Auriella traced her fingers over her cheek where the blood continued to drip down. The pain had started to hit, and she felt in coursing through her hands and face. Even though it hurt, she didn't regret it. If she had too, she would do it all over again without a second thought.
She knew Luka was mad at her, but she didn't have it handled and that was obvious. Did she really want to be put into a fire? Hopefully she would realize that she was just doing what she had too.
"Nice cuts." A voice from over Auriella's shoulder spoke. She knew exactly who it was. She quickly spun around on her heel, ready to punch his face in once again.
As she was about to, she was stopped by Bellamy, his hands across her shoulders. "Auriella, stop." He commanded. "Me? Tell him to." Auriella pushed herself off of the man opposite of her and nodded up at Murphy.
"Murphy, go." He looked over his shoulder and mumbled. Auriella watched as a chuckle fell past his lips and he spun on his heel to walk away.
"Keep him that way." Auriella spoke firmly as she tried to walk away but was stopped when his hand wrapped around her forearm. "Hey, I'm sorry about Luka." He spoke, his voice almost soft.
The brunette's expression hardened as she stepped closer to the Blake. She furrowed her brows as she became almost nose to nose with him. "Don't you dare talk about Luka." She clenched her jaw.
Auriella saw as his brow furrowed with confusion. Was he really confused right now? How did he not know what she mean't. "You were gonna let Murphy push her into that fire, I saw you." Auriella elaborated.
"I wasn't." He spoke bluntly, raising his head slightly. "Yes, you were, you were just standing there and watching as Murphy held her arms back. You weren't doing a damn thing!" Auriella raised her voice for the last few words she spoke.
Her words sounded full of rage. If she wanted to, she could spit poison. Her words seethed through her mouth with such rage and anger, her eyes containing the same. Bellamy had never seen her this mad, he had to admit she could be scary at times, especially when it came down to Luka.
The brunette scoffed as she turned on her heel and started to walk off. "Ella!" Bellamy yelled at her causing her to stop. She whipped around and got face to face with him, clenching her jaw once again. "Don't call me that." She spat.
"I was going to step in but even if I didnt, Wells probably would've-
-I don't care about what Wells was gonna do, I care about what you were gonna do." She interrupted him, placing a finger on his chest and pressing it into him. "I protected Octavia the best I could, and you were over here doing whatever the hell you wanted to do. You weren't even trying to protect Luka; you couldn't care less about her. Look, I might have not hated you before but if you ever pull something like this again, I will never trust you again." Auriella spoke, her voice lowering.
Bellamy stood there, speechless. No words left his mouth until he watched Auriella starting to walk away. "Auriella!" He yelled after her, but she didn't stop this time. She walked away, not even caring to look back at Bellamy.
Auriella shook off Bellamy's calling her name. She couldn't deal with him anymore right now. She knew she needed to meet Clarke and by now because of Bellamy, she was probably already there. Auriella was probably supposed to wait for Clarke but now Clarke was waiting on her.
The brunette stared at the ground, occasionally glancing up to make sure she was still heading towards the right tree. When she looked up the last time before the tree, she recognized the blonde standing there. She had a rag and a bucket of water in her hands.
A small smile found its way on Auriella's face as she came closer to the tree. She watched as Clarke raised the supplies she found, showing Auriella. A small smile coated Clarke's lips but that slowly faded as she saw Auriella put her back to the tree and slide down it, sitting on the ground. "Hey, captain." She mumbled.
Auriella's arms found their way to her knees as she tilted her head down. A sigh left her lips as Clarke bent down, her brows furrowing. "What's wrong?" Clarke questioned, letting the bucket hit the dirt.
"Bellamy." Auriella spoke simply. "Turn towards me." Clarke spoke, the brunette following her instructions. "What'd he do?" Clarke asked as she started to rub the water-soaked cloth against her raw knuckles. Auriella gritted her teeth as a sharp pain seethed through her hand.
"What didn't he do?" Auriella chuckled, trying to distract herself from the pain. "Yeah." Auriella heard a small chuckle leave the blondes lips. This brought a much-needed smile to Auriella. She could listen to her laugh for forever and never get tired of it.
"Why did you have to go so hard on Murphy?" Clarke sighed as she gazed up at Auriella. "Actually, that was easy. I could do a lot worse if I needed to." Auriella replied, raising her eyebrows with a smirk on her face.
"How about, why were you in solitary?" Clarke quizzed, reciprocating Auriella's raised brows. The brunette's demeanor immediately changed as she became more reserved. She hated talking about it. What she had done, wasn't worth it because nothing changed when she did it. It still happened and she got locked up on top of that.
"Hey, you don't have to say, it's just conversation." Clarke caught on to her awkwardness and rested her hand on top of Auriella's forearm. "Uhm, no it's okay, i'm okay." The brunette smiled at the blonde.
"When my parents were getting floated, I was watching. I don't know what took over me but when I saw how nervous they looked even though I know they were trying to be strong for me, I just lunged. I lunged at the guard that was next to the button. Somehow, I had found a piece of glass or something and I stabbed it right into his neck. The sad thing is it didn't do anything. The other guard just rushed over and slammed the button. I watched as the looks of my horrified parents got even worse as they got plunged into space. So, my parents got floated still and I got sent to solitary." Auriella finished, a small chuckle leaving her lips for the last part.
Clarke stopped what she was doing and looked up at Auriella with a shocked yet sympathetic look. Even though the brunette tried to hide it, tears still brimmed her waterlines. "I didn't know you were so badass." Clarke stifled a laugh, causing a chuckle to fall past Auriella's lips. "Turn your face." Clarke whispered as she placed her hand on her chin and turned it away so she could clean the cuts on her cheek.
Somehow even after spilling her guts to this woman, she still found a way to make Auriella laugh. She couldn't deny that she loved it. She felt a blush creep onto her face from the physical contact of Clarke's hand on her chin but for once she didn't care because somehow Clarke made her feel comfortable. Maybe more comfortable than she's ever been around anyone. "Really, captain?" Auriella quizzed, looking at Clarke in a suspicious way.
"I just beat the shit out of Murphy." Auriella continued. "I would say you had a pretty valid reason to do that." Clarke smirked as she placed the cloth onto Auriella's face, her eyes squinting from the pain. "Glad someone thinks so." The brunette breathed out.
"I'll be the first to say, these cuts look pretty badass to me." Clarke smiled as she ran her bare fingers down the cuts. "Well, I would say that I gave off badass vibes before but added points I guess." Auriella shrugged, biting the inside of her cheek with a smirk across her lips.
"Okay, come on we gotta go get ready." Clarke chuckled as she stood up. Auriella's brows furrowed as she watched Clarke start to walk away. "Hey, get ready for what?" Auriella questioned, grabbing Clarke's wrist.
"To get Jasper." The blonde answered. "Oh, right. But before we do, just so nobody else hears me say this and I don't lose my added badass points." Auriella paused, giving some time for Clarke to wonder what she was going to say.
"Thank you." Auriella finished, her gaze softening as she looked at Clarke's reaction. "Of course, anytime." The blonde smiled up at her. The moment between the two didn't last long because within seconds Clarke turned on her heel and started walking towards the dropship, Auriella following right behind her.
