Flashback 
— January 1, 1991; Austin TX

A pregnant Ava sat in the rocking chair of her daughter's nursery, as she wrote a letter for her daughter as the music box played the gentle tune of Hey Jude.

"Nurtured by time through highs and the lows, the love which is theirs ever deepens and grows, and both turn more patient, and days become years. Growing older and wiser through gladness and tears. They cling to each other through gladness and tears. Deeply concerned with the ones they hold dear, they mark birthdays and holidays all through the year. Building family traditions each step of the way, sharing good news and bad, as they go day to day. They're a Mather & Daughter, and right from the start, they were forever joined in a place of the heart, and a lifetime of unconditional love, which they unwillingly give, which will enhance and sustain them as long as they live."

My beautiful Stella,

Your father and I can't wait to meet you, how I have loved having you as my sidekick this past year. I know you have enjoyed the classic rock hits, I grew up with, and I can't wait to pass that love on to you, as well as my love for dresses, my love for Princess Diana, and jewelry. I know this world will be crazy, but I want you to always remember how much you are loved, and never doubt your place in it. When the time comes, for you to find an epic romance of your own, always remember, the heart knows what it wants and whom it wants my dear Stella. Now, will you make mistakes in life? Of course, we all do. We're human, but I know the choices you make in life will be spectacular, because you, my little sweet pea, are spectacular. Until we meet in 9 days.

"There you are." Nathan said as he walked into the nursery

"Just writing our little one a letter for when she's older." Ava smiled

"Well, you ready for bed honey?" Nathan asked

"Of course." Ava smiled as she sealed and dated the envelope. "Don't let her open this until she has a child of her own."

"Loretta, you know you'll be here for that." Nathan said as they walked out of the nursery.

"Well, you never know honey." Ava said, as they walked into their bedroom. "Promise me?" she smiled as they laid down.

"I promise." Nathan said as he held her close, and placed his hand on her baby bump. "I love you so damn much, Ava."

"I love you more, my sweet, Texas Ranger." Ava smiled as she kissed Nathan's lips.
