Three months into the new year and so far my life has been a bit better. Last month my brother Dylan
and his wife Bea, welcomed their daughter Katie.
And she couldn't be more beautiful, when I'm not spending my days being around my niece and nephew, I've been busy rehabilitating my shoulder.

Earlier in the day, during my appointment at my physical therapist, I just got the best news I could possibly have gotten in a long time.

The new was that my doctor finally cleared me, which means that I'm a couple of steps closer of getting back in the ring which I miss dearly.

I turned down the radio in the Impala, and turned the corner on the block where sisters house is. I gripped on the steering wheel, and parked the the car in front of my sisters house.

I then got out the car and made my way towards the house, knocking on the door within a few seconds later Ryland opened the door.

"Hey you." Ryland greeted, giving me a hug.

"Hey, nice haircut." I Said, gesturing to her now short hair.

"Oh thanks, I wanted to try something different." Ryland Said, as she closed the door behind me.

As we walked further into the house, I looked around at the fully furnished house, I nodded on impressed.

"Finally the living room looks complete." I Said

"Thanks thanks to Thomas, he's better at decorating than me." Ryland Said

"Oh yeah we know, remember when you wanted to paint our entire room yellow ugh." I Said

"What's wrong with yellow it's such a pretty color." Ryland said in defense.

"Eh." I shrugged my shoulders, "It's okay but come an entire yellow room, that's too much."

"Shut up." Ryland Said, as I smirked at her.

The back door suddenly opened and in came Thomas, and their new dog Freddy.

"Hey Sonya." Thomas greeted, smiling.

"Tommy always nice to see ya, now please tell me you have something to eat I'm starving." I Said, making my way towards the kitchen.

"Hey you know the more you eat our food, I might have to charge you." Thomas Said, as I scoffed.

"Please my sister doesn't mind." I opened the refrigerator, "Wait you keep your Cheez-it's in the refrigerator?" I questioned

"No I didn't, he does." Ryland Said, pointing over to her boyfriend.

"What I've always done that, and it's nothing wrong with that." Thomas Said, as I chuckled.

"Okay, besides that I have something important to tell you guys and your the first to know." I Said, smiling sheepishly.

"What is it?" Ryland Questioned

"Well..you know that I had a doctors appointment, for my update on my shoulder." I explained, "As he was checking out my arm, he was throughly impressed with my healing process."

"So this means..." Thomas Said

"It means that I've just got cleared!" I Said, excitedly.

Thomas and Ryland's eyes lit up in surprise, they immediately congratulated me and hugged me which I returned.

"Congratulations Sonya." Thomas Said

"Oh my god, this is so exciting wait when can you go back to work..Monday?" Ryland Asked

"Well I have to speak with the higher ups and the WWF doctors first, but I'm hoping in the next couple of weeks I'll be back in the company." I Said

"That's great I mean this is the best thing you've could've heard all month." Thomas Said

"Exactly." I Agreed

"So when are you going to start training again, I mean you haven't exactly wrestled in a long time." Ryland mentioned

"True, I guess I just have to find a wrestling school out here and start training again." I Said

"Oh you say it like it's that easy." Thomas Said, taking some cheez-it's from the box.

"It's not, finding a wrestling school out here in Austin isn't exactly easy...wait a minute, I have an idea." I Said, rising a brow.

"What?" Ryland Said

"I think it's time to call up an old friend of mine from the past." I Said

Later on that night I rummaged through some old numbers I had in my call log, and I came across one of my old trainers, Trevor, from when I was a teenager.

After him finally picking up the phone, Trevor and I got to talking and catching up. I brought up if he's still training at his wrestling school out in Kansas, which he said no because luckily he has a wrestling school out in San Antonio.

Before I could agree to go over and train with him I had to go meet with Vince and the WWF doctors to get the okay from them as well. And after about two hours of talking and doing some last minute things, I was officially cleared by the medical team.

