It's finally fall which is my all time favorite season, the weather is great, the holidays are approaching and so far life's been okay for me.

Today is the day I've been looking forward to, I'm going to buy a new car. I'm looking around the apartment currently for my sweater so I could hurry up and get out of here, suddenly there's a knock on the door.

"Who is it?" I Asked, walking towards the door.

"Sonya it's me." Jack Said

"Oh." I unlocked the door, opened it up and hugged dad.

"Hey sweetheart, you ready to go?" Jack Asked

"Yeah if I can find my black sweater, I just bought recently and I can't find it." I Said, looking through the couch cushions.

Dad nodded his head and looked over in a corner behind my arm chair, he picks up something and cleared his throat.

"Is this what your looking for?" Jack Said

I turned around and there it was dad was holding my black sweater.

"It was there the whole time.." I Said

"Yeah if only you looked harder." Jack Said, tossing me the sweater.

"Very typical every time one of us ever lost something, and just like that you and Ma finds it." I Said, putting on my sweater as Dad smirked.

"That's because you kids just don't look hard enough, anyways you ready were supposed to pick up your sister." Jack Said

"Wait Ryland's coming I thought she had work." I Said

"I did to but she called me and your mother this morning, and I brought up that I was going with you to go get your new car and she asked to tag along." Jack Said

"Hmm alright I've got everything, let's go." I Said, picking up my purse.

Dad opened the door for me and we exited my apartment, and walked towards his car. We drove over Ryland house to pick her up, then drove over to the car dealership. After 20 minutes of being there the car dealer was showing us around the lot of the potential cars I want to purchase.

"See any cars you like Ms.Sawyer?" He Asked

"Um not sure..you mind if I keep looking." I Said

"Oh of course take your time." He Said, then walked away.

I walked around some more around the lot, I'm not gonna lie most of these cars aren't making me go wow. Until I laid my eyes on the most beautiful thing ever. It was an all black 1969 Chevrolet Impala Convertible, walked over towards the vehicle and placed my hand on the trunk and couldn't stop smiling.

"Hello Beautiful." I Said

"Hey I saw this nice Honda over there wanna check it out." Ryland Said

"No need I wanna check this one out right here." I Said, pointing to the Impala.

"What this thing, it looks.." Ryland Said

"Like a classic..this car screams it, and it's beautiful and all black which is my favorite color." I Said, while smiling.

"What's going on over here?" Jack Asked

"The car that Sonya wants to buy." Ryland Said

"An Impala do you even know anything about this car, the parts or anything?" Jack Asked

"Dad I know a little something or two about cars okay, but this right she's a beauty." I Said

"Wait Dad, didn't Grandpa have something like this when you guys were growing up?" Ryland Asked

"Uh yeah he did, he had a 1958 Chevrolet Impala all blue." Jack Said

"Now I remember whenever we used to go over there, it's a picture of him and grandma sitting on the hood of the car." I Said

"Yeah that's the one, god he loved that car." Jack Said

"What ever happened to the car then?" Ryland Asked

"Yeah?" I Said

"He had to sell it, we struggled a lot finically in the 50's so that's why he had to. I know dad hated it but he had to provide for his family." Jack Said

"Mhm." Ryland and I Said, The car dealer Robby, walked back over towards us.

"So Sonya have you made a decision on which car you're going to buy?" Robby Asked

"Um Robby I think I'd like to check out this one right here." I Said

"Oh you like this on eh, I'm glad you like it. Not many people would want to buy such a classic." Robby Said

"And why is that?" I Asked

"I mean look around here, new cars are being made everyday. But me I got a soft heart for vintage, call me an old timer but I love it." Robby Said

"Don't worry I'm into vintage as well." I Said

"She gets that from her mother." Jack Said, Robby Chuckled

"I bet." Robby Said

"So Sonya are you saying yes to the car?" Ryland Asked

I opened the side door of the Impala and got inside, the leather seats felt amazing and warm thanks to the roof being open and the sun. Placed my hands on the steering wheel to get a feel of it, and while I'm sitting inside the car I could just picture all the good moments I could have with this car.

