The group of four had been walking through the forest. There had been on and off conversation between them, but nothing continued more than a few minutes. This time Wells had broken the silence in the group by talking to Clarke.

"You know, you should really rethink this whole hating me thing. It's not just the grounders. We're surrounded by criminals. We need each other. We're gonna be friends again." He spoke.

Auriella looked to Clarke. She saw as she didn't seem interested in what Wells was saying. "You got my dad killed. Not possible." Clarke responded. Harsh, but Auriella could agree with Clarke, if someone she knew got her dad killed, she wouldn't just stop being their friend, she would be worse.

"This is earth, Clarke. Anything's possible." Wells said. Clarke didn't say another word to him, she just kept her gaze forward, focusing on getting to where they needed to go.

"I'd let it go." Auriella heard Finn whisper to Wells. "Yeah. Well, i've known Clarke her whole life better than you ever will, so, i'll decide when to let it go." Wells said.

"Is Clarke the only thing you guys talk about?" Auriella spoke up with a chuckle. "Is Clarke the only thing you look at?" Finn shot back causing Auriella to spin on her heel to face him and Wells.

"What if she is, you got a problem with it?" Auriella raised her eyebrows, a small smirk grazing the side of her lips. Finn didn't answer her, but instead kept walking past her until he stopped when his foot hit something hard, making a noise.

Finn hit it twice more, making Clarke turn around to face the three of them. "What is it?" She quizzed. Auriella watched as Finn bent down and started to move away the dirt and leaves from the object. It looked like it was a door with a window.

"It's an automobile." Wells spoke as the three of them looked down into the open door that Finn had pulled up. "Come on, guys. This thing's been here for a hundred years. All right? It can wait. Jasper can't." Clarke spoke to the three as she turned around and started walking again. "Come on, boys." Auriella stifled a laugh as she followed Clarke, slightly shoving Finn's shoulder as she walked pass. "Oh and by the way-" Auriella turned on her heel and made sure Finn was looking before she threw up both of her hands, both supporting middle fingers.

She saw Finn furrow his brows and send her a glare. She rolled her eyes, hearing a groan from the brunette boy before turning back around and catching up to Clarke, walking beside her. "What did you do?" She heard Clarke question. She looked quizzically at her, acting oblivious to what she was talking about. "You and me both know that groan from him was because of you." The blonde looked out of the side of her eye, causing a chuckle to come from the brunette.

"Well let's just say, he got a big 'fuck you' for what he said earlier and also, buddy's always glaring at me."Auriella shrugged, earning an eye roll from Clarke. She knew the shorter girl didn't approve of what she did, but the older girl felt good. She wasn't afraid to show what she thought about the brunette boy. "You're both always glaring at each other" Clarke deadpanned. The brunette raised her brows and shook her head, knowing she was right. "Yeah, but I think he's jealous of me. I'm not jealous of him, I just don't like him," Auriella chuckled, nudging Clarke's shoulder. She saw the girl rolled her eyes, a small smile tugging at her lips.

The group arrived at the river, looking out into the water. "So, what does this seaweed look like?" Clarke quizzed. "Like that." Wells responded, pointing out into the river where there were red plants.

"Hey, that thing that got Octavia, how big was it." Wells questioned. "Big. We could rig this into some kind of a net. Find something to lower it into the water." Finn spoke as he bent down and took his pack off.

"Clarke, what the hell." Auriella spoke as she stepped into the water after Clarke. The blonde had already gotten knee deep in the water while Finn was talking. "Or we could just do that." Finn shrugged as his gaze went on Clarke.

Auriella watched as Clarke got waist deep in the water and started to drag the seaweed out. Now she was the one being impulsive. The brunette saw as everybody stopped and turned their gazes towards the left.

Birds were squawking loudly as they came flying over top of the group. They all ducked from the birds as Auriella tried to look up to the sky to see what they were running from. "Let's get out of here." Wells spoke as Clarke stuffed the seaweed into Finn's bag.

There was a bellow of a horn in the distance. "Grounders?" Clarke questioned looking between the group. "It could be a war cry." Wells responded. "Or a warning." Finn spoke up.

"I guess warning." Auriella said as she looked up at the sky. There was a storm cloud of green smoke rushing towards them. Everybody looked to where the brunette was already looking, seeing the storm cloud.

"What the hell is that?" Finn questioned. Nobody answered him, nobody knowing what it was. "Run. Run!" Clarke yelled as she pushed Auriella along, her gaze once focused on the storm cloud, now focused on running for her life. As the ran through the forest, Clarke noticed Auriella falling behind because she kept looking back at the storm cloud.

The blonde groaned as she grabbed the brunette's hand and started dragging her to where Finn was leading them, the automobile from earlier. When they got there, Finn immediately started lifting the door. They all piled in, Clarke letting Auriella's hand drop to her side before rushing to side of the vehicle. "It's getting inside." Clarke yelled as she grabbed a towel and held it over the crack. "Seal any openings." Finn advised, causing all of them to start to fill where the acid fog was coming in.