About a week later after all the meetings I've had with all the doctors I needed to give me the okay, I decided to go train with Trevor. After a two in a half hours drive, I finally made it to his wrestling school.
I parked my car in the parking lot area, and made my way towards the building.

As I opened the door the smell of sweat immediately hit me in the face as I entered. Looked around and there was many young men and women around, some inside the wrestling ring and some talking amongst themselves. One of the young kids stopped talking to their friends and their eyes lit up once they saw me.

"Holy shit it's her!" The brown haired girl said

"Oh my god, it's Sonya Sawyer."

The group of young adolescents all turned to me and rushed to me in excitement, I greeted them all. The sound of a door slamming in the back is heard, I looked pass the crowd only to see Trevor.

"Yo!" He yelled, "Relax guys, Ms.Sawyer is a guest here today so I want you guys to treat her with respect." Trevor Said

Soon they all got quiet and backed away from me, he looked at all his students and shook his head at them. He looked at me trying to come off like some tough guy, but he couldn't help but smile once he saw me.

"Hey Sony." Trevor greeted, then embraced me with the biggest hug lifting me off the ground.

"Trev, god it's been too long." I Said, as we pulled away.

"Oh come on four years ain't that long. Besides a lot's happened to you since, I say getting signed to the WWF which I'm proud of you by the way." Trevor Said

"Thank you." I smiled

"Now since you've got the okay, you ready to get back in the ring?" Trevor Asked

"Ready as I'll ever be." I replied, as Trevor nodded.

"All right you know the drill, let's start off with some simple drills before we get to the hard stuff." Trevor Said

"Mhm." I Said, as I nodded.

"All right everyone let's go!" Trevor Shouted

I put my bag down on the nearest bench, and quickly re-tied my shoelaces then walked over towards the ring. For the next three hours I had fun going over so moves and learning some new moves thanks to Trev.

I was a little hesitant at first since it was the first bump I've taken since last year but once I kept taking those bumps over and over again, my
worries went away.

And honestly it felt nice to train with his students, seeing these young and hungry kids train this hard for a dream that they've been dreaming of for however long felt really nice to watch.

After the training session I of course thanked Trevor for being so kind and helpful, and trust me I'll definitely be going back. After the long drive back to my apartment, as soon as I entered and closed the door behind me my body immediately collapsed to the floor.

"Oh if I wanted to I could just lay here all night." I muttered to myself.

But before I could take a minute to enjoy myself, the sound of my house phone ringing went off. I groaned in annoyance and crawled my exhausted body over to the end table near the couch and took the phone off the handset.

"Hello." I Said, with a since of annoyance.

"Nice to see that attitude is still there."

I immediately sat up after hearing that tone, that voice I haven't heard in months or wasn't expecting to hear from in a while.

"David Morning, is that you?" I Asked, raising a brow.

"Guilty as charged." David Said

"Well Mr.Morning can I ask why are you calling me so late?" I Asked, twirling my hair.

"Oh you know, just a friend catching up on his friend." David Replied

"Really, because I would have thought you would have forgotten about me by now..I mean you didn't even wish me a happy new years." I Said, smirking.

"Hey the phone works both ways sweetheart."

"Yeah I guess that's true." I Said, shrugging my shoulders.

"But I'll tell you what..let me make it up to ya, you wanna hang out this week?"  David Asked

"Uh..your in Austin?" I Said

"No. But I will be, me and the guys are recording for our new album coming out later in the year. So we have some studio time near Austin, and there's this party tomorrow-"

"A party, wait tomorrow?" I Said

"Yeah, it's our manager, his birthday is tomorrow and I was wondering if you'd like to come with me?"

Now I haven't hung out with David in months, but the last time we were together I did actually enjoy myself.

"Well I wouldn't pass up a party, besides it's been way to long since I've been to one." I Said

"That's what I like to hear, okay Sawyer I'll see you at nine."

