Myrah Pov (Continuation)
"Yoongi," I called.
Yoongi bowed as he looked at me in amazement, "You are familiar with my name!"
"Of course, Hobi has told me. The man with small eyes and big cheeks- Oh! Hobi really did tell me about this, and the secret Detective of my husband!" I exclaimed. His thin gaze never left my eyes as much as he didn't take efforts to look down or away from my wet, dribbling body. What can I say, I came as soon as he called, in my clammy apparel in the rain.
To his utter despair, he can't do it to even hide his burning face, which I took bliss staring at. I moved near him deliberately as he took a step back,
"I am not here to survey you, My Queen. Rather I am entrusted with the job to stay with you as your guard and shield you and be the head of your security." I rubbed my nose feeling itchy.
"Why would I need one? You did see me tending the killers well enough." I tried to talk to him. If he stays with me, I can't even move a hair to pluck it.
"Namjoon has asked me, Your Highness. And it seems you pretty much took care of yesterday's event," he commented as I nodded my head in an assertion. Should I seduce him?
"Ah- Achoo" I sneezed loudly, bringing my hands to my nose. Well... Not this time.
Yoongi flinched to my surprise and looked around to find something, "Please go back to your chamber, my Queen. You will get ill," he said. That's quite a response.
"Mira was influenced. It is better to keep rivals near. I can take care of it," I ushered him as he replied, "Sure. You can take a nap while I organize my men around. Good night, Your Excellence," he wished.
Namjoon... Namjoon... Namjoon, what shall I do with you..., I kept mulling over as I walked to my space.
*
I woke up as early as possible, dressed, and left my palace grounds when I met Hyunjin. What a sweet face and a way to start my morning! His eyes looked around disdainfully as he came near me.
"Morning, Your Highness."
"What do you have?" I asked as he took a scroll from his robes and gave me.
"This contains the statements about the slave and the minor," he informed me as I grasped it tightly.
"You have the kid?" I asked him if he has some leverage here to get this done in a day, and that is fishy.
"It was tough, yes but within the evening, the son will be in our grips, I assure you, Your Majesty," he replied as I stared at him, and with no further thoughts, I ordered, "Kill the kid."
Taken back, he hesitantly nodded and left quietly.
Looking past his figure, I spotted Hobi walking towards me, along with... Yoongi. I bit my cheeks and made my way near them.
"I missed you, Myrah, the Queen got so busy that she shirked her best friend?" Hobi questioned as I tried to logic my doings, "No!" he cut me and sulked, "No excuses accepted."
"What shall I do? How about coming with me to the Yellow sea coast? I have affirmed that I would meet the mutinies by myself."
After a long battle, he finally agreed, along stood Yoongi, whose gaze I met often as I conveyed an awkward smile. I sighed, "Again, what a way to start the morning."
*
I rode in my fine horse, leading a hundred men behind, followed by Yoongi and Hobi. We marched towards the Yellow sea coast. I wasn't exhausted and cramped riding on a horse for 3 hours consecutively, we occasionally stopped to drink or rest our feet on the land.
The sun straight up my head couldn't bring me down, for I was busy planning my sketch. The sun was about to set as we reached there.
Large furnaces burnt, and the whole coast was lit. There stood a two-story building made up of wood.
Over a hundred men stood with heavy iron harpoons in their hands. In front of him stood Tae in his usual clad. A dark red cloak and robes this time.
We could have won them over, as we outnumbered them, by a little... perhaps, though anyhow we will win as it is Tae! Yet, I asked for a peace proclamation.
"I don't want my people to shed blood, Yoongi," I fibbed.
"But speaking to the mob leader unattended is not secure for you, Your Majesty," Yoongi answered.
"What? You speak as if you didn't know I killed the assassins myself. I can take care," I assured and reminded him again. And then I rode alone, in between the crowds, and I hopped on the ground and went after the mob leader, Taehyung.
A sly grin embraced my face, as I followed him to a space.
"You got some skills up your sleeve, Tae," I remarked,
"Why did you want me to direct this insurgent?"
"Aw, Tae don't be sore. A leaderless rebellion perishes nameless. Besides, I knew you could delude the gangs and exploit them."
Tae snickered as I continued, "It is this way easy for me to ascertain my capability of quashing the rebels. Jimin will be elated."
"Are you doing this for him?"
"No! Tae, I came here to tell you my plan. In the next full moon, Seong will shed her last breath, then help me flee to Ausra, 'bout the time Jin wars on Joseon."
"What?"
"Jin, Qin's nice ass prince. I have sent him a letter that I need help, blah blah blah, Jimin too knows it, though he concedes that Jin is the one who is mailing me, so either Jin or Jimin will meet in the war field. And at that time, I have to flee to Ausra. When that happens, my plan will drop in a straight line.
Jimin becomes occupied with the war, and the instability of the government strikes. Agriculture falls drastically, the economy collapses, and Jimin will lose the war due to lack of replenishment. And I get to give the retribution in a truce as I watch the kingdom tear into wads. Simple."
"You are insane, I mean it, Myrah! You are turning insane! Why make others suffer from your play? What did Jimin do? Heck, what did Jin do?"
"What got into you Tae? Why are you like this, you know from the start that this is what I want."
"No! You don't want this. Are you a psycho? Are you mentally UNSTABLE?" Tae asked as my eyes burned, my throat fastened as tears fell, streaming after a long time ever since. That hurts, Tae.
"What do you mean by 'psycho?'" I asked as my stomach churned, tears brimming my eyes,
"What? This is not what you want!" he explained.
"Oh, so now you want to go against me?"
"No."
"No, do whatever you want. Myrah will get hers done at any cost," I spoke and turned to retire as Tae held my hand, keeping me from leaving.
"You are going wild," he muttered as I yanked my hand away and warned, "Don't dare barge into my plan Tae, I will not play the fool." I wiped my tears and exited the place.
