry." The young Ice Dragon said, gazing at her aunt in pity. " I can't even imagine what you and Viserys had to go through; it's not right."
" Yeah, Rhaegar really screwed us over in the end," Daenerys mumbled. " But, it doesn't matter; it's over now; all those years of struggling and suffering are gone."
A sudden yelp alerted the two to the sound of an opening door and the unfortunate destruction of the little ones' creations. The Old Knight gave the kids an apologetic look before clearing his throat.
"Your Graces, er... forgive me for destroying the hatchlings' little project, but there has been a response from the..." he paused, spotting the pouting faces of the children. "the bad dragons."
" What's wrong?" Daenerys asked.
" Your Graces, I'm.. sorry to tell you this... but I found this letter hidden under Ser Jorah's trunk." The Knight said, handing them the letter.
The kids crawled towards their parents too quickly, completely ruining their pyramids.
"...bad man?" asked Naelasella, who tried to understand what was in the letter. Still, Barristan picked her up and returned her to the play area.
" This can't... be... true." Daenerys rambled out, trying to find her voice.
Elaena took the letter from her head and read the concept of what was on it.
To Ser Jorah Mormont of Bear Island.
I will honor your terms with the late King Robert Baratheon; I have received word that my daughter-in-law has joined your dragon queen.
She has stolen something precocious from me, my heirs. Return my grandchildren to me safe and unharmed, and bring me the head of Elaena Stark Targaryen, and you will be pardoned for your crimes.
I will spare your dragon queen and her hatchlings from any harm.... Do this for me, and you will have peace. Refuse; your dragon queen will perish along with her children.
Sincerely
Tywin Lannister of House, Hand of The King, Warden of the West, Lord of Casterly Rock.
" That traitorous bastard." Elaena hissed.
"He was loyal only to me..." Daenerys realized.
Anger began to rise within the young Ice Dragon, her eyes began to glow an icy color. " Where is Ser Jorah now?" She asked.
Ser Barristean shook his head. " I'm not sure, your Grace."
Daenerys must have been too furious to care, but she had accidentally broken her quill, splashing the ink onto her gown.
"Oops..."
"That scoundrel had the guts to flee after he conspired with Robert Baratheon! I will rain ice andβ", Elaena screamed, only for a tiny hand to tug at her skirts. Little Naelsella looked up at her, curious about the rain.
"Ahem, I will make sure he pays for his bad deeds."
"You are not alone in this.", added Daenerys. "We will make him pay."
She turned to Ser Bareistean. " I want him found and I want him found now. Tell Greyworm to search the city top from bottom, leave no spot untraced."
" Right away, your Grace." He answered, with a bow before walking out of the room.
Once he was gone, tears began to well in Daenerys's eyes as she tried to process the news. The man she trusted with her life, her children's lives had betrayed her from the start.
Elaena pulled her in for a tight hug, trying to comfort her. " I'm so sorry."
Daenerys shook her head. " No, I'm sorry I put you and your children at risk. I let him join my ranks, I thought he could be trusted , but I was wrong."
" You couldn't have known."
" I should've had my guard up." The young Dragon Queen mumbled. " After Doreah's betrayal I vowed I would never trust anyone again."
" He loves you."
Daenerys tilts her head, gazing at her niece deeply. " Jorah doesn't love me, I was his target nothing more." He was sent to kill me."
" Yet, he didn't." The young Ice Dragon said. " I'm not defending or anything, but he loves you, Rhaella and Rhaego. He stopped you from drinking that wine merchant's poison and followed you into a towerful of mages. Maybe, he wasn't loyal to you in the beginning but he became loyal to you along the way. " She added. "I just wished he extended me that kindness."
" It doesn't matter, he betrayed me." Daenerys hissed. " He put you and your children in harm's way and for that I will make him pay."
Rhaego and Rhaella crawl over towards their mother sensing she was upset.
" Mama, sad..." Rhaego rambled out.
" Bad man..." Rhaella asked, lifting her small hand to her mother's cheek.
Daenerys grabbed her little hatchlings in her arms holding them close to her, tears streamed down her cheek. " I'm so sorry, little ones."
" Joraa.. bad man." asked Rhaego, trying to understand what's happening.
( Uncle Jorah, bad man )
Sobs escaped from the young dragon's mouth unsure how to answer her son.
Elaena placed a comforting hand on her aunt's shoulder. " We are going to make that son of a traitor pay, I promise you. By the time we're done he'll wish he was never born."
Daenerys sniffled. " Yes, we will."
Lucaelon, Naelsella, and Jacerion crawl over to their aunt joining their cousins comforting Daenerys.
At that moment, the fierce dragon queen allowed herself to cry after years of hiding all of her emotions. But, the grieving would soon be over and vengeance would take over.
ΰΏ βββββββ₯ - β₯ββββββ ΰΏ
In the ruins of Old Valyria , Euron Greajoy and his golden fleet of ships are sailing through the haunted treacherous waters as they seek out a mystical treasure, a dragon horn.
After hearing tales across the narrow sea of Daenerys Stormborn and her niece Elaena Icefyre bringing dragons back into the world, the Kraken wanted nothing more than to get his hands on one of their dragons.
Dragons were worth more than any army, with a dragon in his grasp he could finally conquer the Iron Islands from his weak useless brother Balon and take the Salt Throne for himself.
