ELAINE BRIAR WAS the kindest soul you could ever meet. She loved to read whenever she could, usually by the well in the lower town of Camelot. To most, her life was a mystery, all people ever knew about her was she always carried a book and was one of Lady Morgana's maidservants. It was an enjoyable and well paid job, Elaine would even go as far to say that she was friends with her mistress. With her extra coins, she would give out to those less fortunate than herself, after all, the king would never do such a thing.

She had a quiet life, but then Merlin came swanning into Camelot, causing a ruckus with Prince Arthur himself on the first day. In the beginning, she admired the raven haired boy. He didn't dance on eggshells around the royal prat, he spoke his mind and she knew he was very loyal. She enjoyed his company and his jokes, it wasn't long until she found herself hopelessly devoted to him, but things start to happen around her, things that could get her killed if it were to ever be revealed.

Although, Merlin would never let that happen, she was destined to be with him during the rise of Albion. Together they would protect the once and future king. New friends will be made and enemies will rise from the depth, but most importantly, an indestructible love will blossom in a time of magic.
