The first couple of weeks during July is always the hottest, especially if you live in Texas. So to beat the heat I've been hanging out over at Ryland's house because she has a pool, but to also spend time with her of course. I'm currently in her pool as we speak, lounging on a pool floaty listening to music from the stereo but my moment of peace gets interrupted.

"Earth to Sonya, hello!" Ryland Said, waving to catch my attention.

I lifted my sunglasses up to look at her "Yes can I help you?"

"I was calling you for about a minute, if you turned down this music you would hear me." Ryland Said

"Sorry, what is it that you want I'm busy tanning." I Said

"I just got off the phone and I was informed that I just won a sweepstakes's!" Ryland Said, smiling.

"Really? People still do those." I Said

"Yes." Ryland Said

"Okay so what'd you win?, a new car, $5000." I Asked

"Nope but a trip to Cabo San Lucas for one whole week, how great is that?!" Ryland Said

"That's awesome Ry, so when do we leave for Mexico?" I Asked, her whole smile faded a little.

"We?" Ryland Said

"Yes we." I Said

"Oh...look Sonya, I love you but I kinda entered this for Thomas and I. You see we've been dating for four months and I was hoping to go on a little couples vacation." Ryland Said

"Oh..." I Said

"I'm sorry I didn't mean-" Ryland Said

"No Ry don't apologize okay, if you want to go have fun on a vacation with your boyfriend then go ahead..I'll be fine." I Said

"Really?" Ryland Said

"Yes look go to Mexico with your boyfriend, enjoy it I'll be fine." I Said

"Okay." Ryland Said, I smiled then looked at my watch.

"Hey I gotta go." I Said

"Where are you going?" Ryland Asked

"I gotta head over to the supermarket, I keep forgetting to buy food. And if I don't do it today, then it's another night of instant macaroni." I Said

"Ah, you can't go wrong with macaroni." Ryland Said

"Yeah, hey look I'll call you later okay." I Said

"Sure." Ryland Said

I hugged her then walked back inside her house, quickly changed back into my clothes then left.
About an hour later I arrived back at the apartment, right as I entered the place I heard my phone ringing. Put the groceries bags down on the counter, then answered the phone.

"Hello?" I Said

"Yes Hello, is this Sonya Hale's residence?"

"Yes this is she, who am I speaking with?" I Asked

"Oh Sonya it's me Jim Ross."

"Hey Jim it's good to hear from ya, how you been?" I Asked

"I've been great hope things are well with you?"

"Uh yeah things are all right around here I guess." I Said

"Well that's something, so there's a reason to why I called you. And it's about your suspension."

"Mhmm I'm listening." I Said

"Well we all had a meeting today, and your name was brought up. Since the 30 days are up which means you are no longer suspended."

A smile was brought to my face after hearing those words come out of Jim's mouth, these 30 days have been the longest ever.

"That's great, so when can I come back to work?" I Asked

"You see Monday we're going to be in Binghamton, New York. Think you can book a flight and make it?"

"Yeah I'll check the flight schedule and see if I can book a flight." I Said

"Okay then, see ya on Monday then."

"See ya, have a nice day." I Said

"You too, bye now."

After Jim ended the call I put the phone back on the handset then broke out into a little happy dance.
Don't get me wrong I was mad that I was suspended, but I'm finally going back to work because I'm getting a little sick and tired of Texas and I fucking live here.

I drove the rental car up to the arena, after three minutes of trying to find parking I finally found a spot. Parked the car then got out, opened the backseat to pull out my suitcase then grabbed my purse and made my way inside.

As I entered I felt eyes on me, not surprised since I was the one talent who's gotten suspended in a long time. But due to my surprise some superstars came up to me and said hello, on my way to the women's locker room I ran into Amy, as soon as we laid eyes on one another we ran up to each other then embraced.

"Amy!" I Said, squeezing her tightly.

"God I've missed having you around." Amy Said, as we pulled apart.

"I missed you too, how's things been since I've been gone?" I Asked

"Oh the usual and me trying my absolute hardest to not slap Sunny." Amy Said, which caused me to smile a little.

"I know how you feel but hey I don't need you getting suspended too." I Said

"Speaking of how was it, I mean I know I called but how did it feel being back at home that long?" Amy Asked, as we entered the locker room.

"Oh you know..okay I'm gonna be honest it was boring, like I was on the edge of going insane.
Most of time I was either at my parents house or Ryland's house." I Said

"Yeah she did get a house, how she settling in?" Amy Asked

"She's settling in good I guess, I mean especially since her boyfriend is over there most of the time." I Said

"His name is Thomas right?" Amy Said

"Yeah, he's a good guy..this time she really picked a good one. I can tell he really loves her which makes me happy." I Said

"So how are you doing?" Amy Asked

"I'm fine.." I Said, looking at her questioningly.