"Wait you remember my address?" I Questioned

"Yeah of course, plus my driver is good at remembering addresses for me." He Chuckled, "He'll just tell me, but anyways I gotta get outta here, but I'll see you tomorrow, night pretty lady."

"Goodnight David." I hung up the phone, and sighed, "Damn it..what the fuck am I going to wear." I mumbled, then laid back down on the floor.

The next morning I got up early to do my morning run, I don't do it every day because one I get lazy at times and sometimes I just don't feel like it. But I figured why not right, after that I got in my car to drive downtown to shop for an outfit because I swear to god if I wear the same heels and dresses one more time I'm not going.

But I found a cute boutique and shopped from there, I didn't get anything to flashy but definitely something cute and casual which is my favorite clothing type.

The time was around 6:30 and I just finished eating the McDonald's I got on the way back home, since I've only got two hours left I'm gonna take this time to get ready and take my sweet time.

After my 20 minute shower which took longer due to me shaving my legs, I haven't really gotten to do that lately since it's winter but I figured tonight would be a good night to do so. Outfit of choice tonight is my new white corset top and new jeans, which I decided to pair with my grey blazer and new black boots.

As I'm putting on some last minute touch ups to my make up, I hear a knock at my door and looked over at my alarm clock which read 9:10 pm.

"Shit." I huffed, then closed my lipstick, "I'll be there in a sec."

I stuffed all the important things I needed into my purse, like my phone, gum, keys, lipstick and some change. I then left my room shutting of my bedroom light, walking over to the front door looking through the peep hole then unlocked the door to be met by him.

"Hello Mr.Morning." I Said, smiling.

"Well hello to you Ms.Sawyer, don't you look nice." David complimented.

"Thank you, and you look nice as well." I Said, looking at his outfit.

"So you ready to go, we've got a long night ahead of us." David Said, as I closed my door behind me locking it.

"Yeah sure, question where exactly is this party..and please don't tell me it's a surprise." I Said, as we walked towards his car.

"Oh don't worry it's only a few minutes from here actually. We rented out this nice mansion to throw him this big party." David explained

"Whoa wait, we're partying at a mansion?" He nodded at me, "How did you guys-" I Asked

"Don't worry it's a family friend of our guitarist, he said we could use the house so yeah that's where the party is. Now are you done asking questions or are you going to get in the vehicle?" David Said, while holding the door open for me.

"I'm done asking questions for now, but yes I'll get in the car." I Said

"After you." David Said, as I got into the passenger side.

He closed the passenger side then made his way over to the drivers side, he put the keys into the ignition starting the engine and then we drove off.

He was right the drive from my apartment over to this apartment wasn't long, I'd give it 20 minutes top. Once the car drove up the long driveway, I looked out my window up at the beautiful white mansion. I couldn't help but look in awe at the house, I've never been to an mansion before so yeah this was definitely something cool for me to see.

"And we are here." David Said, as he parked the car.

I unbuckled my seatbelt and looked around and saw the many expensive cars parked out front.

"A lot of cars, who's here?" I Asked, curious.

"Oh you know some friends, family and more friends.." David trailed on

David and I both got out the car and walked towards the large house, he opened the door for me and once we entered I was immediately hit with everything all at once, with loud music playing, drinks everywhere, as well as tons of people dancing and talking amongst themselves.

"You guys sure know a lot of people." I Said, looking around.

"Yep, hey come with me there's people I want you to meet." David Said, as he placed his hand on my lower back and led me towards the direction we were going in.

As me we made our way through the large house through the large crowd of people, we made our way towards the kitchen area. His smile lit up, as he approached his friends.

"What's up guys." David Said

"Look who here's finally, hey man."

"Sup Man."

"Guys there's someone I'd like you to meet, meet Sonya." David greeted, as I waved to all of them.

"Hey." I Said, smiling.

"Oh shit now I remember she's the chick you took on a date back in November," They all chuckled, as David rolled his eyes, "Wow I think your the first girl to turn him down, I love that. I'm Trent by the way." He greeted, shaking my hand.

