It was a bright early morning, Elaena and Daenerys were sitting on top of a cliff beside Arya watching as the dragons danced in the skies with the rest of their siblings, Crystal and Nymeria laying on the floor next to them.
Eddarion, Drogon, and Dreamfrye were laying their heads respectively on their mistress's lap.Β Elaena began consoling her blue-red scaled hatchling, rubbing his forehead gently, Eddarion let out a happy screech enjoying his mother's touch on him.
Jamerion came flying towards them, laying his head against his mother's breast. Eddarion growled at his younger brother trying to push him away, not wanting to share.
" It looks like someone's trying to compete for your attention " Daenerys teases, continuing to pet her black-red scale hatchling.
Elaena glanced at her two eldest hatchlings trying to soothe them down. " Little ones, it's alright I'm here for both of you. " I love you two just as equally as I love your siblings."
Eddarion and Jamerion glanced up at their mother purring at her, they glanced at each other for a brief second and put their differences aside for a moment.
Crystal let out a howl leaning her head up toward her mistress.
" I haven't forgotten about you, girl, " Elaena said, gesturing for her wolf to come beside her.
Crystal jumped in her mistress's lap leaning her head against her chest.
Arya tilts her head glancing over at her sister's dragons smiling. " They've gotten so big."
Dreamfrye let out a screech at her mistress trying to gain her attention, not wanting to share her attention with her other siblings.
" Don't worry girl, I'm here " Arya said, reassuring her white-ice scale hatchling, petting her gently.
Sansa watched the scene, enjoying her time with Lady. The wolf was as well-behaved as ever, though its alert eyes hid its more feral nature from strangers. "The trouble of having too many pets! " she teased, only to get tackled to the ground, and her face licked affectionately by her only direwolf.
"The trouble of having only one pet!" Arya called back, cackling.
Fuyutsuki shook his head in amusement. Let the girls have fun β Rickon has chosen to return to Kamakura and Arya will have to go somewhere for special training.
A sudden powerful gust of wind interrupted Fuyutsuki's thoughts, causing him to conceal his eyes. When he opened them, he discovered that it was the result of a dragon taking flight. Viserion, the cream and gold dragon, was ascending with almost playful elegance. He stared as the dragon spun in the air, the dawn light glinting off its scales.
"Show-off!" Arya exclaimed though her laughter made it apparent that she intended no harm. Viserion responded with a roar that resonated off the rocks. Despite their humorous antics, it served as a reminder of their raw might.
Lady's ears pricked up as she watched the dragon's performance as Sansa gazed up. "They truly are magnificent creatures," she exclaimed, speechless.
Elaena nodded, her gaze never leaving her dragons. "They're not creatures Sans, they're family."
"And, a handful," Daenerys chuckled as she patted Drogon, who was still laying his head on her lap.
Just as the laughing began to fade, Rhaegal landed in front of Elaena and Daenerys, holding a dead goat in between his teeth. Eddarion, Drogon, Jamerion along with Dreamfrye raised their heads, screeching out as they smelt prey.
The hatchlings flew over to the cream and gold hatchling, joining the rest of their siblings, and began to fight over the piece of meat. Elaena, Daenerys, and Arya tried to soothe their dragons down but were met by a loud screech by them.
The commotion grew increasingly deafening as the dragons fought for the goat. Sansa covered her ears, cringing at the discordant symphony of roars and screeches.
"Enough!" Elaena's voice sliced through the air. She stood straight, her eyes flashing with determination. The dragons stopped, their gaze fixed on her.
Elaena approached Rhaegal, who was still clutching the dead goat. She placed her palm on his snout and spoke something in Valyrian. The dragon's eyes softened, and he let go of the goat, allowing Elaena to take it.
"Share," Elaena commanded, her voice firm yet kind. The dragons, even the aggressive Drogon, obeyed. They circled the goat, each taking their turn to feed, the tension from before dissipating.
Daenerys glanced at her niece in shock wondering how she was able to makeΒ Drogon and Rhaegal listen to her.Β She had tried many times to get her hatchlings to listen to her, which they did sometimes. But, other times would disobey her.
The hush was broken by Arya, who had been staring with wide eyes. "How did you do that?" she wondered, her voice full of admiration.
Elaena smiled brightly as she turned to face Arya. "Dragons are intelligent beings." They are more intelligent than we give them credit for.Β We have to be the ones to teach them right from wrong, be mothers and put our foot down sometimes when we must."
Footsteps approached behind them, a familiar male figure walked towards them. " Khaleesi, your grace, they're dragons, they can't be tamed, not even by their mothers."
