First Light :: 17/20
» Title :: 5/5
The name or the identification given to a book is the title. This is where you first engage with your readers to provide them with a basic knowledge of the book or produce a general basic idea. It’s vital to enhance or carve the title into something evasive and provoking as well. Being creative and imaginative is effective to produce the best results. I believe you excelled at all the expected criteria since the title matches well with your book and generates a mysterious enigma that can attract more reads.
» Cover :: 8/10
Cover creation is the very final creative step of publishing a book. Book cover design consists of text and images. To get the layout right, you need to think about the single message you want your cover design to communicate. What is the one feeling or idea you want to convey? Whatever message you decide to feature, make sure every element from color and image to typeface and text supports it. It’s vital to be selective and code the cover in a neat layout to invoke admiration to the readers and to attract them just by your cover. Of course, it’s always dependable according to the taste of the readers but a good book cover should always represent the theme and the genre of the book. Considering the theme of your book the color to color the font styles support the story very well. The threads are beautifully laid out to evoke a first good impression. The only change to alter is where you place your name and the text style you’ve used for it.
» Blurb :: 3/5
Creating a catchy blurb and directing it to your target audience takes a lot of practice. A blurb is promotional description that extends a certain revelation or a glimpse of your novel to the readers. You’ve got only a certain amount of words to impress your readers and attract them to read your book. It should introduce your main characters, give an insight into conflict, depict genre and arouse interest. Readers expect accuracy in which you should be able to validate the certain qualities a blurb should process. There was a bit of uncertainty in introducing the plot and the word length should be extended a bit more to produce a deep instinct of what you’re trying to convey to the readers. Start-up with a powerful opening than inserting in dialogues. Use more adjectives and descriptives as well.
Dawn :: 8/10
Dawn is just as important as the rest of your story which is the entrance ticket and the first time where
you meet your readers while receiving the chance to show them your potential and writing skills. It
should be well constructed to attract more readers. The first chapter is what I considered your dawn since there are only four chapters in the book. Character introduction made an intense impact while the story flowed on with beautiful descriptivesband advanced vocabulary. Paragraph division is laid out very well and the use of language is so good. But include a disclaimer as it’s the official statement to authorize your publication and helps you to deal with copyright issues so please make sure to insert and you can change the position of your disclaimer as the first chapter in the edits section.
Plot and Idea :: 17/20
The central theme revolves around a mystic plot which consists of turns that are really impressive. All that planning about the threads and bunads is just so amazing. A well constructed plot which has the ability to go forward. It’s just only four chapters. I've given the score in regard to what you’ve written but make sure to insert in some twists and turns to keep the readers attached to your story. So far it’s going well. All the characters have powerful impacts with plot and the conflicts are portrayed in a neat layout.
Characters and Emotions :: 12/15
Readers want to get emotional when they read a piece of fiction, whether it is a novel or a picture book.
We concentrate usually on the character and plot but often forget the emotional thread of a story.
Evoking emotions in a character is usually dependable on the personality so the readers can build up an idea of how they will behave and act in the course of the story. Characters need a vivid and varied emotional life, with lots of variety to keep the reader interested. I admire your enriched vocabulary to embed emotions within the characters making the readers bond with them so easily. Those selective words kept the story alive. With the wide variety of emotions possible, don’t let your character get stuck on just one. Emotion has a strong physical component and is primarily felt in the body. "Show" emotions through the character's relationships and reactions to conflict by intensifying with the right amount of frequency.
I felt like some of your characters were stuck in the same loop of emotions rather than displaying other emotions and the time elapsed from positive emotions to negative emotive (vice versa) was a bit hurried.
Writing Style :: 14/15
The style in writing can be defined as the way a writer writes. It is the technique that an individual author uses in their writing. It varies from author to author depending on the skilled techniques and vocabulary they use. Mastering different writing styles is equally important if you want to convey your story to readers with creative precision. Story writing or novels usually fall into the category of narrative and descriptive so it’s vital to be well informed in that criteria as well. Selecting a tone and presenting it with an enriched vocabulary is skillful and adds valuable enhancement to the book. The writing style makes your book impressive and has the ability to attract readers. You definitely have the ability and are a very potential author with an enriched vocabulary. I focus so much on writing style and according to my opinion, your writing style is simply superb! Except for a few errors in placing words.
Grammar :: 17/20
Grammar involves the rules of standard written and spoken expression. Grammar is important to
convey the meaning of your writing.
Spelling and Punctuation, Language and Sen, tense structure are the sectors that ensure accurate and
precise grammar in a book. It also enhances the quality and the flow of your story. Using appropriate
vocabulary is useful in building up a strong language. You’ve advanced very well in your grammar and
there weren’t any major grammatical errors except for a few errors in sentence structures. And a few
missing conjunctions apart from that grammar was perfect.
TOTAL :: 84/100
Reviewer's Note :: You possess advanced writing skills and I admire your writing style and the enriched vocabulary. Look into the above errors. Good Luck!