"You know since the breakup with Shawn, I remember how sad you were when the last time we spoke on the phone." Amy Said

"Honestly...don't get me wrong I'm still sad. I'm still in mourning of the relationship." I laughed a little "Mourning, why am I saying that like he died or something." I Said

"No I mean you can say that." Amy Said

"Hmm..like I said I'm just taking it one step at a time, trying my best." I Said

"That's good." Amy Said

"Enough about me let's talk about you, what's up?" I Said

As Amy and I catched up with one another for a couple of minutes before I went to go speak with Vince. The conversation was mutual, he asked how I've been since the wrongful suspension but I just gave him the usual "I'm fine" line which he ran with.

Then a few hours before the show started I looked around the arena for Paul and Joan and everyone else, I turned a corner and there he was the one person I wasn't expecting to see..those blue eyes I can spot from a mile away.

"Shawn.." I whispered to myself

Shawn was busy talking a producer while I was all the way down the hall, as he went to look my way I took it upon myself to hide behind the wall so he couldn't see me. Why the hell is he here?, I mean it's bad enough I'm still in love with him but why here, as I'm deep in my thoughts I snapped out of it when I hear a familiar voice and looked up to see Joan.

"Sonya?" Joan Said

"Joan hey." I Said, hugging her.

"Hey I'm surprised to see you back, didn't know you were coming." Joan Said

"Yeah I was planning on surprising everyone, so surprise." I Said

"Sonya it's good to have you back, I missed having you around especially when it came to the boys." Joan Said

"Yeah tell me about it." I Said

"Speaking of they are in the locker room, come on let's go say hi." Joan Said

"No Wait." I pull her back "Not yet." I Said

"Why?" Joan Said

"Because of..." I Said, peeping my head around the corner as Joan followed my gaze and it landed upon Shawn.

"Ohhh..." Joan Said

"Yeah I can't walk down that hall with him standing there." I Said

"Sonya come on you are a grown ass woman, are you really gonna hide from your ex?" Joan Asked, I gave her a pointed look.

"Now that you mention it, I was planning on it." I Said

"Look you guys broke up two months ago, and since then look at you. Your smiling and glowing." Joan Said

"Oh come on it's just the sweat." I Said, rubbing my forehead.

"So what if you think I'm gonna let you hide from Shawn especially at work, it ain't happening." Joan Said, taking my hand and dragging me from my hiding spot.

"No No No Joan, I don't want to see him." I Said, while trying to break away from her but no use she's stronger than me.

"Sonya let's go." Joan Said

"No Joanie please I don't want to." I Said

"Look he's gone alright he's not even down the hall anymore." Joan Said

I looked around and there was no Shawn in sight, then I let out a huge sigh of relief.

"Phew god that was close." I nervously laughed, Joan gave me a pointed look "Hey don't look at me like that, I mean how would you react if you saw your ex at work." I Said

"Honestly I wouldn't know how to react, but I know I wouldn't let it stop me from doing what I'm here to do." Joan Said

"I know I know it's just..I haven't seen him in two months since we've broken up, it felt like my heart couldn't stop beating due to how nervous I got when I saw him." I Said

"Sorry hun." She pulled me in for a hug, which felt so comforting "Look I know it's sucks but it'll get better." Joan Said, giving me a reassuring smile.

"I know..now can we can please get out of this hallway before he comes back, besides I want to see how the guys are." I Said

"Sure." Joan Said

Joan and I finally walks towards the mens locker room to say hello to the guys, Billy and Brian still the same dumbasses they were when I left. Sean and Paul was really happy to see me, we all catched up and the boys told me the prank they pulled on Sonny as a way of getting back at her which I thanked them for.

A few hours later the show started and the matches flowed, it came time for Sean "XPAC" to go against Dwayne tonight for the intercontinental championship, per the plans tonight we all we're going to stay backstage while Paul goes out to interfere in the match. Now the match between two guys were great, the ten minute mark passed and we all ran out help out Sean but he didn't win the title and the rock got away. But what happened next was the most shocking thing I've seen in my years of being at this company.

While Joan and I helped Sean up to his feet, I couldn't help but look over at Paul who was talking to a fan who was holding up a sign that said "Hey DX Suck These" with two arrows pointing down at her.
Paul was motioning to her show her breast, and the woman did but with her bra. But the guys yelled for her to show her entire breast and due to everyone's surprise the woman flashed everyone in the arena and everyone watching her breast, I couldn't help but laugh because I can't believe that just happened.

After the show everyone was starting to pack up and gather all their belongings so we could get ready for the live event tomorrow, as I'm wheeling my suitcase down the hall I see Joan and the guys waiting by the door which leads to the parking lot. They are all talking about something, I interjected myself into the conversation.

