Kamakura

Rickon stared out into the sea, a fearful look in his young eyes. War was on the horizon again, right after he had just witnessed the burial of his brother Robb, his mother, and Grey Wind. Over at the Northern Towers of the castle, he could hear the shrine priestesses making much noise, a custom for when their female sovereign was to give birth.

...During an invasion.

Hokuto was behind him, looking worried, though he was good at hiding it.

"So, those Lannisters want our land now? Greedy little shits."

"They are." Rickon agreed, "...except for Tyrion, Myrcella, and Tommen."

Hokuto said nothing, instead gazing at the sea, where he saw ships approaching. He turned around and placed a firm yet gentle hand on the boy of about ten.

"Stay with the empress. Fuyutsuki is preparing for battle, and he has "reinforcements" on the way."

"No, I want to fight by your side.*

"And loseย  your life because you did not have enough training? "

" Death will come for us one day," Rickon said. If I were to die, I would ratherย  die as a hero than a coward. The Lannisters have already taken my home away; I won't let them take away this place from me, too."

"You are only nine, Yoshiro." Hokuto pressed. "A samurai has skills with a sword, but he is also patient. You aren't some fool who charges towards hot water like... Clegane, are you?"

" Iโ€” no, I am not."

"Good. Then, I advise you to stay here and wait. All the skills you see the big boys do will come to you at the right time. Perhaps there is a battle for you to fight in, but it is not this one."

Rickon shook his head, hating that he was being treated like some clueless child. " I'm ready now, Hokuto."

"No, you are not. "

There was something in Hokuto's voice that made Rickon want to believe he was right. Suddenly, a blast of fire came shooting out from one of the Lannister ships and went flying towards them, causing Rickon to let out a scream.

" Duck," Hokuto ordered the man while grabbing Rickon into his arms, dropping to the ground, shielding the young wolf with his arms.

Screams erupted around them as some men got caught in the crossfire. Rickon closed his eyes, ignoring the man's cries and blasts around him.

More fire blasts came rushing towards them; Hokuto and the rest of the soldiers tried to seek cover from the attacks but found themselves trapped.

Smoke and Ash started to fill the air above them, blocking their vision and making it hard to breathe. Rickon held onto Hokuto tightly, hiding in his neck. Fear started to rise within him, and he understood the danger Hokuto had warned him of and urged him to stay behind him.

Yet, he didn't listen. Instead, he was cowardly hiding in his master's tunic, crying out in fear. The young wolf felt ashamed of himself for acting like a baby; he had desperately wantedย  to show his master the new skills he had learned and fight alongside him.

"Wolves are not cowards." He thought, remembering his late brother Robb and how he won every battle he ever faced against the Lannister yet lost the war.

As the smoke cleared, Rickon gazed around and saw the destruction around them. The battle fortress was beginning to break apart; the walls started to come down upon them. The Lannister forces were ascending on them; small boats started approaching the ashore, their red and gold banners.

He had not fought at the front lines, only running away from them like a scared pup. He had heard of Kamakura's magic barriers, but where exactly did it go when the city needed it the most?

Ignoring Hokuto's shouts, the young wolf ran from the balcony, passing by the Northern Towers, where Kyoko was having her ordeal, and skid over to the royal gardens, where he found the supernatural creatures of the nation gathering around the sacred Sakura tree.

"Excuse me, but the enemy is attacking us!"

A shape-shifting sort of raccoon looked up at him, a grave expression on his face. "We know, young wolf. Unfortunately, our established barriers were insufficient to withstand the green fire."

Rickon took a step back. Green fire!? No... it can't beโ€”

"We have a plan, but it will take a while before that ol' warrior comes out, " reassured a gigantic man with a scary mask.

"Hayate?"

"Yes. My companions in the deep sea are also monitoring the surroundings. They can distract those greedy little shits while we prepare the master plan."

"Arashi, not in front of him!" scolded the raccoon.