"Trent, okay." I Said

"He's our lead front man of the band." David Said

"I'm Atticus, I play the keyboard." He Said

"Oh that's cool, I've always wanted to learn how to play." I Said

"Maybe I can teach you sometime." Atticus Said, then winked at me as he took a swig of his beer.

"Never mind him, the only thing he's good for is grossing people out at times. I'm Richard, I play the drums." He Said

"I'm Robin, I'm the Rhythm guitarist.." He Said, while downing his drink.

"Which means he's second when it comes to me since I'm the lead guitarist." David Said, smirking as Robin playfully shoved him.

"Shut up man." Robin Said

"I'm teasing you know I love you." He kisses his forehead, "See now you've met everyone, don't worry if they get annoying let me know so we can bail." David Said, as they all chuckled.

"No it's okay, they don't seem annoying." I Said

"Oh trust me when Atticus gets hammered, he talks way to much." Richard Said

"No I don't." Atticus Said in defense

"Yeah you do." They all said in unison.

"Sometimes I just want to duct tape your mouth shut dude." Trent Said

"Whatever," He scoffed, "I'm going to go hang out with people who enjoy my company. Nice seeing ya." Atticus Said

"Ah come on Atticus, we love your company." Robin Said

"Yeah you're like the annoying baby brother we always wanted." Richard Said, as they went back into the living room area.

"I'm gonna go and leave you two alone, Sonya it was nice seeing you..hope to see you again." Trent Said, as he picked up his beer and walked towards the crowd.

"You guys are one big dysfunctional family," I laughed, "I love it." I Said

"Yeah it's something like that, hey you want something to drink?" David Asked

"Sure got anything strong?" I Asked, as David looked at me.

"Ah I see we're letting loose tonight are we." David Said, as picked up a cup and bottle of tequila.

"Yeah why not, I mean I've been taking a break between drinking so much. But yes I would like something strong because I deserve it." I Said

"Yeah and why is that?" David Asked, pouring the strong liquid into the red solo cup.

"Because as of last week I'm officially cleared," David's brows raise in surprise, "Yup I can officially get back into the ring." I Said

"Oh shit Congratulations," He handed me over the cup, "Here's to the big comeback." David Said, holding up his cup.

"To the comeback," We clinked our cups together, and took sips, I grimaced at the strong taste. "Mm."

"Yeah that's some good strong shit right there." David Said, as I nodded.

"Oh yeah now that I've gotten that out the way, hand me a beer Morning." I Said, pointing to the cooler nearby.

"Okay." David Said

He handed me over the beer that I took the cap off with my teeth, and spat the cap into the garbage can.
Throughout the night David and I we're almost joint at the hip, either when we were dancing together or sharing a drink.

Then there were times when he would walk off to go hang with his band mates which I didn't mind at all.
While he was busy chatting with his friends, I somehow found myself in a conversation with a two super models, Chelsie and Kelly who were super nice to me.

"Whoa whoa so your like a professional wrestler, like you actually do that?" Chelsie Asked

"Yeah." I Answered

"Wow, so what's that like?" Kelly Asked, curious.

"Well it's definitely nothing compared to what you both do, but it's a fun job at times. And sometimes it can be stressful, due to my boss." I Said, taking a sip from my cup.

"Oh trust me I understand that part of dealing with a stressful boss." Chelsie Said

"Yeah there was this one time, we had this fashion show to attend and our boss was being the absolute worst that day. I mean we both nearly walked away, but Chelsie calmed me down and reminded me why were doing this." Kelly Said

"And that's because we love modeling and we've always admired the job." Chelsie Said

"Hm, that's really sweet that you did that." I Said

"Thanks," She looked down at her watch, "Oh shit it's almost 1 am." Chelsie Said

"Oh right we've got a busy day tomorrow, and have to get up at 7 am." Kelly Said

"No that's okay you guys can go on I'll be fine." I Said

"You sure?" She asked, I nodded, "Okay I'm gonna get the car ready, thankfully I didn't drink tonight." Chelsie Said

"Okay, it was nice meeting you Sonya." Kelly Said, as she gave me a quick hug.

