After a day full of classes and listening to students complain about the villain kids in Auradon, it was time for the two girls to attend the session they dreaded most that day. Remedial Goodness 101. Rylee and Morgan sat in the library a few tables back from Jay and Carlos as they observed Fairy Godmother's lesson on behalf of the future King. The longer the blonde girl stayed there and listened to the lecture, the more she felt sorry for her peers that actually had to participate.
The Fitzherbert girl knew that these four probably never had anyone to teach them right from wrong and understood why the class was created. What she didn't understand was why Ben couldn't find someone who actually knew where these kids came from to lead this class. Like her father, who used to be a thief before he met her mother. She was sure that the formally infamous Flynn Ryder could relate to these four better than Fairy Godmother.
"If someone hands you a crying baby, do you: A. curse it? B. lock it in a tower? C. give it a bottle? or D. carve out its heart?" Fairy Godmother said to the four students sitting a few tables away from her.
As soon as Fairy Godmother finished speaking, a smiling Evie shot her hand straight up into the air. The brunette woman's smile grew at the sight of the eager girl before she pointed at the blue-haired girl. "Evie."
"What was the second one?" Evie asked, causing Mal to stop drawing to send her friend an irritated look.
"Oh. Okay. Anyone else?" Fairy Godmother sighed then looked towards the other students stationed at the tables, "Mal?"
"C. give it a bottle."
"Correct. Again."
"You are on fire, girl!" Carlos told her with a smile as he crossed his arms over his chest.
"Just pick the one that doesn't sound like any fun," Mal explained, making Rylee and Morgan let out small laughs as they took notes for Ben while the other kids from the Isle had a moment of clarity.
Before Fairy Godmother could continue her lesson, the sound of footsteps approaching cut through the silence that surrounded them. Rylee and Morgan instantly turned in the direction of the sound to find Jane slowly walking toward them. The short-haired girl let out a panicked squeak as she passed the four before stopping in front of her mother.
"Hello, dear one," Fairy Godmother greeted her panicked daughter while the kids from the Isle watched the new girl with confusion in their eyes.
"Hi. You need to sign off on early dismissal for the Coronation," Jane quickly explained as handed the brunette woman a clipboard without taking her worried gaze away from the new kids.
"Everyone here remembers my daughter, Jane," the woman in purple told her students despite the protest from her daughter. The smile of Fairy Godmother's face grew as she handed the clipboard back to the short-haired girl. "It's okay. Jane, this is everyone."
"Hi," Jane greeted the Isle natives after her mother forced her closer to them, only to receive no response from them, "that's okay, don't mind me, as you were."
After the girl in blue scurried past them with another squeak, Rylee glanced down at her phone to see that it was almost 3:30. A small grin formed on her face as she nudged Morgan with her elbow. Once the redhead saw the time, the two of them grabbed their belongings and shoved them into their bags.
"I'm sorry, Fairy Godmother, but Morgan and I have to go get ready for Tourney practice," the blonde princess said after drawing everyone's attention to her and Morgan.
"Thank you for letting us observe your class," the Macintosh girl added while she and Rylee slung their backpacks over their shoulders.
"Thank you, girls, for sitting in for Ben," Fairy Godmother responded with her signature smile before gesturing toward the door, "good luck at practice!"
After sending her a final smile and waving goodbye to Mal, Evie, Jay, and Carlos, the two girls turned around and made their way out of the room. The grins on their faces did nothing but grow as they raced back to their dorm to get changed for their practice.

Rylee stood between Morgan and Pete after all their teammates arrived on the Tourney Field. The two girls listened in anticipation as Coach Jenkins talked about the plays they were going to be running for their upcoming game. The princesses tried to ignore the annoyed looks they were receiving from Chad across the way as they listened to the man in front of them.
As soon as their coach finished explaining the plays, Rylee's attention traveled to Jay and Carlos dressed in Tourney gear following Ben across the field. The Beast boy went to talk to Coach Jenkins to explain what was going on while the two boys from the Isle stood by his future Advisors. The blonde girl sent them both a smile then turned her attention back over to her coach.
"Alright. Jay, Ben, Rylee, offense. Chad, Pete, Carlos, you're defense," Coach Jenkins told his players as they put on their helmets before his eyes fell on the redheaded girl, "Morgan, you're the shooter."
"Right, Coach!" the Macintosh girl smiled then made her way over to the cannon.
"Goldilocks and Little Red are on the Tourney Team," Jay chuckled, causing Rylee to look up at him with a hint of confusion in her eyes, "didn't see that one coming."
"Why do you sound so surprised?"
"Just didn't think princesses were the 'sports' type."
"There's a lot about us you don't know," the Fitzherbert girl told him while returning his smirk before they followed Ben to their starting positions for the play.