"Don't worry, Hokuto calls those Lannisters greedy too."

Over at sea, Tywin surveyed the waters, finding nothing extraordinary in the surroundings. "Hah, so much for magical creatures in Kamakura. Lies, all ofโ€”"

"My lord, up there!" shouted a seafarer.

Suddenly, loud screeches filled the air, and three big shadows loomed over them. Eddarion, Drogon, and Jamerion circled the fleet, flapping their wings widely.

From under the sea, three serpent-like dragons also emerged, darkening the skies as the clouds grew heavy with the promise of a heavy storm. A deep voice was heard, speaking in the native tongue of the nation. The seafarer trembled, seeing a man clad in dark blue, kimono-style robes, wielding a sort of staff.

"No invader harms my nation!"

The sea turned rough, waves moving faster than ever before. Tywin held on to one of the pillars for support as barrels of glowing liquid threatened to spill and destroy the ship. "Damn you, Cersei!" he cursed once one of the sea serpents let out a roar.

A collector scream was heard in the distance; fiveย  of the ships stationed at the very rear of the army were drowned, soldiers, wildfire, and all. A strong wind had started to blow, the glow of the enchanted cherry tree visible in the distance.

" My Lord, we should retreat." The soldier advised.

The Great Lion shook his head. " Lannisters are not m onwards!."

The Captain nodded and stirred the ship onwards but paused when he noticed three big shadows flying towards him.ย  Eddarion, Drogon, and Jamerion swooped toward the ship and opened their mouths, breathing out the fire; blue, gold, and red flames erupted onto the boats below.

The wildfire destroyed about a third of the fleet, green light mixing with red and gold, a macabre fireworks show in the storm. The local citizens, now protected by the repaired magic barriers, watched in awe as the three dragons laid waste to their enemies.

"Oh, praise the Lord of Storms!" shouted a woman.

"It's too early to celebrate!" said a voice above them.

Fuyutsuki rode his giant crow, staff in hand and a determined look in his eyes. The army of birds, led by the heads of various clans, disappeared, flying in all directions, shooting down any Lannister ship they could find โ€” all except for the Lion's Roar, the vehicle containing Tywin and his inner circle.

Eddarion, Drogon, and Jamerion continued breathing fire onto the rest of the Fleet. Rickon watched in awe from a distance as he saw his sister and Daenerys's dragons lay waste to the fleet. Perhaps there was hope for this Eassosi nation after all.

" You see, Hokuto, my sister does care." The youngest wolf said, turning to his master, who was standing there in shock at what he was witnessing, not expecting this.

A smile soon formed on Hokuto's face as he watched the Lannister Fleet set ablaze. " I believe the best part is about to happen."

Up ahead, the magical creatures of the nation, led by a superpowered Hayate, flew into the stormy skies amidst thunder, lightning, and explosions at sea. Raising both hands, Hayate produced a bluish-silver light, summoning something from the clouds above.

Then, everything became silent.

The clouds appeared to part and then reform into the visage of a typhoon, spiraling counterclockwise from a tiny "eye" of clear skies. The man in blue robes, who appeared to command the serpents, rose into the air until he was bit a speck from the Lannister's sight. He threw down his staff into the water, causing the already strong gale to pick up.

The Lion's Roar appeared to be an unstable rocking chair, only carrying multiple people. Some of the more unfortunate men were thrown overboard, showered by the seawater, and devoured by the sea serpents. Kevan was pale, trying to comprehend what sort of magical trouble he and his ambitious brother got themselves into

" Brother, we must retreat," Kevan said as he held onto the railing, trying to keep his distance.

"We have come this far, Kevan. The Suguwaras are about to pay for destroying my legacy, taking my heirs away from me."

" Lyarra Stark is the one you ought to be going after, not the Suguwaras," Kevan said. "She took your heirs from you, not them. I beg you to stop this now before we lose everything!"

