A splash of cold water contacted with her skin as her eyes flutteterd open in a instant. The lack of light in the room made her frown as she gazed up to meet those cold pair of emerald eyes. She wiped the dripping water from her face, glaring at Farah at the corner of her eye. She didn't give her time to even sit up straight before she started giving her orders.

" Come on. Get up and get dressed. We don't have a all day. You have to meet the princess therefore you have to be punctual!"

Andro huffed still laying on the bed, frown covering her delicate face.

" Quickly ! " Farah narrowed her eyes at her.

Andro was intimidated by the lady in green. She jumped up from the bed walking over to the tub to freshen up for the day. She cleaned herself slipping in to the traditional dress. It was customery for a maid in the castle to dress in to the white dress and braid her hair. Andro watched as Farah tangle her hair. The pattern of the hair done was beautiful. It made her smile a little as she looked at it turning her face from one side to the other. She ate a delicious traditional food called ingera with the spicy stew.

They walked out of the room. The daylight made the halls more fascinating than the the night before. She could see more clearly now and if it is possible she found it even more beautiful. The carved walls and the illuminated floor were all the site of wonder. Andro looked up at the sealing. It had paintings of the ethiopian people, beautifully carved scluputers all over it that she hadn't noticed the previous night. It made her love it more.

A couple of maidens passed by her way. Their dress and hairs were similiar to her's. ' They must be maids too' She thought as she clutched her smooth long dress. Their eyes glaring at her. Andro kept her head low, avoiding their piercing eyes.

At the end of the hall, they turned right. A big majestic door, decorated with gold and silver was there. Farah knocked on the door and it was instantly opened.

A lady with a bright smile bowed to Farah, opening the door further, just enough for them to slip in. The chamber was so wide that you could get lost in one of the curtains. Never in her life had Andro been in such a luxurious place. She spotted a big mirror with a comfortable looking chair infront of it. A lot of traditonal gowns were hanged. It looked like a fancy dress room. Andro shook her head at the thought that even her entire house wasn't as big as this chamber.

" Ah....You came at last" A high pitched voice boomed.

Turning around to look at the source of the voice, Andro was greeted with the sight of a girl who looked just around the age of Andro's little sister. She wore a beautiful white gown. Two maids standing behind her as she gave Farah a small smile. A sliver crown was on top her head, contrasting with her black curly hair. She is the princess Azeb of Ethiopia.

Farah bowed, lowering her gaze to the ground, but Andro was standing there, staring at her half sister. Farah tugged Andro's dress signalling her to bow too which she obliged to. She forgot she has to bow when there the royal family was around, but her hesitation was noticed by the princess.

" Forgive me your highness. I have been away on a hunting trip." Farah spoke, breaking the death glare that princess was giving to poor Andro.

" It is quite alright. Don't let it happen again." She said looking away.

" I will remember that your majesty."

" Who is the girl?" She pointed at Andro with her chin.

Andro didn't understand why people kept glaring at her. She didn't do anything to them.

" She is the maid you requested last time, to clean your dress room. I brought her from M-menesa." Farah replied, her voice getting a little shaky.

It was her first time seeing Farah stumble on her words. It was almost detectable that she was lying.

" Hhmmm........ she is awfully too pretty for a maid."

Andromeda didn't know how to take the princess's word. It was both insult and compliment. The arrogancey she radiated was too visible to be ignored. The way she looked at her was nauseous. Panic setteled at the pit of her stomach as she thought of leaving in this prison like castle as a maid.

" It is time for her chores" She gestured to the dusty gowns at where on the floor. " I shall go to the dinning chambers. My father the king must be waiting for me." She bragged about being a King's daughter.

" If I may your highness. She is new to the chores. I think some one should show her first." Farah said.

" Very well. I will send someone in." Azeb said walking out. Her long beautiful dress kissing the floor as she walked dramatically, ushering the two maids behind her.

" When you finish your chores. Come to your room. I will be waiting at the entrance of the jungle." Farah whispered in Andro's ears making sure only she heard it, leaving her alone in the big chamber.

A few minutes later. A girl with light brown eyes and short thick hair walked in. She looked fragile. He traditional liverly was too big for her small body. Andro doubted the girl would help at all.

" Greetings. I am pleased to meet you. I am Meseret" She smiled.

" Likewise I'm Andromeda." Andromeda said with a small smile.

Something about her told her that she wasn't as bad as the maids she saw earlier. It was quick to judge but Andro often listened to her intuition. Indeed, Andro wasn't proved wrong. Mesert was very kind. She is the daughter of a maid in the palace. She was her age and she told her how much she despised the princess.

Suddenly, Andro felt like she has been here for years, sleeping under the palace's sheets, walking in it's walls. Meseret's cheerful presence made her worries disappear. For the day she forgot who she is or who she was about to become in near future. Andro found herself asking about her father. Her mother told so little about him. Meseret told her that he was as man of few words, only speaks when he has to. She told her that he was kind but reserved. She also said that his daughter was the only person he loved. She felt pain sting her. She longed to have a father that loves her. She told her that he spends most of his time at the battle field among the amorian women warrior and the Ethiopian soliders. Infact he was leaving the next day.

Andro cleaned the room with the help of Meseret. Meseret wasn't as weak as she thought she would be. Drenched in sweat, mesert panted but Andro was the same as before. She felt as strong as she was when she got up this morning.

" You don't look tired" Meseret mummered, rubbing her sweaty temple.

" I don't....sweat much" Andro said, nervously smiling.

Hours went by, them cleaning and dusting the chambers. Meseret was summoned by the head maid of the kingdom, leaving Andro to finish the work alone.