"I guess I'm saying yes to the car." I Said

"Great, I'll go get the paper work and be back with you." Robby Said

Robby and Dad walked back towards the dealership, I stayed inside the car until Ryland joined me inside.

"Now that you mention it, this car is pretty cool once you sit inside it." Ryland Said

"Told you." I Said

"So are you gonna miss your old one?" Ryland Asked

"Of course I'm gonna miss him, I've had that car ever since I was 17. So many memories in there, some of my worst and best dates, that time I lost my virginity in the backseat.." I Said, Ryland and I laughed.

"Oh yeah I remember when I found your bra, stuck between the back seats." Ryland Said

"Ahh good times, but it's time to make new ones in this baby." I Said, rubbing the steering wheel.

"So what are you gonna call her?" Ryland Asked

"I don't know yet, but let's just call her baby for now." I Said

A few minutes passed as I sat inside the car until Robby and I went back inside so I could sign the paper work. Within minutes that Impala was finally mine, and I couldn't be happier. But of course I couldn't drive home yet due to my shoulder, thanks to Dad he brought her home safe and sound.

A week later post buying my new car which I can't enough of, luckily after going to my latest doctors appointment he cleared me to drive again thank god.
So I decided to get some fresh air and show off my new car, by driving over to Cade and Wendy's.

I parked my car then got out, walked towards the house and rang the doorbell. The sounds of a dog barking is heard, it's no one other than my brother's Labrador. Cade finally came to the door and opened it up for me.

"Hey sis." Cade Said, giving me a quick hug.

"Hey Cade." I Said, returning the hug.

"Come in, excuse the mess it's a lot of stuff we gotta un pack before the baby gets here." Cade Said, as we walked further into the house.

"Oh please don't feel embarrassed, I haven't washed my dishes in two days. I keep saying I'll get to them but-" I Said

"You keep procrastinating." Cade Said

"Yup." I Said

I looked around the living room which is covered in baby clothes, toys and many many stuff for a new born. The basement door opened and Wendy came into the room.

"Sonya hey." Wendy Said, opening her arms.

"Hey Wen." We hugged, but I couldn't help but look at her huge belly. "Wow I every time I see you, you keep getting bigger bigger." I Said

"I know our Doctor said I could be due any day by now." Wendy Said, rubbing her belly.

"And she can't wait, mainly because she hates the Braxton hicks she keeps getting." Cade Said

"Hey they hurt way worse then period cramps okay, all I want is to just push this sucker out." Wendy Said

"Speaking of are you nervous about delivering your first baby?" I Asked

"Uh I mean yeah, anything can happen. But as long as I have your brother there beside me, I'll be okay." Wendy Said

"Now what's up with you, how's that arm?" Cade Asked

"It's going well, I got cleared to drive so that's a plus." I Said

"Nice car by the way." Wendy Said

"Ain't she a beauty, I keep calling her baby so I think I'm gonna go with that name." I Said, sitting down at the kitchen island.

The sound of barking is heard as their dog came running into the house, via the doggy door they have on the back door. Bruce walked over towards me and sniffed my leg.

"Hey Bruce hey buddy, nice to see you again." Bruce licked my face, causing me to smile. "Mhm." I Said

"Hey Bruce get down boy, down." Cade Said

"No it's okay, I don't mind.." I Said, petting Bruce.

"It's actually time for his walk, I'll do it but Doctor said I need to take it easy." Wendy Said

"You just don't walk to up and down the block." Cade Said

"You try walking up and down the block while carrying a seven pound baby inside you." Wendy Said

"Okay those are the hormones talking I'll be right back, come on Bruce let's go." Cade Said

Cade walked over to the hooks where jackets are hung and picks up Bruce's leash. He whistled as Bruce followed him out the door, leaving the two of us alone.

"Hey I made some cake yesterday want a slice?" Wendy Asked

"What kind of cake?" I Said

"It's red velvet." Wendy Said, opening the refrigerator.

"I'll take two slices." I Said

"Okay." Wendy Said

Wendy took out the cake stand and took off the glass stand, slicing us both a piece of the dessert.

"Here you go." Wendy Said, sliding the plate of cake over to me.

