"You know you could just let me go follow them." Luka spoke as she fiddled with a piece of metal. Bellamy sat across from her, both in the seats of the ark. "They're long gone by now; I don't know why you keep insisting. It's not happening." Bellamy chuckled as he leaned over and grabbed the piece of scrap metal from her hands.
"Hey what are you doing." Luka raised her voice as she reached back for the metal. "If you're going to have scrap metal, atleast make it useful." Bellamy mumbled as Luka watched him make it into a knife.
"Why do I need a knife." Luka questioned as Bellamy handed her the now formed knife back. "Defend yourself, cut something, kill something or maybe someone." Bellamy looked up at her and shrugged his shoulders.
"Are you condoning murder now?" Luka stifled a laugh. "No, no, just if its ever needed." Bellamy answered, a smirk forming on his face. "Totally." Luka shook her head. "So, since i'm kinda stuck with you, what'd you do? To y'know get sent down here." Luka continued, once again fiddling with the metal that was now a knife.
"Something they'll kill me for." Bellamy switched his gaze from Luka to the floor, his demeanor slightly changing. "Didn't we all do something they'll kill us for?" Luka chuckled as she tried to get his attention back on her.
Bellamy hummed as he stood up and walked outside. "Hey, wait." Luka yelled after him, following him out and around to the side of the dropship. Luka rolled her eyes when she saw who he was walking towards, John Murphy. To Luka, he just looked like a person you would have something against.
"If you're gonna kill someone, it's probably best not to announce it." Bellamy looked towards the carving on the dropship and then back to murphy. Luka followed his gaze towards the carving on the dropship and stifled a laugh. "Can you guys seriously not spell die."
Murphy glared at her, chuckling as he looked back up to Bellamy. "Babysitting I see." He spoke as he glared over at Luka once more. "I will punch your face in." Luka said monotonously, glaring up at Murphy.
She heard a chuckle come from Murphy, not caring to look back at her but keeping his gaze on Bellamy, "You're not really part of the guard, are you?" Murphy smirked up at Bellamy.
"No, but the guard will be here unless we stop it. You don't actually think they're gonna forgive your crimes." Bellamy paused and let a chuckle fall past his lips. "Even if they do, then what? Guys like us, we're gonna become model citizens now, get jobs, if we're lucky, maybe pick up their trash." Bellamy finished, looking between the two boys.
Luka looked confusingly up at Bellamy. What was he trying to do? What if they didn't forgive our crimes, we're all gonna be dead any which way.
"You got a point?" The boy to the right of Murphy shot at Bellamy. "No. I got a question. They locked you up, dumped you down here like lab rats to die. So, why are you helping them." Bellamy questioned.
"The hell we are." The boy spoke again. "You're wearing those bracelets, aren't you? Right now, those things are telling them whether or not it's safe to follow us down." Bellamy finished.
"Ok. You said we could stop it. How?" Murphy questioned. "Take them off, the ark will think you're dead, that it's not safe to follow. You follow?" Bellamy questioned, making sure they knew what he was saying.
Luka stood there, watching. She knew what he was trying to do. Was what he did really that bad? He knew he would get killed for it? "Right, and if we do, I mean, what's in it for us?" Murphy questioned, looking to his friend and back to Bellamy.
"Someone's got to help me run things." Bellamy put simply, walking away. "Hey, what the hell do you think you're doing?" Luka followed him and grabbed his wrist causing him to spin around. "Doing what needs to be done, you don't seriously want them following us, do you?" Bellamy questioned.
"What if I do? We can't survive without them." Luka retorted, raising her voice slightly. "What if I took yours off? Bet it would feel a lot nicer." He smirked down at her while grabbing her wrist with the bracelet and holding it up.
"This is how they know we're alive. So, no, you're not taking mine off." Luka took a step closer to him, shoving the bracelet into his face, making sure she got her point across. "Perfect princess, hmmm." He smirked down at her, earning an eye roll from Luka.
"Don't call me that." She spoke bluntly as she walked off, leaving him standing there alone.
The group of six was walking through the forest, Octavia in the front and Auriella in the back. Auriella couldn't help but admire the forest, she had read about it but never thought she would actually get to see it. She loved the smell of everything, every time a new smell came, she would inhale it like she wouldn't get to smell it again.
"Hey, you know what i'd like to know, why send us down today after ninety-seven years? What changed?" Finn questioned, pulling Ella out of her thoughts. "Who cares? I'm just glad they did. I woke up rotting in a cell and now i'm spinning in a forest." Octavia spoke as she spun around a tree.
"Maybe they found something on the satellite. You know, like an old weather satellite or-
-it wasn't a satellite. The ark is dying." Clarke said from behind the group, causing Auriella and the rest of the group to stop and look at Clarke.
"At the current population level, there's roughly three months left of life support, maybe four now that we're gone." Clarke continued as she walked through the group. The group looked between each other with worried expressions from Clarke's words.
