This lovely evening I've decided to spend it in my apartment for once, cleaning up some leftover birthday decorations for my little get together I had for my 27th birthday, also getting ready for the new year, which I always look forward to because If I'm being honest with myself this year definitely wasn't the best for me, who knows hopefully 1999 will be better than 98.

As I sit on the couch ready to enjoy the next hour on it, and binge watching reruns of Friends the sound of my telephone ringing echoes. I leaned over to take the phone off the handset, and answered.

"Hello." I Said

"Hello Sonya, this is Vince." He Said on the other end.

"Oh.." I Sat up straight on my couch, turned down the volume of my television. "Hey, nice to hear from ya, uh what can I do for you?" I Asked

"Today we were having a meeting about certain talent, and your name came up in discussion and I realized that your contract is coming up." Vince Said, as I nodded.

Ah yes the contract that I had signed two years ago, wow I can't believe it's been two years since I've been in this company. So much has happened since.

"Yes I'm aware." I replied

"I'm glad you are, so I was wondering if you would like to attend raw this Monday and we could go over discussing your new contract."

Honestly I'm surprised he's willing to resign me, I mean after all that's happened this year with the Shawn drama, the backstage altercation with Sonny, and the wrongful suspension. Yet he still wants me employed.

"Sonya?..hello Sonya are you there?"

"Yes I'm here sorry, uh yes sure I'll be there sir." I Said, smiling.

"That's great, okay the show this week will be taking place in Albany at the MVP arena. Okay?"

"Got it, I'll see you on Monday." I Said

"See you Monday." Vince Said, then hang up.

I put the phone back on the handset, I'm actually kinda happy to be going back to work and it's the last Raw of the year, I've been keeping up with the product as much as I can, but this was the calling I needed to get out the house.

After booking my ticket to Albany and about a five hours drive I finally arrived. Got me a quick ride to the hotel I'm staying at, relaxed for a bit after the flight.

The longer I laid on this big comfy hotel bed, my eyes started feel heavy then next I knew I was asleep..for like ten minutes. Woke up and looked over at the alarm clock, which said 1:50 PM, luck for me the time we have to arrive at the arena is 3:00, but I still want to be on time.

I got up and adjusted my clothes quickly and changed my shoes, took off my white vans and switched them for my heeled boots. I took a quick look in the mirror, checking myself..nodded at my look as I pleased with it, then headed out the door.

When I made it downstairs to the lobby, as I exited a the hotel thankfully there was a person getting out of the cab, so I got in right after they exited the vehicle and told the driver the location of the arena, then I sat back and enjoyed the ride.

About twenty five minutes later I finally arrived at the MVP arena, thanked the cab driver and handed her the money and got out. One of the producers, Jim Cornette met me towards the back of the building where the talent usually enter. I greeted the man, then entered inside.

As I continued entering the building, some of the wrestlers that were around came up to me, wrestlers like Mick Foley, Mark Calloway "Undertaker", Matt and Jeff. I made some small talk with them, then made my way towards the catering area and I saw a certain red haired woman, slowly walked over to her and put my hands over her eyes.

"Whoa, what the hell..who's this?" Amy Asked

"The only chick you once showed that you can belch the entire alphabet." I Said

Amy immediately turned around and looked up at me, that sweet smile I missed creeped up on her face. She got up and we embraced.

"Sonya, hey." Amy Said

"Hey Ames." I Said

"So what's up?" Amy Asked

"Oh I'm here to negotiate a new contract with Vince." I Said

"It's up already..hmm that was fast." Amy Said

"I know right, we'll actually my contract expired in October, I just added an extension on it. But Vince wants me to resign." I Said

"Hmm are you actually going to resign, I mean..with everything that's happened this year." Amy Said, as I shrugged.

"Yeah I mean..why would I leave, I feel like there's still so much I haven't done yet. And that's winning the women's championship." I Said

"I know you what you mean." Amy Said

"But if I'm being honest I rather face you for the title than Sable." I Said, as we both chuckled.

"Me and you both." Amy Said

"Sonya."