"Thanks..so might I ask, since you guys don't want to know the sex of the baby which I think is insane." I Said

"Why is it insane?" Wendy Said

"Because the anticipation would kill me I would have done what Dylan and Bea did, find out and look they are having a girl..which I can't wait to see her." I Said, taking a bite from my slice of cake.

"And you'll find out just like everyone else..when this baby stops being so stubborn and come out already." Wendy Said, I chuckled and rubbed her belly.

"Hey kiddo, you might wanna speed up there's people waiting for ya." I Said

"Yeah hey I gotta go pee, I'll be back..if it's one thing I'm not gonna miss about being pregnant is the constant urge to pee." Wendy Said

I helped Wendy up from her seat, and she walked upstairs. After I finished eating my cake, walked over to the sink to clean my dish until I heard Wendy shout.

"OH MY GOD" Wendy Said

"Wendy, Wendy Hey what's going on what happened?!" I Asked, running up the stairs.

"It's the baby." Wendy Said

"Oh god..No are you in-" I Said

"Yes I think I'm going into labor." Wendy Said

"Are you sure?..maybe it's just the Braxton hicks." I Said

"No I'm sure because my water just broke." Wendy Said, we both looked down at her soaked sweatpants.

"Oh wow okay you really are in labor, okay come on let's go." I Said, escorting her down the steps.

"Wait where are we going?" Wendy Asked

"Uh to a hospital duh, or do you plan on having this baby right in the middle of this living room." I Said

"No wait we can't leave what about Cade, I'm not going anywhere without him." Wendy Said, while she sat down on the couch.

"Okay well how long does Cade usually stay out while walking Bruce?" I Asked

"Uh about five to ten minutes maybe, he usually takes him around the corner twice. There's this tree down the block, that's his favorite spot to pee." Wendy Said

"Got it." I Said, walking towards the door.

"Wait! Where are you going?" Wendy Asked

"To go get Cade, stay put and don't push I'll be back." I Said

I opened up the door and looked around the area, Cade was nowhere to be seen which made me panic more. Finally there he was coming around the corner with Bruce, I sprinted over to him.

"Oh thank god your back!" I Said, out of breath.

"Sonya are you okay, what's wrong?" Cade Asked

"It's not me it's Wendy she's-she's her water broke." Cade's eyes widen "The baby's coming you gotta get her to the hospital." I Said

"The baby's coming now?, holy shit come on Bruce." Cade Said

Cade and I ran back over to the house and we heard Wendy screaming out in pain, He rushed over to her kneeling down in front of Wendy.

"Babe hey hey, everything's going to be fine remember what Dr.Howell said deep breaths okay." Cade Said

"These contractions are a pain in my ass, they are two minutes apart." Wendy Said, rubbing her belly.

"Okay let's go, come on come on." Cade Said, helping Wendy to her feet.

"Alright wait we gotta get the stuff." Wendy Said

"Right hey sis could you go upstairs and get the baby bag, it's near our closet door." Cade Said

"Okay." I Said

Cade and Wendy exited the house as I went back upstairs, opened the door to their bedroom. There the baby bag was, I picked it up and threw the strap over my shoulder and made my way downstairs where Bruce was sitting on the couch.

"Hey Bruce I'll be back, your parents are gonna deliver your baby brother or sister..see ya bud." I Said, placing a kiss on the dogs head and walked to meet them in the car.

Finally after 20 mins of driving and Wendy screaming out in pain we all arrived at the hospital.
Cade parked the car while I help Wendy out the car, while Cade got the baby bag.

"There we go, you got this Wen." I Said, escorting her towards the entrance of the hospital.

"I just want this baby out of me..wait hold on." Wendy Said

We both stopped in our tracks as she squeezed my hands for a sec, wincing in pain must be the contractions.

"Oh god.." She let out a huge breath "How long was that one?" Wendy Asked

"About two minutes." I Said

"Cade let's go." Wendy Said

"Coming babe." Cade Said

The three of us walked inside the busy hospital, there's many nurses and doctors walking around catering to patient and families. Wendy lead us to the nurse who's behind the desk on the phone.

