Auriella, Finn, and Monty were all in the bottom floor of the dropship. They were all waiting for Clarke to be ready so they could leave to save Jasper. "What's taking her so long." Finn mumbled impatiently. "Give her some time, dickhead." Auriella rolled her eyes, glaring over at Finn.
To be honest she was becoming impatient herself but if she could use anything to get at Finn, she would. She felt as if she could hear Finn's eye roll as a sound came from the upper floor of the ship.
"It's not your ankle, Wells, It's you." Auriella heard Clarke's voice speaking as she climbed down the ladder. "Damn, harsh." Auriella chuckled, earning a glare from Clarke as her feet hit the ground.
"You came back for reinforcements, im gonna help." Wells spoke, trying to convince Clarke to let him go. "Clarke, he's right. We need him. So far, no one else has volunteered." Monty spoke, stepping forward towards Clarke.
"I'm sorry, Monty, but you're not going, either." Clarke turned around and faced Monty. "Like hell i'm not. Jasper's my best friend." Monty protested, stepping closer to Clarke. "You're too important. You were raised on farm station and recruited by engineering-
So?" Monty cut Clarke off. "So, food and communication. What's up here, it's gonna save us all. You figure out how to talk to the ark and i'll bring Jasper back." Clarke finished, pointing up towards Monty's brain.
Auriella watched as Monty shook his head, solemnly agreeing to what Clarke was saying. "What's the point in going if you're not gonna let anyone help you?" Auriella stepped forward, stifling a laugh.
"It doesn't matter, you're not going either." Clarke shook her head up at Auriella. "What? Why? We both know i'm not important here." Auriella furrowed her brows.
Clarke turned her body away from Auriella, her head shaking, set on her decision. "I can help." Auriella spoke up again, grabbing Clarke's forearm and turning her towards her. She scanned Clarke's eyes, trying to get her to see that she can help.
"Hey. You ready?" Clarke shook off Auriella's grasp and turned towards Finn. "I'm not going anywhere, and neither should any of you. That spear was thrown with pinpoint accuracy from three-hundred feet." Finn spoke.
"So, what, we let Jasper die?" Monty immediately spoke up. "That's not gonna happen." Clarke reassured. "We'll get him back, Monty." Auriella backed Clarke up, still determined on going.
"Spacewalker? What a joke. You think you're such an adventurer, you're really just a coward." Clarke continued. "It's not an adventure, Clarke, it's a suicide mission." Finn spoke, trying to stop Clarke.
Auriella watched as Clarke shook her head disapprovingly and walked out of the dropship. Auriella called after her, following her out. She grabbed Clarke's wrist and spun her around.
"I'm going whether you like it or not. Somebody needs to protect you; you could die out there." Auriella pleaded to let her go. She watched as Clarke stepped closer, their faces inches apart. "And you're gonna be the one to protect me?" She questioned, searching the brunette's eyes.
"Well, someone has too." Auriella stifled a laugh as she stepped back slightly. Clarke watched as a small blush tainted her cheeks and she tried to avoid eye contact. "Okay, fine, but say goodbye to Luka first." Clarke shook her head, still not wanting her to go but if she really wanted to go, she wasn't going to stop her.
"Why?" Auriella's brows furrowed, not knowing why Luka was being brought into this. "Auriella, you could die out there. You don't want something happening to either of you while you're on bad terms." Clarke elaborated, giving a sympathetic look to Auriella.
The brunette sighed and nodded her head slightly. "Okay, meet me in ten minutes. Luka was on the upper floor of the drop ship by the way." The blonde smiled up at her as she watched Auriella shake her head once again and walk back into the drop ship.
Auriella took a deep breath as she started climbing the ladder up to the upper floor. She knew she didn't want to be on bad terms with Luka, but she was never the type of person to talk to someone first after they had an argument. She had to admit she was nervous and scared, not knowing how mad Luka was at her.
"Luka?" Auriella questioned into the upper floor of the drop ship. She lifted to hatch and lifted herself up onto the upper floor. "Luka?" She called out once again, not getting an answer the first time.
She didn't get a response the second time. She was starting to wonder if she was still up here. "Over here." She finally heard a little mumble from the left corner of the ship.
"Luka? Hey, can I talk to you?" Auriella questioned, setting her gaze on the back of her little sister. "Depends." She put simply, not caring to turn around and face Auriella.
"Depends on what?" Auriella questioned, a little scoff leaving her lips. "What do you want, Auriella?" Luka put bluntly. Auriella's brows furrowed as she took a step back. It had always caught her off guard when Luka would call her by her full name. In fact, Luka was the person that gave Auriella the nickname 'ella'.
"Luka, I just came to say bye." Auriella sighed out, slightly picking at her cuticles from her nerves. "Where are you going?" Luka mumbled. Auriella bit the inside of her cheek, getting irritated at the lack of effort Luka was putting in to try and talk to her.
"Can you just talk to me? I'm trying my best, Luka!" Auriella raised her voice, causing Luka to turn and face her, her eyes slightly widening. "All I was doing was protecting you, he was going to kill you, Luka. Did you really want me to let you die?" Auriella continued, her voice increasing.
"Maybe I do." Was all Luka said as she raised up to her feet, walking towards the hatch. The older brunette furrowed her brows at Luka's statement. She didn't know what she meant by it.
Auriella watched as she didn't even look in her direction. This made her blood boil as she spun around on her heel and grabbed Luka's wrist, making her face her.
"What do you want from me? I could die out there. Do you really want whatever's going on between us to be the last thing that happens?" Auriella questioned, her gaze softening.
"Why do you care so much?" Luka questioned, staring up at the brunette. "What do you mean, 'why do I care?' I care because you're my sister. Of course, I care." Auriella answered, not understanding why she wouldn't care.
"Well, maybe you should stop considering me that, because you're not mine. Nobody has a sister." Luka clenched her jaw as she watched tears form in Auriella's eyes. She felt her grip on her wrist loosen, letting her go.
The brunette pursed her lips and shook her head slightly, shoving past Luka. The way Auriella glared at Luka made her slightly regret what she had said but that's how Luka felt right now. Auriella had embarrassed her just like she had the whole time they had been friends. She needed to put a stop to it somehow and if breaking her heart was the way to do it, she had to and she did.