The familiar voice of a man gets closer, I turned around and there was Patt Patterson. Patt's always a pleasure to see, he gave me a quick hug which I returned to the older man.

"How are you Sonya?" Patt Asked

"I'm..okay Patt, truthfully..I'm doing just fine." I Said

"And that's shoulder, how's that going so far?" Patt Asked

"Healing nicely, therapy is a mixture of both good and annoying. I just miss being in the ring, and being at work." I Said

"We miss you here as well, oh and there's a reason I came over to see you..Vince would like to speak with you." Patt Said, as I nodded.

"Okay I'll be there." I looked over at Amy, "I'll catch up with you later Amy." I Said

"Sure." Amy Said

Patt and I walked half away around the building leading me to Vince's office in the arena. When we arrived, Patt knocked on the door and I could hear from inside Vince telling us to come in.

He opened the door for me and I walked in first, to be greeted by Vince. Patt left us two alone in the office, he gestured for me to sit which I did.
Now the meeting we had wasn't too long or too short, we got down to the important stuff which was important, such as my salary.

Now if Vince did want to keep me, I wanted to be paid a bit more nothing too crazy but just a better salary than what I was making these past two years, which was around 40K, but Vince offered me a new salary of 90K with a which I gladly accepted.

And they more we talked some more important stuff came up, like about future plans with me when I return back to company which involves a storyline with the title, I don't wanna get to excited because in wrestling plans can change but we'll see when we get there.

So after about thirty minutes or so of talking, Vince handed me a pen and slide over the contact. I looked down at the paper, with the big printing of World Wrestling Federation and I didn't think twice of resigning with the company. Because when I eventually do come back, I want to be a better version of myself than I could be.

"And we are done." I Said, handing him back his pen.

"Ah thank you Ms.Sawyer, thank you for taking the time out of your day to speak with me." Vince Said

"No problem sir." I Said

"Now if you'll excuse me, I have to meet with the writing team to go over some things for tonight's show. Stick around and enjoy the show." Vince Said, as we both stood up from our seats.

"Mhm I will sir, see you later." I Said, sending him a small smile.

Vince opened the door for me, and I thanked him then we both parted ways. For the remainder of the afternoon I hung around Amy and Joan, who I missed being around, and of course I miss Paul, Sean, Billy and Brian but I missed my girls a bit more.

I'm currently sitting in catering with Amy and some of the other superstars backstage, watching the last couple minutes of the final show of this year. Now over the past few months I've home, I've been up to date of what's going on in the company storyline wise.

Now tonight's biggest story is Vince is going to fire Shawn via storyline. I knew going to this show I was jinxing myself into running into him, but I wasn't just going to reschedule this meeting with my boss just 'cause I'm anxious of running into my ex again.
I leaned back in my chair, and I felt someone tap me on the shoulder. Looked up and it was Amy.

"Hey, how'd the meeting go?" Amy Asked, as she sat right next to me.

"It went really well, we talked out a few things.." I Said

"So how long ya got, how many years..or are you leaving." Amy Said

"Looks like I'm staying..five more years to be exact." I Said, as a smile creeped up on her face.

"Yay! you're staying!" She exclaimed, embracing me.
"This is great, because I just signed a new five year deal." Amy Said

"Look as long as I have my best friend with me at work, I'll be fine." I Said

"Good." Amy Said

As we continued talking the sound of a familiar theme song is heard, Amy and I both look up at the monitor in the room and there he is, Shawn is walking down the ramp as Vince is waiting for him in ring. Amy looked over at me, reached for my hand giving it a gentle squeeze.

"You okay?" Amy Asked

"Yeah, I'm fine..just watching the segment that's all." Amy squinted her eyes at me, that's her way of telling me "yeah right", "Ames I'm fine, let's just watch the last five minutes of the show please." I Said

"Okay, uh Sonya..while I was on my way here to come see you I found out something." Amy Said

"What?" I Said

"When I was talking to Matt and Jeff earlier in the parking lot, we all saw Shawn arrive to the arena." Amy Said

"Yeah and?" I Said, not really getting where she's saying.