"Aw you too, good luck with everything." I Said, as I hugged Chelsie.

The two women made their way towards the front of the house, as I looked down at my empty cup and sighed. The music in the room started to annoy me a little, I think it's just cause I'm drunk, so I looked for the nearest exit which led me to a porch near the backyard. The windy cold air hitting my skin felt so nice, as I sulked in the night air I felt a tap on my shoulder, only to be met by David.

"Hey you." I Said

"Hey, what are you doing out here?" David Asked

"Oh I had to get some air that's all, plus that smell of marijuana was getting to me." I chuckled

"So you had fun tonight?" David Asked, as I nodded my head looking at him.

"Yeah I did, I mean my plans this weekend was to just sit in my apartment in my pajamas and watch the breakfast club for like the hundredth time." I Said, shrugging my shoulders.

"Well your welcome because I just saved you from a very boring weekend, I mean partying with a bunch of rock stars is way more fun." David Said, nudging me with his elbow.

"Yeah I guess, hey can I ask you something?" I Said

"What?" David Said

"Why'd you asked me, I mean out of all the girls you know..why bring me?" I Asked, raising a brow.

"I say why not, I mean come on..from the last time we hung out I really liked being around you." David Said, as I scoffed.

"Please come on I mean we had one date, that was months ago." I Said

"So..." David Said

"So what your telling me you didn't meet someone else since November?" I Asked, crossing my arms.

"Yeah I did, her name was Ronnie. She was pretty cool but I just didn't see it going anywhere. So when I heard when we were heading to Austin, a pretty brunette from Austin came fluttering through my mind." David Said, smirking at me.

"So what you just ended things with that Ronnie chick for me?" I Said, as David moved closer to me.

"Yeah of course I did, Ronnie and I didn't have what we have." David Said

"Which is..." I Said

"Chemistry, I mean I knew it from the day I met you at the restaurant down town. But I backed off because you told me you were still in love with that other guy." David Said

"There's no other guy, not anymore." I Said

"Oh really, so I'm assuming you guys spoke." David Said

"Yeah we did, the last time I spoke to him..I found out he proposed to the girl he dated right after we broke up." I Said

"No way." David replied, as I nodded my head.

"Way, last thing I heard is that they got married like two weeks ago.." I Said, as David held my hand.

"I'm sorry." David Said

"No don't it's okay..I don't..love him anymore, besides someone else has my attention now." I Said, caressing his chin.

"Yeah..do I happen to know him?" David Asked, as I smiled.

"You are him stupid." I Said, as I started blushing.

"Hmm, you know if I'm being honest this whole night..I've been keeping myself from trying to kiss you, but..now that's the only thing I want to do." David Said, looking down at my lips.

"So do I." I replied, in a whisper.

David and I slowly leaned in as our faces got closer, I placed my lips onto his which felt so soft. He then deepened the kiss, and I was expecting this to turn into a make out session but instead this kiss felt different, the more and more we kissed each other it turned passionate and sweet.

As we pulled away and both our eye met, I couldn't help but smile at him. I mean I can't believe this is happening right now, a year ago here I was in a tough spot in my previous relationship not happy.
And here I am right now, getting butterflies and feeling nothing but happiness from a guy I didn't expect to feel this way for, so far I'm enjoying this year I can say that.

A / N : Heyyyyyy my loves I'm backkkkk, oh have I missed this book I'm sorry for taking a hiatus. Trust me I didn't forget this book, I was just struggling so bad on how to write this one.

I've rewritten this chapter at least like ten times, and I still don't know if I like it. But guys Sonya is officially moving on, don't get me wrong I miss her and Shawn together but I wanted to explore a new chapter in this book with her. I hope you guys like this new direction I'm going in, but don't worry she and Shawn will definitely speak again..just not for a while...