"Hey guys." I interrupted "What are you guys talking about?" I Said

The boys all shared a weird look, stumbling over their words. Joan rolled her eyes at them.

"We we're talking about Shawn's birthday." Joan Said

"Oh..right his birthday is Wednesday, what about it?" I Said

"Shawn's having a birthday get together." Paul Said

"And he invited us since that's our day off." Billy Said

"Okay so why did you all give me that look then?" I Asked

"Because we know that the breakup between you two is still a touchy subject." Brian Said

"So we didn't want to bring it up." Paul Said

"Guys Guys you can stop babying me, look yes Shawn broke up with me which sucks but you guys don't have to walk on eggshells around me. I'm fine really." I Said

"So you wouldn't mind if we go to his party then?" Sean Asked

"No I mean you guys have known him longer than me, he was your friend first. I have no right to tell you what to do...if you guys want to go then go." I Said

"All right then, you heard her." Paul Said

"Everything's good now let's get the fuck out of here my back hurts." Sean Said

The boys all walked off with Joan and I walking behind them, I said goodbye to them then walked over to my rental car. As I got in the car I looked over and there he was again, Shawn was currently walking towards his car which was a few cars down from me.

He stopped to take a call, not that I really cared but I wondered who he was talking to, to make him blush. As he ended his quick call he realized that someone is looking at him, and looked over to see that I was looking at him. All night I tried avoiding eye contact with him, because I felt if I looked him deeply in the eyes again a party of me would want to hug or kiss him. I broke the eye contact then started the car and dove off, but I did look back at him through the rearview window..and he was looking on as I drove off. Maybe he did miss me, who knows?.

It's a beautiful Wednesday night, since it's no live events this weekend we all don't have to work until Monday. Since I've been single the only thing I've been doing to keep my pre occupied is to cook which helps me get my mind off things, but I couldn't help but think about tonight.

Now I know that I told the guys to go to the party and I said I was fine with it which I totally am but I wish I was there kind of. I don't know if it's because I'm drunk, bored of lonely Hmm maybe it's all of the above. As I'm sitting down watching episodes of Sienfield, I kept looking over at the phone. I know it's stupid to want to call him I mean I'm still mad at him but I miss him. So I did what any drunk stupid idiot would do I called my ex. The phone rang for a couple more minutes and it went straight to his answering machine.

"Hey This is Shawn I can't make it to the phone right now, leave me a message after the tone and I'll get back to you later."

"Hey it's um, it's me I just wanted to say..happy birthday I guess..33 wow your getting old there." I laughed "I know I was um very distant from you I mean can you blame me after what happened, but If you ever hear this but I'm still full of questions, and I'm not really quite sure if I'll have enough time to ask them. But Shawn Um do you ever wonder about me? like the way I wonder about you?, I wonder if you're alright all the time. And I know it's not my place to ask anymore since we're not together but I can't just help but wonder." I Said

Then I was interrupted by the sound of someone picking up on the other end, but this voice didn't sound familiar.

"Hello? Hello? Is anyone there?"

"Hi yes um I was just calling Shawn, is he um around?" I Asked

"Oh he's around here somewhere it's a lot of people at this party."

"Right." I Said

"Look I can just tell him you called, who's calling?"

"My Name is-wait who am I speaking with, sorry I don't recognize your voice?" I Asked

"Oh my bad my name is Rebecca, I'm Shawn's girlfriend."

After hearing that person on the other end mutter those words out it's the world just stopped, I don't know how it's possible for your heart to break even more and the person who broke it the first time didn't do anything. I sat in silence for about ten seconds before responding but snapped out of my thoughts and went back to speaking with her.

"Hello Miss, you still there you want me to forward your message?"

"No it's okay just tell Shawn, Sonya said happy birthday." I Said, getting teary eyed.

"Okay I sure will, you have a nice night now."

"You too." I Said

She hung up first and I aggressively threw my phone at the couch hearing it break, I tried so hard to fight the tears but I couldn't stop them from coming down. I was so angry and so sad it felt like I was going to explode, I couldn't be alone and needed someone to talk to I put on my leather jacket and grabbed my keys and headed out the door.

I slammed my car door closed and put the keys into the ignition starting the vehicle and drove off, my thoughts were everywhere at this point. I mean are you kidding me, I know he's single and he do whatever he wants but two months just after TWO! months he's already moved on. There was a red light and I slowed the car down, my sobs echoed the car and I repeatedly hit the steering wheel which was covered in my tears.

If it took him two months to get over me that quickly, did he ever love me at all. The light turned green and I started the car, and I was driving I was blinded by a bright flash and all of sudden I feel something huge hit my car and the vehicle went spinning, then everything faded to black.
