J.R and I walked down the hall and turned the corner leading up to Vince's office. The walk wasn't long but the nervousness I felt was something I haven't felt in a really long time, you know one of those moments you get sent to the principal office after getting into trouble. J.R knocked on the door.

"Who is it?"

"It's me Jim, Vince I've got Sonya with me." He Said

"Bring her in."

J.R opens the door and we both enter Vince's office, he's sitting down at his desk speaking with Sunny.
Just seeing her I already wanted to go over there and punch her even more in the face, J.R saw me clenching my fist, he put his hand on my shoulder and I looked up at him.

"Calm down, okay not right now be smart about this." J.R Said

"Okay." I Sighed

"Sonya please sit, Sunny thank you that will be all." Vince Said

"Mhm." Sunny Said

I walked towards Vince's desk and she got up from the seat, Sunny and I locked eyes and we both angrily glared at each other until Vince cleared his throat.

"Sunny your excused go, I need to speak with Sonya." Vince Said

"Fine." Sunny Said

J.R and Sunny left the office, I sat across from Vince and tapped my foot due to how anxious I was.

"Sonya I'm not fan of my employees fighting back stage, in my opinion it's very unprofessional.
This is a job you come here to do what your supposed to do and we move to the next city, if you want to fight go fight at a bar or something." Vince Said

"Vince.." I Said

"I'm not done yet, look I don't what started the fight or who started it but this shouldn't have happened in the first place." Vince Said

"Sorry for interrupting you while speaking but I just have to say this, Tammy was the one who started it actually..she slapped me. And I know I shouldn't have hit he first but it was in the moment and I was heated." I Said

"You know she's thinking of pressing charges." Vince Said

"What?" I Said

"Yeah she wants to charge you with something, Tammy stormed into my office and claimed she wanted to bring her lawyers into this." Vince Said

Damn I can't stand the bitch, but she didn't have to go and press charges I mean it's not like I tried to kill her.

"So is she-" I Said

"I convinced her to drop the charges, we don't need any type of situation for lawyers to get involved over a little backstage fight that can be solved over one thing." Vince Said

"Okay let's hear it." I Said

"Tammy and I came to an agreement, she wanted to be sent home. And as for you, I decided to suspend you for thirty days without pay." Vince Said

"Suspen-Suspended your gonna suspend me and not her, Tammy just gets a slap on the wrist and I get sent home for thirty days with no pay..did she suggest this?" I Asked

"No I did and it think it's probably for the best, I know it's none of my business but it's obvious something is a little off with you. Sonya when your here, it's not like your really here." Vince Said

"I'm sorry it's just I have a lot going on in my personal life that's all." I Said

"Well you should take this time to focus on yourself,
and when you come back I hope everything is all and well." Vince Said

"Mhm." I Said

"Sorry Sonya, this happens when you don't follow company guidelines..learn from this." Vince Said

"I will, may I go now?" I Asked

"Yes." Vince Said

I stood up and quickly exited his office, walking down the hall I couldn't help but get more and more angry yes I know what I did was fucking stupid and I know that I was going to get into trouble, but I wanted her to get into even more trouble..I guess Vince still has a soft spot for Tammy.

I'm back at home alone currently laying down on my couch in my grey tank, shorts and white socks flipping throughout the channels hoping to find something to watch, that's when I heard a knock on my door. I got up from the couch and looked through the peep hole, and answered the door.

"Hey." Ryland Said

"Hi." I Said

"Okay that could have used more enthusiasm but it's okay." Ryland Said as she entered the apartment.

"Ry what are you doing?" I Asked

"Get dressed we're going out." Ryland Said, walking into my bedroom.

"Ryland." I Said

"Come on its summer and it's hot as fuck outside, plus who doesn't love a night out on the town." Ryland Said

"Come on Ry, please I'm not in the mood." I Said, sitting down on my bed.

"Sonya you've been home for about a week now, and you've only ever left this place only for grocery shopping." Ryland Said

"Because I need food duh." I Said

"Come on just one night isn't gonna kill you." Ryland Said, tugging on my hand.

"Ryland Stop." I Said

"Sonya." Ryland Said

"Now would you stop it already!, god I told you already I don't feel like going outside..I look like shit and I'm just not in the mood." I Said

"Well Lately your not in the mood for a lot of things." Ryland Said

"I'm sorry maybe it's because I opened up and let someone in and tried my hardest to be the best girlfriend ever only for my heart to be completely shattered." I Said, sniffling and trying to control my tears.

"Sony-" Ryland Said

"Oh and the icing on the cake was getting suspended for defending myself only because his ex girlfriend put her hands on me first...so excuse me Ryland for not wanting to party." I Said

"All I wanted was to just cheer you up again." Ryland Said

"I know but now is not the time." I Said

Ryland nodded and sat next to me on the bed, I leaned my head on her shoulder.

"I'm sorry you got your heart broken really, but things will get better eventually. All you need is time to focus on yourself, when was the last time you've done that?" Ryland Said

"It's been a while." I Said

"Exactly I mean for the past what three months you've only been worrying about one man, a grown ass man who is responsible for his own well being.
And worried about his feeling and never took the time to worry about you, look I know the suspension is ass but seriously take this time off. I mean this is the longest time you've been home since working at that company." Ryland Said

"Mhm, I will but I just- ." I Said

"Need to be alone I get it." Ryland Said

"Yeah." I Said

"Okay then, if being alone is what you need then so be it. I'm gonna head back to my house, Thomas will meet me over there and we're gonna go out..but I'll miss my drinking buddy." Ryland Said

"Some other time, I promise." I Said

"Okay, I'm gonna let you get some sleep..you need it."

"Mhm." I Said

Ryland nodded and hugged me, she stood up from the bed and walked out the room.

"Hey, I love you." Ryland Said

"Love you too." I Said

Ryland smiled at me before waving, I followed after her and closed the door behind her locking it. Once her car drove off I made my way to the kitchen, I lit my last cigarette and cracked opened a beer and sat in silence. I know this suspension thing is supposed to be taken as serious which I do because I don't ever want to be suspended again, but being home for a week was just what I needed.

But these next couple of days I'm gonna need time to reflect and move on, which is hard when for the past two in a half years I was so used to seeing his face and even though I don't want to admit it. I still miss him very much, I can't help but wonder does he miss me as well.