Andro quickly got up and headed to the large balcony that gave a clear view of the entire kingdom. The kingdom's beauty was striking, even more so than she had read. The more she saw this place. The more she wanted to preserve and protect everything in it. The herd of cows, horses moving. The people working on the busy market while they laughed and chatted. Not knowing what the future holds for them. She sighed watching the titling sun bask the waterfalls, grazeing the long lawns, trying to memorize the blissful ages of this grand place.

The tales and legends told were nothing to what she was seeing now. The sun was almost set but Andro didn't move from the spot. There was never something as beautiful as this to watch in Awsan. She gazed at everything until the sun finally receded from the vast sky. This place was both her freedom and her prison. The peace it brings to her soul was indescribable and yet she was tied down, locked in this stony walls. She wanted to walk on those streets and laugh among those people.

" What are you doing here? Aren't you done with your chores?" The princess raised her voice.

Andro quickly nodded, bowing to the princess. She scurried to the door.

" Wait." Princess Azeb turned glaring at Andro.

Andromeda looked at the princess with a frown.

" You didn't do your chores. It is the same as I left it this morning." Smirking wickledly, she spoke again. " Come tommorow morning before sunrise and do it again."

Andro cleaned the place very well. It was safe to say. It is spotless. Andro took in a sharp breath.

This girl was worse than the kids that bullied her back at home. She never thought she would meet someone worse than them but she disliked her everytime she opened her mouth to utter a word. She didn't want her to get the satisfaction of getting as reaction out of her. She nodded, apologizing, telling her she would do it again. She walked away before her anger got the best of her. Scowling under her breath, she entered her room, shutting the door.

" Didn't I tell you to come to the training after your chores were done ?"Farah spoke.

Farah was standing sitting on the edge of the bed. She looked clam but her clenching hand said otherwise.

" I am sorry "Andro said not meeting her emerlad eyes.

" Come on We don't have time"

Farah sighed walking over to the wall, muttering those words, three times and the wall led to the another room. It is as scary as before. Not even the candle lights were shielding away the dark aura but it at least it revealed, everything the darkness concealed. They walked out of the parallel room.

Silence was bestowed on the woods before them. This was her first lesson. A lesson she was forced in to. She held her breath. The moon signified the soiled ground they were standing on and everything on it. The lady in green stared at the moon and started speaking.

" Alright now. I will tell you everything you need to know about your powers, for power without a proper knowledge is weakness. The Amorian have ranks as I have said before to protect the Ethiopian nation. The blue fire, the green vulture and the red fox. It is symbolized by the three champions of Ethiopia. The blue fire is the leader, ruler of water, the most powerful one. While fighting they tend to turn to blue fire eyed warrior and become deathly if they intended to. They are angered easily. They have diffculty controlling their anger, hates to be provoked. They are curious and thrusty for knowledge. They are the leaders of wars. The green vulture such as me. We are the healers, fortunetellers, rulers the earth. We are the advisers to the blue fire although most of us won't get to. We are more calmer than the blue fire. The red fox they are the cunning and clever foxs that rule the animal world. For instance your mother is a red fox while I am a green vulture. We all get the source of our powers from our swords. It will help us change in to any form of thing we may please depending on the ranks, teleport within minutes by drawing the Ethiopian letters with the sword. Become invisible but all with practice or you might end up dead. There is also a golden rule never break or steal amorian's sword. Amorian without a sword is like a body without a soul." She finally looked at Andro.

" What makes the blue fire different is that. It comes once in a century. It is very rare.It is said that a blue fire comes when the Ethiopian and Amorian loses their way. Our ancestors say that the era of a blue fire is hex and a blessing all at once, for the future of our people depends on it."

"And me which one am I?" Andro can't help but ask.

" I don't know." She paused, staring at her intently. " But we will find out, regradless of your rank you will still be more powerful. You see you have a power no mortal should posses but the late Andromeda had no choice but to let it happen. You are the beacon of hope that our green vultures told over and over again."

How?! She wanted to ask but the words were stuck in her throat. She was expected to be a fierce warrior when in reality. All she is, is a poor farm girl who loves books than most people.

She couldn't even fight off her bullies. There is a reason that she had to be protected by her little sister every time she goes to the library. Outside the world of books and logic she was fragile as a glass vase.

" I am afraid. I am not who you assumed I would be." Andro lowered her gaze.

" No you are not." Farah said, not looking at her whilst she spoke.

" You are better."

Andro widened her eyes, waiting for her to tell her that it was a lie. The lady appreciatively smiled before she uttered again.

" You might have weak body but you are strong at heart and in the end that will be your weapon more than your sword. You need to train yes,but bravery is from the heart not from the frame. I saw it in you when you were a child."

" Now I will test you to see which one of us you are. "

She came closer, staring at scared Andro.

How is she going to test her? Was it that easy to know? She was clouded with inquires that didn't have an answer to. Not knowing what will happen always scares and excites her at the same time.

" How?"Andro asked.

Farah ignored her query and stood centimeters away from her. Nearing of her hand to the side of Andro's head made gossbumps rise on her skin. Farah plucked the strands of her hair from her braid, grapping it in her hands. She cautiously took out a wooden carved flask, adding the hair to it. The hair sprung out almost immediately. It was altered to a blue color. Farah grasped the blue hair closing the wooden flask.

" I must say. I am not surprised at all. A blue fire."

Andro smiled for the first time maybe for real. Was it a good thing she is a blue fire or not? She still had a gazillion questions. It was like when Farah answered one. She will have ten new ones from it.

Farah started walking to the woods, leaving confused Andro behind. Andro sighed and started following her to the throny dark jungle. She felt like danger was lurking in the woods, but quieted down her loud thoughts and fastened her legs to walk beside Farah.