They turned around and saw Ser Jorah standing behind them. Daenerys cleared her throat and spoke. "Β I know that, Jorah."
The young ice dragon on the hand didn't agree with the knight's words and spoke. " It depends on how you teach them, the old Targaryens would keep their dragons locked up in caves.Β Never properly care for them, using them as weapons for their gain like our ancestors Rhaenyra Targaryen and Aegon II Targaryen did with theirs."
Jorah glanced at the young ice dragon not understanding her point, but nodded anyway. " You are quite wise, your grace."
Daenerys got up from the floor and made her way back to camp, Ser Jorah followed behind his Khaleesi leaving the siblings alone.
Fialova, Meraxes, and Cathaena flew over toward Elaena, wanting some attention from her. Despite being the medium-sized dragons out of the group they were just as intelligent as their fellow siblings.
Elaena welcomed her other hatchlings into her arms, stroking their foreheads gently. Fialova and Cathaena lay against her legs, while Meraxes snuggled on her stomach
" Your grace, " a familiar voice said, behind them.
Elaena turned around and saw Cadal along with Andros standing behind her. " Good, morrow Cadal and Andros; how are you guys on this fine beautiful morning?
The two knights smiled at their queen and said. " We are good, your grace. " We are sorry to disturb you, but a letter has arrived for you from King's Landing."
" From whom, " Elaena asked.
"Β The high Septon of King's Landing, " Andros replied.
The young ice dragon turned back to her dragons whispering something in Valyrian, they took off to the skies joining the rest of their siblings.
Elaena stood up from the ground and walked back to the camp, Crystal trailing behind her.
Sansa and Arya followed after their sister, Nymeria, and Lady alongside them, knowing it was big news.

Elaena was in her tent surrounded by her trustworthy advisors, Sansa and Arya stood next to her.Β She ripped open the seal and read the letter.
To Queen Elaena Stark Targaryen of House Stark and Targaryen,Β first of her name, Queen in the north.
Your grace, I am glad to know that you are safe and well. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
I offer my congratulations to you on the birth of the newborn prince and princess of the north.
Lord Tywin knows you live and have given birth to his son's heirs, thanks to a drunken little lion.
I have looked over your request for annealing your marriage to Ser Jaime. I would be happy to approve of it, but Ser Jaime must agree to it and sign the papers.
Then, there is the matter of the children. Seeing as Ser Jaime is their biological father, that would make them Lannisters.
Through, you have declared them Starks and Targaryens; they are Lannisters as well.Β I would advise you and Ser Jaime to come up with some custody arrangements for the children.
Perhaps, they can stay with you across the narrow sea for half a year, and the other half with their father in Westeros.
If you can't come to an agreement, a custody battle would follow and Ser Jaime would get full custody of the children.
I don't wish for that to happen, I pleaded with you to come up with an agreement with your husband.
Lord Tywin will not be too keen on you taking his grandchildren away from the family.
Best regards,
High Septon of King's Landing
Elaena tore the letter into shreds of anger rising within her, she would never let her children be around that demon man not as long as she was breathing.
" What does it say, " Sansa asked, glancing up at her sister in concern.
" Is it a threat? " Hayate questioned, staring at his friend worried.
The young ice dragon nodded and said. " No, it's not."
" Then, what's wrong with your grace, " Cadal asked, walking towards his queen.
" The High Septon wrote me back regarding my annulment request. " Elaena replied. " He said he would approve it, but Jaime would have to agree to it and sign the paper.
" And Lord Tywin is aware that I am alive and have given birth to the triplets."
Everyone's eyes widened in shock at what they were hearing and stood there in shock.
" How could he possibly know?Β " Lord Shemul spoke up. " It was well known in Westeros to everyone, that you died in a fire.
" Lord Varys knew, " Hayate replied. " Then, he informed Tyrion Lannister on the matter who informed his wife Euphraise Tryell which reached that demon lion's ears."
Elaena let out a sarcastic laugh and said. " So, everyone knows of my children's existence then." So, much for secrecy, damn you Tyrion."
Arya glanced up at her sister sensing the distraught look on her face, she placed a comforting hand on her shoulder and said. " It's going to be okay, we're not going to let anything happen to Lucaelon, Naelasella, and Jacerion.
" We will protect the prince and princess with our lives, your grace! " Jolothan exclaimed
The young ice dragon turned to her sister smiling and turned to her army commander " I appreciate that, but I can't depend on people to protect my children. I must do so myself."