"So, that was the secret they locked you up to keep, why they kept you in solitary, floated your old man." Finn spoke, listing off reasons. "My father was the engineer who discovered the flaw. He thought the people had a right to know. The council disagreed. My mother disagreed. They were afraid it would cause a panic. We were gonna go public, anyway, when Wells-
"What turned in your dad?" Monty questioned from behind. "Well, I agree with your dad, the people should have a right to know." Auriella spoke up, looking in Clarke's direction. The blonde turned her face towards Auriella and gave her a small smile.
"Anyway, the guard showed up before we could. That's why today. That's why it was worth the risk. Even if we all die, at least, they bought themselves some more time." Clarke finished. "They're gonna kill more people, aren't they?" Monty asked.
"Good, after what they did to me, I say float them all." Octavia spoke up as she walked ahead of the group, Jasper following. "You don't mean that." Jasper yelled after her.
"What a bundle of joy, that one is." Auriella chuckled as she walked past the group and followed Octavia out from the woods. "Come on, Auriella." Octavia spoke as the brunette stood in front of her as she started to strip.
"What are you doing?" Auriella chuckled. "Bet it feels nice, hmm." Octavia smirked as she walked over to the edge of the rock and jumped in.
Ella laughed as she started to take her clothes off. "One minute, Octavia." Auriella yelled out as the rest of the group came running out. "Octavia, we can't swim." Monty called out as Octavia's whole body was submerged in the water.
"I know, but we can stand." Octavia spoke as she raised up from the water, only her bottom half being submerged in water. "Wait. There's not supposed to be a river here." Clarke spoke, a confused expression painting her features.
"So what? Just get in the damn water." Auriella stepped forward, now beside Clarke in only her undergarments. "Well, there is, so take off your damn clothes." Finn spoke after Auriella.
Auriella saw how Clarke's face lit up. She could look at that smile all day. There was something about her that was different, and Auriella liked it.
"Are you coming or are you just going to stare at Clarke, Auriella?" Octavia yelled out, brushing her hair back out of her face. For the first time Clarke saw a blush taint Auriella's cheeks. She noticed how Auriella's gaze fell and she couldn't help the smile creeping onto her face as she stared at the ground.
Auriella shook her head, shaking off what Octavia had just said about her staring and was about to jump when a hand placed itself onto her bare stomach. "Wait." Clarke spoke as she peered out into the water, her hand still firmly on Auriella's bare stomach.
Auriella felt her cheeks heat up again at the physical touch. She furrowed her brows as she followed Clarke's gaze into the water, seeing ripples coming fast towards Octavia. "Octavia, get out of the water!" Jasper screamed as Octavia turned around and saw the water rushing towards her.
"Octavia! Get out now!" Auriella screamed but it was too late, Octavia had already been dragged under the water, barely being able to come up to scream.
Everything went silent, not a single sound coming from the water once the creature had dragged Octavia fully under. Everybody stood there in shock, not knowing what to do.
Auriella had failed. She said she would protect Octavia but she didn't. She let her get dragged by a river monster. Maybe if she was in the water, it would've been her.
Everybody immediately turned around when screaming came from the other side of the rock. Auriella saw as Octavia's arms were flailing in and out of the water as she screamed. "What the hell is that?" Monty questioned as he stood on a higher rock from the rest of the group.
"Who gives a damn about what it is, we have to help her." Auriella screamed as she watched Octavia get dragged through the water. "We have to help her." Finn spoke out. "What did I just say." Auriella glared at Finn as he took off his jacket.
"What are you gonna do?" Jasper questioned. "Try not to get eaten." Finn answered as he was about to jump in, but Clarke stopped him. 'No, wait." Clarke yelled, making sure Finn was away from the edge of the rock. "If someone has to jump in, it's gonna be him Clarke." Auriella raised her voice as she looked between the two.
Clarke glared at Auriella as she moved over to the edge. "Maybe if we distract it, it will let her go. Help me!" Clarke yelled as she bent down over a boulder. "What if this doesn't work." Auriella questioned frantically as the group started to push the rock into the water.
"I don't know." Clarke breathed out as the rock tumbled into the water. Auriella watched as the snake like creature released Octavia from its jaws and started rushing towards the boulder. "Octavia get to the shore now!" Jasper screamed as he rushed over to where Octavia was trying to swim out.
Auriella watched as Octavia gasped for air. She rushed over as Jasper jumped in and started dragged Octavia over to the shore. "It's coming back! It's coming right for you guys!" Finn screamed.
"Octavia hurry." Auriella screamed as she reached out her hand for Octavia to grab. Octavia grabbed it and Auriella started to pull her up with the help of Jasper lifting her out of the water.
Auriella bent down next to Octavia once she was out of the water, noticing a big gash wound. "Shit." She mumbled as the rest of the group rushed over. Clarke bent down next to Auriella, examining the wound on Octavia's leg.
"You're gonna be okay." Clarke whispered as she ripped a piece of Jasper's shirt and tied it around her leg. "Note to self, next time, save the girl." Monty spoke up, earning a laugh from Jasper and the rest of the group.
