The group of six was back at the river, trying to swing across. Finn and Jasper stood on the high rock, grasping onto a vine that they were going to use to swing over.
To Auriella, it was almost surreal. She noticed how green the trees and land were and how clear the water was. She realized how she loved the smell of the forest, somehow it gave her a sense of calmness.
"You wanted to go first. Now quit stalling. Mount Weather awaits." Clarke's voice brought Auriella out of her daze. The brunette looked up to the two boys, pursing her lips in annoyance. If they weren't going to go, she sure was.
"Move aside boys, if you're too scared i'll happily go first." Auriella chuckled as she climbed up and grabbed the rope out of Finn's hands. "Hey, I don't think so." Finn stifled a laugh as he snatched the vine back, making Auriella stumble back slightly.
Auriella watched as Finn smiled down at Clarke, her jaws slightly clenching at the sight. "Just hang on till the apogee and you'll be fine." Jasper whispered to Finn.
"The Apache like the Indians, right?" Finn questioned, facing his head towards Jasper and tightening his grip on the vine, stepping back slightly. "No, dickhead, Apogee, not Apache." Auriella's voice came from behind, the annoyance in her voice.
"He knows. Today, Finn." Clarke shot a disapproving look towards Auriella and then looked back to Finn. Auriella raised her hands in defense as she climbed back down the rock and went to stand beside Clarke.
"He's gotta do it someday, right?" Auriella whispered, earning a glare from the blonde girl. "Aye, Aye, captain. See you on the other side." Finn said as he saluted to Clarke.
Auriella stifled a laugh as she glared up at Finn, "Get your own damn nickname." She shouted, receiving an eye roll from the dark-haired boy.
The group of four on the lower rock watched as Finn started to step back, pulling the vine down. As he was about to run Jasper stopped him. "Wait." He spoke.
Everyone looked up at Jasper confusingly. What was he doing? He was just holding them back more. They needed to get to mount weather. "What?" Finn questioned as he stepped back up beside Jasper.
Auriella watched as Jasper smiled down at Octavia. "Let me. I can do it." Jasper answered as Finn handed him the vine while shaking his head positively.
"Knew there was a badass in there somewhere." Finn chuckled, backing up and giving Jasper room to jump. Jasper let out a nervous laugh and tightened his grasp on the vine, getting ready to jump.
"See you on the other side." Jasper spoke as another nervous laugh fell past his lips. Auriella watched as he started jogging and before she knew it, he was flying through the air. He yelled out into the air as he soared through it.
A bright smile formed across Auriella's face as Jasper let go of the vine, landing face first into a pile of wooden logs. Everybody rushed to the edge of the rock, all eyes on Jasper. "We are apogee!" Jasper yelled from the other side, his hands raising in celebration.
"Yeah!" Everyone from the other side yelled as they rose their hands up, copying Jasper. "You did it, Jasper!" Clarke yelled, smiles painting everyone's faces as they celebrated.
"Go Jasper!" Auriella yelled as more yells of celebration filled the air. "Let's go, princess. You're up." Auriella heard Finn's voice from behind and saw as he led her behind the group, handing her the vine.
She watched as Clarke stupidly smiled at the boy and it made her heart ache slightly. She hated feeling this way, or maybe she just hated Finn.
"Come on, Clarke! You got this! Whoo! Apogee!" Jasper yelled across the water as he stepped over something, dusting it off. Auriella watched as he picked something up, something that looked metal.
"We did it!" Jasper yelled as he raised up the sigh, which read 'mount weather.' "Mount Weather! Whoo!" Jasper continued, everyone celebrating once again but it was cut short when Jasper went flying back, a spear hitting him dead center in the chest.
Everyone immediately went silent, calling out to Jasper. They were met with no answer. "Clarke! Come on, get down." Auriella screamed as she grabbed the blonde's wrist and ducked behind the rocks.
"Octavia, come on!" Auriella screamed as Finn joined them. Octavia followed behind the boy, leading Monty with him. The group of now five looked around the woods behind them, hearing rustling.
A sense of dread filled Auriella. Well apparently, they weren't alone. How were there survivors? "We're not alone." Clarke whispered out, seemingly reading Auriella's thoughts.
