A flower bed not only resides flowers but also a heinous tangle that conceals the lucrative thorns.

Myrah pov

Lounging on the warm silky cushion of the raised scaffold under hue, with wooden pillars along its contour, the picture outside was free and I relished my tea in leisure. The white porcelain cup with a pink orchid design on it reminded me of my mum. My mom was like this orchid, a flower she was, unfortunately, she died when I was young. I heaved out a bitter sigh,

"You granted seeds and capital to the needy peasants!" Rima clamored,

"No. You wouldn't, why would you!" she spoke as she clasped her hands together. "How kind of you, Your Highness." She glowed as if I executed the greatest thing.

As if it is my true discretion. Why would I care about those barbarous farmers?

I nodded as I placed my cup on the nearby table. "Sacrifices aren't made with empty guts, to bait is to shove happiness then sap it all."

My eyes grew vindictive as I sneered and raised my eyebrow with a sly smile. "Change is not eternal. Call LeHyun the Minister of Finances."

"As you say." Rima bowed and departed.

After a good few minutes, he came.

LeHyun, his face bringing back all the memories,

"Your Majesty asked for me?" He bowed and asked me, his ugly gaze traced my body as I shifted my legs a little more comfortably, reminding him who has the upper hand.

"You all shall leave," I asked my maids including Rima.

Hoseok Pov

I laughed out loud as I slapped the wooden slab. Slapping the slab while laughing became a part of my usual ritual.

"You lost in Baduk!" I pointed my hands at Myrah and laughed.

In like 2 weeks, I have grown very comfortable and might I add, am one of the very few who call Her Highness "Myrah." Who is not envious?

Myrah scowled as she folded her hands and squealed, "You cheat!"

"Haha... Don't try to deceive me! You know the rules and I played it fair and square."

"No! " she huffed.

"Anyways... There is a feast upcoming and I want you to be there."

"I can't come even if the Incredible Queen wishes. The feast is only for the Royals. You know better," I said gently as I tried my best not to hurt her.

She is so delicate that I am afraid that even my slightest outrage can hurt her. Myrah pouted in frustration. How adorable. She is like a kid who I want to defend and keep secure from the world.

"Then let's at least meet at dusk in the gardens for a stroll. I will be so bored! Please?" she asked with hope.

Being the hope I am, how can I say no? "Sure, but before that, you earned a penalty for losing," I told her.

"No way. I have got... a meeting with someone now, right? Rima?" she asked.

"No, Your Majesty, you don't have anything on your agenda today," Rima answered.

"You can't flee today!" I exclaimed as she replied.

"Fine... What should I do?"

"Dance for us," I casually replied.

"Isn't asking a Queen to dance for you being disrespectful!? You may lose your head!" she explained dramatically.

"You won't do it," I confidently replied, to which she kept quiet.

"Only if you dance with me too," she mumbled as I clapped my hand and hopped off my seat.

Our legs and body swayed in the air as we danced soulfully, lost in the music Rima played. I closed my eyes, letting the tension run loose.

Soon the kids joined us as we danced. Low giggles enveloped the place warmly.

"Your Highness, pardon me for disturbing but His Highness has sent you a present," a maid bowed and spoke as she carried a plate covered in red silk.

Myrah stopped in her steps as she walked toward the maids. The kids and I surrounded her.

"Open it, My Lady!" my brother said excitedly.

Inside was a gorgeous gold hairpin embellished in lustrous red rubies in the shape of a lotus.

Myrah brushed her hands on it as she asked, "Where is His Eminence?" Her eyes printed a smile as her face held a light blush.

"He is in the Moon Garden, Your Majesty," she bowed and left at her consent.

"Are you going empty-handed?" I asked her.

"What?" she blinked as I handed her a lily.

"Give it to him," I ushered her, who happily took it from my hand and rushed to meet him.

"Hurry before His Highness leaves!" I cheered and muttered under my breath.

"Young love birds..."

"You are young too," Rima commented as she eyed me from the side.

"So?" I asked her as my stare didn't leave Myrah's, which now was out of my sight.

"So... Why don't we go for a drink?" Rima asked as I looked at her, and replied.

"Drinks will make us sick. Eat leafy vegetables," I suggested to her in concern as the kids around me laughed.

"What? Leafy vegetables are exceptionally good for our body," I supported my comment.

My brother whacked his forehead and left with the others except for my dazed state.

Are the characters engraved into your mind? They are designed like this innately (by me of course)

Myrah's character might perplex you. If not what's the thrill and excitement?