" What else did the letter say, your grave, "Β Andros asked.
"Β The High Septon suggested I come up with an agreement with Jaime, he suggested that Jaime and I share custody of the children," Elaena answered.
" Would that be such a bad thing? " Sansa asked, rhetorically. " Maybe, you guys could still work things out."
The young she-wolf let out a huff at her sister's words wondering if she would ever grow up. " Sansa, life is not a song."
Sansa turned to her younger sister and said. " I know that I'm just trying to make sure this is what Elaena wants."
" Of course, it's what she wants " The YiTosh lord spoke up. "Why would she want to continue being married to a dishonorable, cheating husband?"
" Ser Jaime is a wretched excuse of a man!"Β Cadal exclaimed. " He has cheated and broken your sister's heart, abandoned her and her children when they needed him the most."
The young red wolf glanced at the old crow who was staying quiet. " What do you think Lord Hayate, don't you think people deserve second chances?"
Hayate stared at the red wolf deeply for a split second before answering. " Yes, everyone deserves a second chance to do the right thing.Β But, in Ser Jaime's case he has been granted too many chances, your sister here has given him too many."
" Do you still love him, Elaena? " Sansa asked, glazing at her sister.
Elaena glanced up at her sister tearfully and nodded. " Yes, I do and always will.Β But,Β I'm ready to move on from the past and towards the future, meaning I have to let people from my past go. Loving Jaime has done nothing but cause me pain and misery.Β I have tried to be nothing but a good wife to him, but I was never enough for him. He loves Cersei and always will, I'll always be second best to her. "
" I have to protect my children and will always put them first. Jaime is a danger to them, he can't be around there not while he's with Cersei."
Sansa nodded understanding her sister's reasoning, yet had hoped she and Ser Jaime could be happy one day again. Hearing about Princess Mellario and Prince Doran's love story inspired her to try to fix things.
Mellario had sailed to Dorne weeks ago to try to fix things with Doran. The young she-wolf had thought if their marriage was fixable maybe her sister's and Ser Jaime's were.
But, it was more damaged than she thought it was. The Queen would always be an obstacle standing in the way of her sister's marriage.
Arya sighed as she shook her head. "That will never happen, Sansa. Elaena has made a decision that we must accept."
Elaena nodded, feeling a surge of thankfulness at her younger sister's input.Β "I am grateful for your concern, Sansa. But I've made my decision. I am ready to move on, as much as it pains me."
"But what about your kids?" What if they ask about their father?" Sansa inquired, her brow pinched in worry.
"They won't because I will never tell them about Jaime," Elaena said sternly.
Elaena turned to face her counselors, a determined look on her face. "Write a letter to Tywin Lannister, informing him that my children and I are not a part of House Lannister. Telling him Jaime will sign all rights to my children away and sign the annulment papers."
" If he does not agree to your terms, your grace, " Lord Shemul asked.
" Tell him, Fire and Ice is coming his way. " Elaena said, steely." And he can't afford me as an enemy for I will burn his entire legacy to the ground."

Β Β Β Β [ King's Landing ]
A certain young lioness was anxious as she saw the red keep coming ahead. It had been a year and a half since she had been home.
She gripped the saddles of her horse tightly, trying to remain calm. Tyrstane rode beside her, his head tilted up high and almighty, just like how his father taught him.
The young princess was happy to be home again to see her family once more. Though, didn't wish to see her brother and mother.
She was glad to see Tommen and Uncle Tyrion once more and was determined to make up for lost time.
Yet, she felt an intense dread feeling in her stomach sensing something bad would happen. What if Joffrey tries something, or Mother tries to break the betrothal between me and Trystane?
Her mother was still not happy about her decision to marry a dornishman. Claiming, Trystane would break her heart and ruin her.
" Men only want one thing from us, my little lioness; our womanhoods. Once we give them what we want, they cast us to the side after that and move on toward the new prey. Family is the only one who truly loves you, the prince will never love you. He will take your womanhood and afterward throw you away like dirt, just like your late father did to me. Her mother's words echoed in her head.
Myrcella tried to push her thoughts away, determined not to let her mother get in her hand and manipulate her.Β She knew Trystane wasn't like that, he loved her and, she loved him.
Their marriage wouldn't be like her mother's and father, it would be a happy one.
" My, lioness, are you alright, " Trystane asked, cutting her from her thoughts.
She glanced over at her prince and smiled. " Yes, I'm fine."
The Prince frowned at his lioness knowing something was on her mind. " My lioness, whatever it is you can tell me."