Had he been allowed to participate in the Kingsmoot, being a ship captain himself, he would be ruling right now. Unlike most of those prissy lords, the Iron Islanders chose their leaders β every time the current leader passed on, an election was held by the coastlines of Pyke. In theory, this would seem like everyone had a say in who would win, especially because as the sons and daughters of the sea, most of them were ship captains. In truth, only the noble families had any chance of winning the votes.
And for the longest time, it was the Greyjoys who held the title and seat of the lords of that group of islands β a place that should be independent of the crown's rule.
He was not about to let it all end because his pathetic nephew got his sword disarmed by a northern man .
The ruined halls of what was once the world's greatest empire greeted his eyes, blue as a stormy sky,
"Now, onto the treasure...", he mumbled.
A third of his literally speechless crew followed him towards the islands, blue-eyed boys of various ages and races. The kraken's seeds simply spread much too far, resulting in quite a bunch of children to man his ship.
Only a few meters into the abandoned palace and one of them let out an animalistic howl, starting to thrash about as he fell to the ground. Two, then three, ,then four more followed suit, ending up in an echo of painted cries and smouldering remains.
Euron ignored them all, spotting only eyeless wyrens and other strange lizards in their place, out of the corner of his eye.
He entered the halls, amazed at all of the gold the empire had left behind eons ago. He could take them all; relics of dragonlords long deceased, crowns and jewelry of rare colours, weapons made of Valyrian steelβ no,no; I already have plenty of those. What I need is the Dragon binder
He passed through massive chambers, hearing the burnt skeletons of dead slaves hearing their screams as the flames consumed them. A chair adorned with amethysts housed the bones of what appeared to be a highborn princess, her silver circlet resting on her head.
"Sweet Antikleia Tyrell, how long has it been?", he mumbled, caressing thr woman's face. " What a beauty you were, but you just had to choose that damn flower over me."
She could have been his, one of the very few people he was truly interested in. That wench Athalia ruined everything by letting her choose.
Gunthor Tyrell.
Remembering that name caused him to hiss, and touch the faint scar on his chin. That strike cost him Antikleia's hand in marriage.
He tried to have her again, only for her to burn.
The gods are Indeed cruel β that's why I don't believe in them anymore.
He continued walking, making his way into the courtyard of the castle where he found yet another pile of bones, except this time it was of a man, holding a sword in his skeleton hand.
"Gerion Lannister, ha...finally." Euron laughed, petting the skeleton head.
The kraken lowered his eyes to the sword that resided in the old corpse of the Lannister. "this will prove useful..."
He at least had the decency to wrap up the corpse in an elegant cloth. Gerion Lannister deserved to return home, corpse or not.
Suddenly, a bright light erupted from nearby, nearly making the intruding pirate drop his prize. A girl of no older than fourteen emerged from the shadows, a silver staff raided accusingly at his form.
She had unusual pallor, owning to where she lived. Euron was at a loss for words; she reminded him of a certain someone who now sat on that chair β
except for her eyes, which were an exact copy of his.
" I believe this is what you are looking for." She spoke up, giving him a playful wink.
Euron drew his sword pointing at her. " Be a good girl and give it to me."
The girl let out an innocent chuckle. " There's no need for such hostility, it's yours... take it."
" Throw it to me."
" I can't, if I do it will break." The girl replied." This is the only dragon binder here, all the others were destroyed in the doom."
"Alright.", Euron relented. "Your name, child?"
"Hygeia"
."Come, forward my brave sailor." She said, with a sweet smile. " Claim your prize."
Somehow, her voice sounded a little too eerie. Is this a trap? What if that thing is actually a fake?
Euron ignored his instincts, and approached the girl, taking the dragon binder from her hands.
Something warm crept up the pirate's face, as Hygeia's smile turned twisted.
The girl started to laugh out mechanically. " You fool... You fool." Her innocent face started to distort, as she seemingly dissolved into water
In a puff of black smoke, she revealed herself to be a twisted version of a water nymph; in place of her lower half that was supposed to be human, was the body of a kraken. Her once, straight and shining locks of raven hair were now in gentle waves and greenish, like seaweed growing in the abyss of the ocean. Purple, draconic eyes replaced the blue irises, though she retained her pallor and a part of her "human" beauty.
"Hello Father"
Her voice sounded the same, adding to the horror.
"H-huh!?"
Euron jumped back in shock and started to run towards the exit, tripping over piles of rubies in the process. He fell to the ground hard, dropping the dragon binder out of his hands. Luckily, the article didn't break
He quickly picked it up, only to feel searing heat on the left side of his face. " Ahh!!" He yelled out.
"Thank you.... For letting me live, while my mother died on that chair.", spoke Hygeia, her voice a mix of wrath and grief.
The horror only got worse for the Kraken when a massive black dragon with green eyes erupted out of the ground beneath them. Long and behold it was the Cannibal, the wild dragon that was thought dead got centuries.
Another one emerged from a cave; silver scales adorning its body, though it graduated to sea-green near the tips of his wings, and the majority of his tail. Hygeia laughed lightly, stroking the dragon on his head.
The dragon let out a screech, opening its wings out ready for flight. She climbed on board the dragon gasping onto his scales, before turning her attention to a still shocked Euron.
" You have our gratitude for freeing us, father." The young girl said, taking to the skies.
The Cannibal followed the duo taking off the skies, his wings spread widely. The Wild Dragon let out a happy screech, glad to be free after a hundred years of being trapped.
"Wait!", the pirate cried out. "What are you, really?? How were you born? Hygeia, WAAAAIIIIT!"
