"Can you believe it? Can you believe it? I have to live in the same house as that maniac again!" Demetri was on a roll that day at practice, barking in Sams ear since the second he had arrived in the backyard. "I swear, i'm getting my door bolted shut! I give it three weeks before he sets the house on fire again."

"Again?" the LaRusso girl blinked.

"Again." Demetri nodded his head. "Got mad at my dad and straight up lit half the garage on fire. Do they honestly thing a year and a year and a half is enough to keep Cullen sane?"

Sam shivered slightly at the mention of his name. "Maybe boarding school really did help him."

Demetri looked at her in disbelief. "You sure we're thinking about the same brother? I've only got the one."

"You have to have hope, Demetri." Daniel walked from the dojo, everyone hearing the loud boys panicked words. "People can change. He's just your brother."

"Not him." Demetri argued. "Definitely not him. He's lucky he didn't go to juvie after everything he did."

"What'd he do?" Nate asked curiously.

"Let's not talk about him." Chris spoke up, remembering math class with Cullen.

"Set the car on fire, stole from my mom, ran away for a while, robbed a gas station, broke into multiple houses, got into hundreds of fights." Demetri listed on as Nate's eyes grow in size. "And that's only half."

"What's going on with her?" Kyler asked Hawk as he watched Tory practically beaming down at her phone, a new look for her. "She looked like a real girl."

Hawk shrugged. "Who cares?"

"You don't think it's weird?" Kyler continued to ask, throwing his shoes off as he got onto the mat. "Yo, Nichols. Come here."

She looked over, her smile falling with an eye roll as she walked over. "What?"

"Who you smiling at?" Kyler gave a teasing grin, nodding toward her phone. "Show us what you got."

"I got nothing." she rolled her eyes, heading back to her bag to put her phone away. "Just a friend of mine is coming back to town."

"Where's he been?" Kyler continued to nag.

"Hell." Tory shrugged, looking toward Kreese as he walked from the office. "I feel like he might like it here."

"You want more people to join Cobra Kai?" Hawk rose his eyebrows. "We just got new recruits."

"So, you have a problem with more people joining?" she shot back his way, getting a silent look. "What's it matter? We need as many people as we can get."

"She's right." Kreese had been listening in on the conversation, making them all turn to look at him. "The All Valley is only a few months away."

"We didn't really change anything." Rose spoke as she looked at the back of her step sons heads, his eyes looking around his room, that he hadn't been in for a year and a half. "But, I washed the sheets before you got here."

Cullen set his bags down, turned back to her with a nod. "Got it."

It was funny looking at Cullen and Rose. He looked more then her then he had his dad, as did Demetri. Despite sharing no DNA, Cullen had Roses pale skin and dark hair, his mom had the same. Landon clearly had a type, and somehow, both his kids took after their moms instead of his green eyes and blonde hair.

"Is there anything you want for dinner tonight? I could make you whatever you want." Cullen liked that she was trying, at least. It didn't fix the anger and annoyance he had, but it was something.

"No, i'm good." Cullen said back, sitting down on the bed as it gave a squeak. "I was thinking about going out to eat with a friend for the night."

"Oh." Rose nodded. "Well, you'll have to ask your dad."

Cullen inhaled with a hum. "So, that'll be a no."

Rose frowned, looking at him. He'd grown up some, filled out more, and his hair had gotten longer. "We're just happy you're back."

Cullen narrowed his eyes slightly, a scary grin across his face. "You miss me?"

"Of course we did." she gave a kind smile.

Cullen rose to his feet, walking closer to her. "Yet, you sent me away in the first place."

He walked past her, leaving her in the room to listen to the front door shut.

"Cullen!" Torys voice rung, making him turn. After texting, they had agreed to meet at the restaurant she had been working at. Cullen didn't bother to ask his dad to leave, he felt like he was suffocating in his old home.

"Look at you." he grinned as she hurried out the door. "When'd you get all that muscle?"

She hugged him tightly as her feet came off the ground, a small spin as they hugged tightly. "Karate."

"Karate?" he pulled back with a grin, feeling her arms. "Woah, better then mine."

"I don't have long, five minute break." she pulled him out of the walk way some with a grin. "So, you're back home?"

"Until they decide to send me back." Cullen leaned on the side of the restaurant with an inhale, a grin across his face. "What have you been up to?"

"A lot." she exhaled with a half grin. "Too much to talk about in five minutes."

Cullen looked at his invisible watch. "Four now."

"What are you doing tonight? We could catch up then." Tory suggested, looking hopefully.

"Egh, probably have to do a family dinner and pretend to be some perfect kiddo." Cullen pulled a cigarette from his pocket. "Wanna hit before you go in?"

"Yes." she took it from him, inhaling and passing it his way. "I have some people I want you to meet."

"Aw." he tilted his head to the side, longer hair blew slightly in the wind. "You made some friends?"

"Something like that." Tory shook her head, exhaling to the side as he did the same. "I gotta get back in. You going back to school?"

"Next week." he nodded his head, cracking his fingers. "Call me after you get off work and I can see what will work out."

Tory hummed, giving a salute. "I'm glad your home."

Cullen hummed, walking backwards. "You look good, Nichols. See you later."

"Ugh, Cullen, the school said you can have the same locker you had before you left." Rose tried to make conversation over the dinner table, the three men deadly silent. She ended up going with a meatloaf for the evening, Landon's favorite. "And Ms.Blatt said she's gonna go over your schedule and see what all you need to catch up on."

Cullen met her eye across the table. "Got it."

Landon looked over slightly, seeing him picking at the meatloaf. "Did you go vegetarian?"

Cullen looked over his way, a chilling side glare. "Nope."

Demetri exhaled, not eating either. "Well, I have no appetite."

"Better start spoon feeding him then." Cullen mumbled under his breath, the trio looking over as he slumped down in his chair.

"What was that?" Landon asked.

"Didn't say anything." he said back, messing with his hoodie string.

"So, we're all just hearing things then." Demetri rolled his eyes.

"That explains what's wrong with you." Cullen mocked his way with a fake look of shock. "I've been wondering."

"Boys." Rose spoke to silence them.

"What'd I tell you?" Demetri scoffed in disbelief as he looked toward his dad.

"Tell him what?" Cullen sat up with a questionable look. "That you hear voices?"

"No, that you're still the asshole you always have been." Demetri shot back his way.

"I'm an asshole?" Cullen laughed his way in disbelief. "Why? Because mommy and daddy don't put their entire attention on your for once?"

"Oh my god, you'll find any-" Demetri began in absolute disbelief.

"Both of you, enough." Landon spoke up to silence the two. "Your mom wanted us to have dinner together for the first time since you've left."

"My mom?" Cullen tilted his head in disbelief. "She's not my mom."

Standing for to feet, his chair gave a loud screech, storming away.