Mrycella glanced up at him and said. " I just hope everything goes smoothly with our families.Β Β
"Now that my aunt Elia is avenged, things will rest easy. " Trystane reassured her.
"Thank you..." Myrcella faltered. I should call Trystane by a pet name just for him. Hmmm... "Sun Cobra. "
Trystane gasped at the sudden unique alias, but he still smiled. He loved it when Myrcella came up with codes just for the two of them β his father, Doran was exceedingly pleased when he first noted their love language.
"I believe this arrangement is so... well done. Credits to you, Tyrion! " his voice echoed in the young prince's head.
Speaking of which, Tyrion and the rest of the Lannister family stood by the gates, smiling upon seeing Myrcella again.
The horses came to a halt Trystane got off his horse and made his way over to Myrcella helping her down from her horse. She could manage to alight on her own, but special times called for special measures.
Cersei had a distasteful look on her face, glancing at the sheer... audacity of that Dornish scum to hold her daughter like that. Tyrion was grinning, but his smile faded when he noticed that Euphraise was not there. He had no time to dwell on that; My sweet Myrcella is back!
The young couple made their way towards the court and bowed respectfully to Joffrey much to their displeasure. "Your grace, thank you for welcoming us to your beautiful capital," Trystane spoke up.
Joffrey glanced at the danish boy looking him up and down, a smirk formed on his face. " Of course, we are a family after all."
He turned to his sister, staring at her. " Sister, welcome home." It's been far too long, I see you've grown quite used to dornish traditions since then. He eyed her dress up and down.
"Indeed. Trystane and his people are one of, if not the most liberal people I have met." Myrcella praised, much to Cersie's chagrin and Tywin's silent displeasure.
"Liberal in what terms?' Joffrey challenged a smirk forming on his smug face.
"I believe what you are implying is inappropriate for the public ears, brother."
Great comeback, 'Cella., mused Trystane, proudly.
Cersei glanced up at her daughter disliking how she was dressed like some whore. " My sweet, don't you think that dress is a little inappropriate."
Trystane glanced over at his lioness and turned to the Queen. " Nonsense, your grace, she looks absolutely beautiful in it Like a true queen. My homeland's climate has done wonders to her appearance and character."
The Prince turned to his lioness, grabbing her by the waist, and laying a hand on her cheek, leaning in he pressed his lips against hers.
Mrycella wrapped her arms around his neck, leaning more into the kiss.
Tyrion and Tommen let out surprised gasps, while Joffrey rushed to cover his little brother's eyes (to everyone's amazement). Tywin scoffed, Margaery chuckled at the display of affection, while Kevan and Gena Lannister remained quite blank-faced upon witnessing that display.
Jaime on the hand glanced up at his niece/daughter in admiration. Gods, he wished he had that kind of courage; Lyarra would still be here, if not for his sister's machinations.
The Lioness wasn't liking it one-bit " Myrcella, that's enough now, show some decency for yourself! You are a princess, not some common whore."
"I see the cub's got fangs of her own." Tyrion teased, earning a whack on the head from Tywin. The dwarf rolled his eyes at the gesture, but on second thought, wise ol' Euphraise would probably approve of the relationship in front of him.
The couple ignored her continuing with their public affection, not caring about the reactions from their little audience. It was not until the passionate lovers heard a box land on the ground that they stopped what they were doing. Behind them rode the Red Viper himself, followed by two servants who had just placed a crate on the ground.
" Nephew, that's enough intimacy for now, " Oberyn said, smirking. " You two can play with each other later as you have been doing."
Tommen chuckled, feeling quite envious. Joffrey had Margaery, Myrcella had Trystane, but where was Shireen? He would have loved to play with her tooΒ - innocently, of course.
Cersei's eyes widened at what she was hearing glancing between her daughter and the dornish scum. " They've been sleeping in the same chambers together."
" Mother, you are overacting, " Mrycella said, rolling her eyes.
" I don't worry IΒ haven't ravaged your daughter, your grace, " Trystane said, glancing at the queen.Β " Not, yet anyway.
Tommen covered his ears; he was too young to hear that! Noticing the uncomfortable look on the boy's face, Tyrion cleared his throat. "I believe we should stop this madness, Cersei lest we forget that little Tommen is still around."
Oberyn cleared his throat, gaining the Lannister's attention once more. " I have a gift for you, Lord Tywin personally brought from my country. I think you'll quite like it, it's very unique and ancient. Perhaps it'll be a good decoration for you to hang on your walls."
