Author's POV

As the evening fell, rose colors with hints of violet spread across the sky. The warm glow lit up the narrow streets. The elegant blue-roof houses, along with the crystalline lake seemed to fit together to form a picturesque scene.

The large living room was silent. Only the sound of keyboard tapping from upstairs could be heard until a loud grunt followed by another was heard. Y/n stepped down and stretched a bit. She then headed to the kitchen to brew a cup of coffee. During the process of doing it, she called her mother...

'The person you're calling is currently busy, try calling later.'

She has been trying to contact her mom since yesterday night, but she always received this answer, thinking her mom must be busy, She shrugs it off. And then someone entered the kitchen... It was Min Yoongi. 

"It was tiring but we finally completed the patient's report," Yoongi said back hugging her, but she just gave a weak smile which he found odd.

"What's wrong?" He asked drinking Y/n's coffee

"Mom is not picking up the call, So I'm just getting a little bit worried about her" She sighed, Yoongi patted her back assuring everything would be fine. 

They decided to take a walk after some time. Since it was very cold outside, she wore a black sweater, an Off white pants, coat on top of it and Yoongi wore a similar outfit.

Meet Dr. Min Y/n and Dr. Min Yoongi. A 23-year-old married couple living in Seoul. Both have been the highest-ranked doctors in South Korea for three consecutive years. Y/n is the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Park and belongs to the Park family. Park Jimin, a 21-year-old acting student, and Park Min-hee, a 19-year-old engineering student, are her siblings.

Y/n was walking around in a park while Yoongi was on a call, so he was left behind. She noticed a little girl crying while her mom was cleaning her wounds. She smiled remembering how her mom used to do the same when she got hurt. As she approached them, she offered them a bandaid.

"Thank You," the little girl said.

"Remember, you will have to stay strong when you get hurt, okay?" The little girl nodded.

"Y/n?" She looked back to find Yoongi smiling

"Here, take this and follow what Eonnie said, alright?" He offered a chocolate to the girl, who accepted it gladly and nodded in agreement. After Yoongi swung his hand around Y/n's shoulder, they continued walking.

On their way home, they stopped at a pancake cafe and had some pancakes. Going back home, they got fresh and decided to visit the hospital when their telephone rang. They both looked at each other. Y/n remembers that no one called from the phone except her mom. 

"Aish it must be mom, Today I will scold her" She dramatically said and Yoongi looked back at his phone reading an article

As she picked up the phone, she scolded a bit, thinking it was her mother.

"Mom! Why didn't you pick up my call!? I was so worried about you-" She was cut off by the other person on the line

"Is this Y/n?" She sensed something was wrong and asked who was he. That time, Yoongi was caught off guard by her question, he went near her.

"Miss I'm talking from Daegu Fatima Hospital, Your mom just passed away" Her heart dropped, time stopped, and Yoongi noticed how Y/n's face turned blank. Before he could say anything she yelled at that man

"What type of prank is this!?" but heard someone's cries

"Minmin?, Eonnie?" The line spoke

"Min-hee!? W-what's wrong!?" She stuttered

"Mom was having a fever for the last week and today she suddenly passed away" She replied crying.

"I thought she was fine! What happened suddenly? And why didn't you tell me about this!?" Y/n shouted, tears in her eyes. This worried Yoongi a lot.

"Ms. Min, Mrs. Park had a severe cold, which is considered to be convalescent. Her condition was improving, but suddenly her heart rate started dropping, and then this happened." She fell to the ground but Yoongi was fast enough to catch her. He made her sit on the sofa and talked with the person on the telephone. He couldn't believe what he heard. As he cut the call, Y/n ran to him and hugged him crying...

She couldn't process it as it had happened so quickly...

1 week later

5 days ago, Y/n & Yoongi went to Daegu and did the rituals. Everyone present there expected her to cry but they just got to see her emotionless face all the time. She decided to bring her little sister & brother to Seoul and continue their studies there.

Y/n was laying on Yoongi's lap...

"Yoongi?" He hummed in response

"Can you sing your song "People" for me?" He nodded and started playing with her hair after turning on a BG sound.

Clappings were heard. They looked back to find Min-hee

"Oppa, You should have become a rapper instead, I swear to God, You would have become Worldwide famous & I would have made my room full of your pics" She giggled, Yoongi whispered a thank you to her, to which she showed her famous eye smile

That's what made Yoongi fall in love with Y/n...

And it became his weakness, & his strength

"By the way eonnie, I have an exam tomorrow. Can I use your study room for it?" Min-hee asked. Y/n smiled and nodded. Min-hee gave Y/n a warm hug and went away

"Thanks, Yoongi" She hugged Yoongi once Min-hee was out of her sight. 

"I will be going to my favorite park, Alone. Please" Yoongi hesitated but he understood Y/n and gave her some space.

With that, she went to her favorite park. It was a little far but the view was worth it.

As the sun was setting that time, she got more emotions. She went and sat on the railing. She closed her eyes remembering all the moments with her mom, with her family. She smiled

"Why did God suddenly take the happiness away?" was what she was thinking all this time. She saw a purple balloon flying in the sky. She caught it.

"That's mine, Thank you for catching it" Someone suddenly said. She looked back to find the same girl from the park.

"Here, take it" Y/n gave it back to her

"What were you doing here? Why do you look sad eonnie? Can I help you someway?"

"I was just sitting there looking at the sky, Don't mind me... Where is your mom?" Y/n asked, The little girl pointed at a woman who was busy feeding something to a little boy

"Mom is busy feeding some snacks to my little brother" She giggled

"If you're in trouble, don't stress yourself. You have someone who always wishes you the best, Who does not wish to let you go even for a minute." The little girl said and ran to her mom. Y/n smiled, she looked at the sun and closed her eyes.

She could see a beautiful place full of flowers and butterflies... She saw her mom watering the plants.

"Mom!" She screeched. She ran to her and hugged her from behind while her mom just chuckled

"Why did you leave us?" She asked crying

"Bear, fate had decided to take me away from you and your sis. Don't get weak because of me. Make me your strength and move forward. Remember how excited I was when I found out you became a doctor? You fulfilled my dream...Today I'm not with you, imagine the families who lost their loved ones... You're their hope, my dear... I will be there for you at your difficult times. Might not be standing in front of you, but will always stay with you..."

Y/n opened her eyes panting heavily as tears fell down her face. She whipped them away

"Y/n!?" She looked back to find a worried Yoongi. He went and sat beside her and said

"I'm sorry I came here, I was worried about you..." 

"Min-hee, is she alone in the house?" She asked

"My cousin Jungkook & Taehyung came over, Jungkook is her classmate so they're studying & Jimin came too. So, Taehyung is there to accompany him with their acting ass." Yoongi said

"Everyone had a company except for you and me, I didn't want you to be alone that's why I came" he added on

A smile glowed on Y/n's face and she grabbed his jaw and kissed him passionately. A moment later, he regained his composure and returned the kiss. He bought her more closure to him by wrapping his hand around her waist. Their lips melded seamlessly together. Most of the people behind them admired the couple and some of them were crying because of their single ass. Slowly, they parted ways and smiled at each other as they gazed at the gorgeous sunset.

Y/n leaned her head on his shoulder and remembered the words from the little girl

"You have someone who always wishes you the best, Who does not wish to let you go even for a minute."

She looked at Yoongi who was enjoying the view, She knew he is the one that the little girl was referring to.  She looked at the sun and smiled

"I will make you my strength mom"

"I will live this life to the fullest...