"Excuse me ma'am." Wendy Said

"Yes May I help you." She Said

"Hi yes my name is Wendy Sawyer, I'm currently in labor." She Said

"Okay have you had any contractions yet?" She Asked

"Yes they are every two minutes." Cade Said

"And you are?" She Asked

"I'm her husband Cade and this is my little sister Sonya." Cade Said

"Okay." She Said

"So is Dr.Howell in today, because that's our doctor and he's delivering our baby." Wendy Said

"Yes he's in today and on call, so I'll get you guys to your room and I'll page him." She Said

The Nurse pulled over a nearby wheelchair so Wendy could sit, she escorted us to their private room and we waited for Dr.Howell.

"Just breathe okay, deep breaths in and out." Cade Said, as Wendy inhaled and exhaled.

"Hey I'm make a call to Mom and Dad and let them know you guys are here, I'll be back." I Said

"Okay." Cade and Wendy Said

I nodded and left the room and walked down the hall  and entered the stairwell. I made calls to everyone telling them what's going on, Mom was ecstatic over the phone I mean this will be her and dad's first grandchild so I understand why. A couple of hours or so later Mom and Dad arrived even Wendy's parents, I sat outside in the waiting room reading a magazine just to kill the time until Ryland showed up and kept me company.

"Hey Sonya." Ryland Said, greeting me with a hug.

"Hey Ry." I Said

"So how is she?" Ryland Asked

"She's doing okay, the Doctor checked her and saw that Wendy was dilated at 9 centimeters and they asked us all to leave so she could push." I Said

"So who's in the room with her?" Ryland Asked

"Um Mom, Cade and Wendy's Mother Susan. Dad and Robert left and went to the cafeteria to eat something." I Said

"Heh not surprised, I can't believe the baby's coming. Today's the day I become an aunt-" Ryland Said, I cleared my throat cutting her off shooting her a look.

"Correction we become aunts." I Said

"Yeah Yeah I know, it's just I don't know when being around Bea and Wendy it has me thinking of the future." Ryland Said

"Really...what you want kids now, I thought you said you never wanted kids." I Said

"Yeah but that was back in high school when I sucked at babysitting because of how much it is to take care of a kid." Ryland Said

"So what's changed?" I Asked

"I guess being with Thomas and we both realized that we do what a future together. And I couldn't help but picture us married with two or three kids, now that seems like a great future to me." Ryland Said

"You got all that for dating the guy for almost a year?" I Said, smirking.

"Your just saying that because you don't believe in love anymore." Ryland Said

"You try giving your heart out just for it to be smashed." I Said

"Been there done that, look I love Tom and he loves me...who knows maybe in two or three years we might get married." Ryland Said

"You really love him don't you?" I Said

"Yeah I do, he's my dork." Ryland Said

"Mhm well at least you guys are on the same page, happy for you really Ry." I Said, she leaned her head on my shoulder.

Another hour goes by and we're still sitting in the waiting room with Dad and Robert, just when I was drifting off asleep Cade walked over towards us with a smile on his face.

"Everyone wake up, there's someone we'd like you guys to meet." Cade Said

We all got up from our seats and followed Cade back into the room, and that's when my heart skipped a beat. There Wendy was holding her baby, they were so adorable. All I wanted to do was hold them and never let them go.

"Everyone meet our baby boy." Cade Said

"Boy?" Jack Said

"I knew it was a boy!" Ryland Said, smiling.

"He's so adorable..he looks like the both of you honestly." I Said

"Thank you." Wendy Said

"So you want to tell us the name sweetheart?" Susan Ask

"Yeah?" Laurie Said

"Okay so we both agreed that if it was a boy, we would name him Carson Alexander Sawyer." Wendy Said

"Carson because that's Grandpa's first name, and Alexander because that's Wendy's grandfather's first name as well." Cade Said

"Aww that's so sweet." Laurie Said

"Carson Sawyer, I love that." Ryland Said

"Hi Carson, aren't you so cute." Susan Said, gently touching the baby's head.

As everyone looked over at Carson, I couldn't help but think to myself and about my future. I know I definitely want kids, two maximum a boy and a girl.
Let's just hope it's with the right person, and hopefully the love of my life but who knows life is unpredictable.