"Hey. Hey! Hey, you. Lost boy!" Coach Jenkins shouted, making Rylee turn around to find Carlos wandering around with a confused look on his face, "put your helmet on. Get out of the Kill Zone!"
The blonde princess ran toward Carlos while he sent the man another puzzled look and grabbed his arm. Once Rylee dragged the white-haired boy to where he was supposed to be, she sprinted across the field to get into her starting position. As soon as everything was settled, Coach Jenkins blew his whistle to start the scrimmage.
Ben started with the ball before quickly passing it to Rylee when two defenders got in his way. The Fitzherbert girl sprinted forward as soon as she got the ball until another defender cut her off. Before he was able to steal the ball, the blonde passed it to Jay and slammed into the defender. She and Chad rolled on the ground from the impact before Rylee jumped to her feet and continued the play.
The future King and his Royal Advisor stayed in line with the son of Jafar through the Kill Zone. Ben and Rylee were barely able to dodge Morgan's attacks while Jay jumped and ducked around them with ease. When the three of them made it to the other side of the Kill Zone, the Fitzherbert girl went toward the abandoned ball on the grass. Just as she was about to reach it, a force came out of nowhere and knocked her to the ground. Rylee took in a long breath to replace the air knocked out of her lungs before looking up to see Jay take the ball and score a goal.
"Oh, yeah! Come on, let's go!" the raven-haired boy cheered while he took off his gear and did a little dance.
Rylee's eyes stayed on the boy from the Isle as he continued to show off before a hand appeared in front of her face. When she looked up, she found Pete standing over her with a somewhat forced smile on his face. The blonde girl sent him a grateful smile as she took his hand and let him help her off the ground. Once she was back on her feet, the two of them turned their attention back to the dancing boy as Coach Jenkins' whistle filled the air.
"You!" the man shouted as he pointed right at Jay, making the boy stop his movements and look over in the coach's direction, "get over here!"
The whole team followed Jay toward Coach Jenkins to hear what the coach had to say. Rylee instantly pushed away all the princes who were asking her if she was okay. When she finally had enough, she ran over to stand by Morgan in an attempt to get away from them.
"What do you call that?" Coach Jenkins questioned the son of Jafar before the expressionless look on his face transformed into a smile, "I call that raw talent. Come find me later. I'll show you something you haven't seen before. It's called a rule book. Welcome to the team, son."
Their coach laughed as he patted Jay twice on the shoulder then he turned his attention toward Carlos. Rylee and Morgan watched as the man studied the shorter boy for a moment before he finally opened his mouth to speak. "You ever thought about band?"
"I'll work with him, Coach," the Fitzherbert girl offered while some of her teammates started laughing.
"I'll help her," Morgan added with a smile after silencing the boys' chuckles with a hard glare.
"Alright," Coach Jenkins sighed then turned his attention back to the rest of his players, "let's run that again."

Rylee found herself with Morgan, Pete, and Elliot after practice back in her and Morgan's dorm. After they finished working on all of their homework, the three of them studied the given Tourney plays while the Fitzherbert boy went over the music the band would be playing at the game. As the blonde girl flipped the page in her playbook, she felt someone sit down next to her on her bed. When she looked up, she found her brother staring down at her with concern in his eyes.
"What's up?"
"Heard you took a nasty fall during Tourney practice," Elliot said, making his sister let out a small sigh as she closed the book in her hands to give him her full attention, "how are you holding up?"
"I'm totally fine. No bruises or scrapes. I'm tougher than I look, Elli."
"If we couldn't handle little bumps and bruises, we wouldn't have tried out in the first place," Morgan told the older boy while keeping her eyes on the papers in front of her, "we can handle whatever those boys throw our way."
"But it wasn't just a fall," Pete chimed in, causing Rylee to look over at him to find a hint of anger in his eyes, "Jay practically tackled you to the ground."
"He just ran into me. He also doesn't know anything about the game," the Fitzherbert girl defended while trying to hold back the annoyance she was feeling, "it's understandable."
"I still think those kids are trouble."
Everyone stopped what they were doing and turned toward the Pan boy with shock plastered onto their faces. The room began to fill with an awkward silence while Pete kept his eyes glued to his playbook. The brunette boy was one of the only four people who backed Ben's decision in the first place. The other three were sitting in that room.
"Come on, Pete. Give them a chance," Elliot told the younger boy while breaking the stillness of the room, "they've only been here a few days."
"And, in those 'few days,' they've already caused trouble," the Pan boy retaliated without even trying to hold back the venom in his voice, "Jay basically attacked the Tourney Team. He and Carlos got into a fight in the middle of their Remedial Goodness Class. And who knows what Mal and Evie have been up to."
"Well, I think you're wrong about them," Morgan defended the kids from the Isle while Rylee continued to stare at the son of Peter Pan in silence.
"And I think you're all crazy for trusting them," Pete told them before he gathered his things and stormed out of the room.