"Well he didn't arrive alone.." I turned my head at her, she gave me that look. "He came with her." Amy Said, as I let out a sigh.

"Seriously..she's here." I Said, in annoyance.

"Yep." Amy Said

I rubbed my fingers throughout my hair, going deep into my thoughts. Just why? that's all I kept saying in my head.

"Look I understand if you hate her, but please no fighting...I know you have a temper." Amy Said

"Jesus Amy, I'm not going to hit the damn girl..and no I don't hate her." I Said

"You don't?" Amy Said, as her brows furrowed.

"No I don't hate her..I barely even know the girl, besides it's not like Shawn cheated on me with her..it's just.." I Said

"He's with her." Amy Said

"Yeah..so was she pretty?" I Asked

"Sure..but your more beautiful." Amy Said

Amy scooted her chair over and leaned her head on my shoulders, which made me smile for a bit. Just the simple affection of her, makes it better at times.
As the segment came to a close of Shawn getting "Fired" by Vince, which resulted in him getting a nice looking sweet chin music to the face.

Everyone got up and left catering, Amy and I headed back to the women's locker room so she could get her stuff. Turns out shes going to book a room at the same hotel I'm staying at, I get up from my seat in the little cubby and tosses my bag over my shoulder, adjusting my jeans.

"Hey Amy, I'm just gonna wait for you outside." I Said

"No that's okay, I'll see you in a bit." Amy Said

"Kay." I Said

I walked towards the locker room door, and exited the room. As I'm looking throughout my purse, making sure everything is in there, but all of a sudden I come crashing into someone.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to." The unfamiliar voice said

"No it's okay I wasn't the one looking.." I Said

"Oh my god Sonya hi." She Said

I looked at the woman with two head, I'm in one of those moments of when someone knows you but you don't know them..

"I'm sorry have we met?" I Asked

"Oh no but we've spoke on the phone once, a couple months back..excuse my manners it's me..Rebecca."

Oh fuck...

"Rebecca..Shawn's girlfriend." I Said

"Yeah, it's so nice to finally meet you. Wow aren't just so gorgeous." Rebecca Said

"Mhm so are you." I Said

"I heard what happened a couple months ago, with the accident and can I just say I'm glad you're okay.
When the news broke, I was worried but I prayed you'd be okay..and now here you are." Rebecca Said, smiling.

"Oh thank you, but um you didn't have to pray for me.." I Said

"No No I wanted to, I even wanted to send you flowers but..Shawn did that anyways." Rebecca Said, as I looked at her.

"So Shawn did send me those flowers?" I Said

"Yeah I'm the one who convinced him to go see you, he wasn't so sure of going to see you..after we'll you know. But yeah visited you while you were in a coma, I'm happy he did..isn't he just the sweetest." Rebecca Said

"Yeah something like that." I Said, nodding as I take in this news.

"Babe!"

Rebecca and I turned at the sound of a familiar man's voice, we looked down the hall and there was Shawn. He froze in his tracks, he looked between the two women one that both loves him, and he finally approached us, the more and more Shawn walked closer towards me..the feelings of anger and love all mixed into one just jumped into me.

"Shawn look who's here, Sonya..I had no idea she was even here today." Rebecca Said

Shawn looked at me and I looked at him..as our eyes met, I was just looking into those blue eyes to see if there's still maybe something..here.

"Yeah I knew, Paul and the boys told me earlier." Shawn Said

"Oh I get why you didn't tell me..you didn't think we'd want to speak to one another, well Sonya..I just wanted you to know that I have no animosity towards you. Based off what Shawn's told me, I think you're actually a really good person." Rebecca Said

The more and more she talked, I didn't know how to feel. I mean I don't hate Rebecca, she didn't do anything to me personally to make me hate her.
So I put on a smile, and nodded along as she complimented me.

"Well Rebecca..I don't know you personally, but if you were able to land this one here's heart..you must be a really great girl then." I Said, looking over at Shawn who's trying his best to not make eye contact with me.