The Great Lion paid no mind to his brother's words, instead shouting out orders to the Captain, telling him to continue onwards. He would be damned if he let a couple of beasts and heretics scare him away from completing his mission.

"TYWIN!!"

Keven was in the air, chained by one of the sea serpents. The man in blue robes had a nasty smile, snapping his right finger as he watched the more sensible Lannister brothers struggle against the grasp of his familiars.

"Brother, please!"

Tywin turned his gaze on his brother, watching the scared look on his face. " I promise your sacrifice won't be forgotten, brother.ย  I will take care of your wife and daughter. I swear this to you."

The Lion averted his gaze from his brother, an emotionless expression formed on his face. " Foward."

Keven's eyes widened upon hearing those words. Tyrion... oh Tyrion, if only you were here...

Somehow, as the waters devoured him, he saw not the cruel face of his brother but the vision of his dwarf nephew, from the time he was a boy, reading takes of dragons around the world.

And then, darkness.

Tywin closed his eyes as he tried to wash away the memory of his younger brother's demise. Sadness overcame him as he began to recall his brother's last words to him, begging him to retreat until he snapped out of it. Grief was weakness; he would avenge his brother soon enough.

Hayate and Fuyutsuki kept up with their attacks, shooting down the last few wildfire-filled ships. Both mages felt someone would welcome the drowned souls to the sea god's palace.

The Great Lion tilted his head up and saw the two heretics in the sky; anger began to rise within him. He spotted his brother's bow and arrows next to him and quickly picked it up. Heย  lifted the bow, placing the hand between it and pointing at the two magicians.

" DIE YOU DAMN DEMONS!"ย  He shouted, releasing the arrow. The arrow shot through the sky, upwards and onwards, until it nearly cut off a part of Hayate's hair. Fuyutsuki raised a brow as the weapon flew past him, caught only by the sea god in the sky.

"Excellent, a new staff for my new familiar."

Tywin grabbed another arrow from the ground, placing it between the bow and pointing it towards Hayate and Fuyutsuki again, firing and missing his target. Forย  unexplained reasons, he could hear mocking laughter coming from the serpents, who quickly retreated underwater at the snap of the sea deity's fingers. One of them had eaten Kevan and gotten away with it.

He reached down once more, picking up another arrow, determined to get it right the third time, placing it between the bow and was about to release it. However, before he could, Jamerion swooped down from the sky, flying towards him, golden eyes filled with the fury of a thousand stormy seas. With a lioness screech, the golden dragon unleashed a wave of scouring gold flames onto the ship.

" They grow up so fast." The sea god remarked, praising the dragon.

"And what of a certain lion?" Hayate asked with a sad smile.

"He deserves something more. I believe this new staff will be useful once I make some... adjustments."

The mages did not want to know what it was, but they felt it would be a good one.

" I believe my work here is done." The god said. Good luck, my friends."

With that, the sea god disappeared into the sea along with his sea serpents. The waves soon calmed down, and the sky cleared, revealing a magnificent sunset. Eddarion, Drogon, and Jamerion flew away, returning to their mothers, knowing their work here was done.

Ringing bells could be heard in the distance as people cheered. A smaller boat containing a joyous Rickon greeted the mages once they descended onto the shore.

"I have a baby brother, and his name is Arashi."

Before he could say something else, he felt something warm lick his face. Rickon turned around, spotting an orangeย  dragon large enough to ride.

" Meraxes," Rickon said, tilting his head up, his eyes meeting the dragons. "What are you doing here? Elaena must be worried sick. You must return to Meereen."

Hayate slappedย  Fuyutsuki on his head, making the emperor snap out of his thoughts. "Did you hear what Rickon said?"

"I did, it's just..." I can't believe I finally have a son.

Without waiting for the young wolf and his mentor, he flew towards the palace, ready to welcome a new heir.

"HEY! Wait for me!" Hayate exclaimed with joy and flew after his descendant.

Fuyutsuki laughed and sped off into the sunset, his master's protests echoing.