Finn wiped off the window to the outside, the acid fog still prominent. "It's still out there." He spoke. "We should just make a run for it. Jasper can't wait much longer." Clarke said, looking towards Finn.

"Us dying in a cloud of acid fog isn't gonna help Jasper." Finn responded as he dug his knife into the side of the car. Auriella watched as he pulled a bottle out. "Is that-

-booze." Finn cut Clarke off. The group looked towards the bottle in Finn's hands. A hundred-year-old alcohol, that should be fun. Finn came and sat down opposite of Auriella and Clarke.

"Well, careful. Finn, it could be-" Clarke stopped as he took a drink, a sour expression painting his face. "Whiskey, I think. Better than the moonshine on agro station." Finn spoke as he nodded and tried to hand it towards Wells.

"Alcohol's toxic." Wells said as he backed away from the bottle. "This is earth, everything's toxic. Plus, it's a time-honored rite of passage." Finn chuckled. "We'll pass." Wells said, looking towards Clarke.

Auriella watched as Clarke's expression furrowed, looking towards Wells. "Far be it from me to stand in the way of tradition." Clarke spoke as she took the bottle from Finn and took a drink of it. "Well, i'm assuming its free reign, hand it over." Auriella spoke up, reaching her hand out for Clarke to hand her the whiskey.

She took a big drink of it, the liquid burning her throat. She didn't particularly like the flavor, but Finn was right, it was better than anything they had on the ark.

"It's been hours. Jasper-

-Jaspers in good hands. Octavia will take care of him." Finn cut Clarke off. "How long is that shit gonna take to clear." Auriella scoffed as she took another sip of the whiskey. Her mind had already started to fuzz, and she had begun to slightly slur her words. It didn't take much for a couple of teenagers to get tipsy. After all, they had never touched alcohol before.

"While we're on the subject, why is it that everyone thinks me wanting Jasper to not die is a bad thing? Like i'm such a downer. I can be fun." Clarke said.

"Who said I thought it was a bad thing?" Auriella chuckled, handing the bottle of whiskey to Clarke. "Thank you, Ella. The only one who doesn't think so." Clarke said, smiling over at her.

Auriella's cheeks blushed at the nickname. She gave her a small nervous chuckle, rubbing the back of her neck with a nod. She didn't even know Clarke knew about the nickname. The blonde focused her attention back on Finn. "Yeah. You think i'm fun. Right?" She quizzed. "Yeah, among other things." Finn looked towards Clarke, a smirk on his lips.

"You're fun." Wells put bluntly. He earned everyone's attention, all their eyes locking on him. He said it so sternly, he was annoyed. "Remember that time-

"Remember that time you betrayed me and got my father executed." Clarke cut him off, her gaze towards him hardening. "Yeah, I remember. Where were we? Fun." Clarke looked back towards Finn.

"Yeah." Finn whispered. Auriella watched as Clarke expression got angry once again and her gaze focused back on Wells. "Well, since you brought it up, and I didn't because I don't want to talk about it, what were you thinking?" She questioned.

"I made a mistake, Clarke." Wells said simply, looking down. Auriella heard a scoff from the blonde. "I made a mistake, Clarke. Not good enough." Clarke's voice slightly broke as she mocked Wells.

"How about we just focus on something else, kinda ruining the mood." Auriella stifled a nervous laugh. She watched as a glare came from Clarke but was quickly adverted back to Wells as she sat up and leaned towards him.

"You know, I bet you couldn't wait to run to daddy. Tell him everything. So, that he'd finally believe you were the perfect son he always wanted." Clarke spoke.

"What do you want me to say?" Wells snapped, slightly startling Auriella. She had never heard him snap like that; she was shocked. "I want an explanation." Clarke responded.

Auriella watched as Wells brought his gaze back to the floor, taking a second before answering her. "I can't give you one. I thought I could trust him." He said simply.

The brunette saw as Clarke sank back into her seat, shaking her head at Wells's words. "Well, I thought I could trust my best friend. Guess we were both wrong." Clarke scoffed. "I'm still your friend." Wells defended.

"No, you're not. If you were my friend, you would walk out into that fog and never come back." Clarke's voice cracked. "Hey, you don't mean that." Auriella spoke up, her brows furrowing towards Clarke.

"Maybe you should too." Clarke looked towards her, a sour expression painting her perfect features. The brunette clenched her jaw at the words. She had to admit, it hurt coming from Clarke. "You need to relax, you're drunk. Give me the bottle." Auriella mumbled as she snatched the bottle from the blonde's hands.

"Ok, how about we just take it easy." Finn tried to calm everyone down. "I have no idea how to do that." Clarke responded. Auriella felt Wells take the whiskey from her hands. He sniffed it and took a sip of it, his expression souring. "So, we havin fun yet?" Finn quizzed.