"Oh that's so great to hear." Rebecca Said

"Uh Becks we gotta you know." Shawn Said

"Right I'm sorry, we have to go..um Sonya it was nice speaking to you wish you a speedy recovery." Rebecca Said

"Thanks." I Said

"Okay, bye." Rebecca Said

"I'll meet you at the car." Shawn Said

Rebecca leaned over and gave Shawn a quick peck, which irritated me in a way but shrugged it off. She waved bye and I waved back while she was walking away. Meanwhile Shawn and I were left alone in this hall, standing in silent awkwardness and him not trying to look at me, which is killing me. So I'll be the bigger person and say something.

"So..." I Spoke up

"Yeah, um..nice seeing you, have a nice night." Shawn Said

Shawn nodded his head then started walking down the hall, I stood there with this look of "what the fuck" on my face, is he serious. You know I could just stand here like an idiot and settle for that, but bullshit I'm gonna get a conversation.

I speed walked down the hall in these fucking heels, finally reached him and tugged on his arm spinning him around.

"What?" Shawn Said

"Are you fucking kidding me!, "nice seeing you?".."have a nice night." What the fuck Shawn." I Said

"Sonya what, I don't see what's wrong with what I said." Shawn Said

"Really?..that's all you have to say me to me."

"Sonya-" Shawn Said

"Seven months..seven long ass months we haven't said a word to each other, and you say that to me." I Said

"What did you want me to say huh?" Shawn Asked

"Gee I don't know anything better than that, shit at least talk to me like you know me at least..I'm not some stranger." I Said

"I'm sorry I just can't talk to you how we used to." Shawn Said

"Why, is it because of Rebecca?" I Asked

"No..it's just-" Shawn Said

"Just what Shawn?" I Asked

"It's just..I don't know what to say to you Sonya." Shawn Said

"You could start off with apologizing to me. For making me fall in love with you, and hurting me.." I Said, as my eyes started to become watery.

"I know." Shawn Said

"No you don't know, you see..I might seem fine on the outside but I'm dying on the inside..just seeing you with kills me. That night on your birthday when I called you and she answered, it felt like I died in that moment." I Said

"Then why did you call?" Shawn Asked

"Because I was still in love with you Shawn!, okay most of us don't move on in two months..two months. It took you two months to move on from the woman, you saw yourself marrying..how could you do that?" I Said

"What Rebecca and I have is different from what me and you had." Shawn Said

"Oh why, what did she agree to marry you or something.." I Said

Shawn gave me a look then stayed silent for a moment, then it all just hit me..and the tears came pouring down.

"She did didn't she...she said yes." I Said

"I asked her to marry me on Christmas and she said yes." I nodded my head slowly, he sighed. "Sonya, please don't be mad." Shawn Said

"Why shouldn't I be..I'm mad Shawn, okay I'm mad that I can't move on..and I want to. You don't deserve my love and tears anymore, you hurt me..when all I ever wanted to do was love you.." I Said, as wiped some tears away.

"I'm sorry,..with Rebecca now..." He walks closer to me, "But I still care about you, if you want to hate me to move on..I'll be fine with that, but just know that I'm truly sorry." Shawn Said

I stepped back from him, glaring at him with my red watery eyes.

"Don't be sorry,..I can't do this anymore, I'm done with you and whatever this is...I'm done Shawn." I Said

I looked down the hall and there was Amy waving at me, I shoved passed Shawn and continued walking.

"Sonya.." Shawn Said, as I stopped and turned to face him one last time.

"Congratulations on the engagement, hope she's worth it. Bye Shawn." I Said

Shawn put his head down as I turned my back on him, and finally met Amy at the end of the hall and she put her arm over shoulders as we walked out to the parking lot. As we got inside the car, all the remanding tears I pushed down came out and I sobbed, Amy quickly pulled me into a hug as I cried in her arms.

"It's okay, it's gonna be okay..you'll be fine hun." Amy muffled, as I continued to cry my heart out in this car.