Myrcella knew exactly what that meant. Glancing at Trystane, the duo exchanged triumphant smiles. "Write to Kamakura's empress when all these pleasantries are over.' she whispered.
The Great Lion's eyes narrowed at the Red Viper wondering what he could give him. " Perhaps, a poisonous snake as a pet to kill him.
" What is it? " Joffrey asked, excitement forming on his face thinking it was a Valyrian sword. For a brief moment, he glanced at Tommen's uncomfortable expression. Clever boy, you know something that I don't.
" You should send your little brother away for a moment, " Oberyn advised. This gift is not appropriate for children to see.
Joffrey scoffed at the Red Viper's words and said. " He's a lion, not a baby, whatever it is he can handle it."
"How old is he, eight? Ten? Ask yourself Joffrey, ask yourself." Myrcella replied, pleading.
"He will stay and learn, Sister."
The lioness was not backing down and glancing over at her brother. " Tommen, go inside and don't listen to what our brother says. You don't want to stick around for this."
"Euphriase would love some company. She can't bear being around Grand Maester Pycelle for too long," added Tyrion.
Tommen made a sprint for the palace, earning a rather derogatory remark from Joffrey; weasel.
" Sister, I told you before to mind your place " Joffrey hissed, glaring at her. I am the king when I give an order I expect it to be followed without question.".
"You never said it was an order," whispered Tyrion.
Mrycella scoffed at her brother, not believing he could be so cruel. " You know what Joffrey you are such a pain in my β pardon my words β arse. One day, your sins will catch up to you, just as they did to Mother's beloved dog."
" Stop both of you " Cersei hissed, glancing at her children.
" Mother, she started it " Joffrey whined.
" Of course, it's always my fault, " Mrycella said.
The queen stared at her daughter with a stern look and said." Myrcella, please don't provoke your brother."
Tywin cleared his throat, glancing at his family with a cold look. " Prince Oberyn, forgive my family for their rude interruption. "
Oberyn opened the crate revealing what was inside, much to everyone's shock it was the head of Gregor Clegane. " Lord Tywin, I want to deliver your fallen soldier's remains in person. May he burn in hell."
A rotting corpse; that was everything a man feared. Corlys Velaryon once said that history remembered names, and Gregor Clegane would be remembered as a murderer and a rotting corpse.
"You dare!" roared Joffrey, not believing his eyes. He admired Gregor Clegane; he was everything he wished he was β strong, brave, and ruthless.
"Yes, we dare," Oberyn replied cooly. "He was a criminal of the greatest magnitude. Trust me, Your Grace; not even the Jackals of Eassos would want to preserve him."
"My uncle is right. No amount of preservation will save his heart from being devoured by a crocodile-lion-hippopotamus hybrid," added Trystane.
"Crude gods, the Pentoshi have." Cersei scoffed, playing cool and not quite succeeding.
"Crude, yes, but more virtuous than you. I take it that had you perished in Pentos, Cersei, your heart will not weigh as light as a feather.."
Oberyn turned to Ser Jaime and said. " I am sorry for your loss, Ser Jaime. Lady Lyarra was a good woman; she didn't deserve to die like that.
The Queen scoffed at the Red Viper's words and said. " She was a traitorous whore, good riddance to her. May she burn in hell with Ser Gregor Clegane here."
"I doubt that, Mother." Myrcella refuted. ; She is too pure for hell."
Tyrion and Tywin exchanged rather knowing smiles, and Jaime played his part. He could not let his soulless sister know that his Lyarra was alive out there.
" She was no angel, my sweet " Cersei chuckled" Nothing but a lying scheming whore."
"That sounds familiar," Margaery mumbled, only for Tyrion to hear.
"You never had anything good to say about everyone else, Mother. Perhaps the whore is you?" Myrcella clapped back, earning gasps and a few chuckles for those "in the know".
"Now, if you'll excuse us, we desire to rest. We will have no more mentions of such inappropriate topics on Joffrey's big day, no?"
Oberyn almost laughed at the unknowingly accurate discovery. Oh Myrcella, you are too smart for your own good, just like a certain rose who spent most of her life in Old Town.
" How dare you!" Cersei screeched, almost ready to slap the smirking look off her daughter's face. Jaime held his sister back from doing anything irrational.
"That's enough madness for today; why don't we return to the castle to rest? Our guests are surely exhausted from their travels," suggested Tywin, who was furious himself,
at how the meeting turned out.
Everyone headed back inside to settle down for the remainder of the day. This visit had just gotten interesting
