He's here. After all that waiting, bridging those cracks caused by hopelessness and defeat.
Hopelessness, due to the friendship, which had fallen; which seemed as if it would never come to be the same.
Defeat, due to the acceptance of the fact that it would be lost forever.
Now, is the moment that changes it all.
It builds a bridge of bright light rays over those pits of those lost and feelings.
"Taehyung, he—" I inhale, "—he wanted to never open that incident he had enveloped and buried."
He nods, listening attentively.
"He wanted to no one else to know of what had happened; he said it would help him better to get over it."
He understands.
There were certain moments, where I'd observed him not being overly fond of me, being with Taehyung.
Therefore I had expected him to, well, dislike it.
But, no.
He simply nods, his eyes compassionate, and adorably soft.
The night carries on, darkening the sky a bit murkier than before.
And though it is midnight, Jungguk does not leave to his place, instead, and surprisingly so, deciding on staying over.
1 a.m. has a beautiful atmosphere set, hearts drumming against each other's chest, as we lay side by side on the couch, cuddling, talking randomly, or the things missed over the days apart.
Though cuddling has been an old tradition between us, since our childhood, this time it totally has a different spirit to it.
Fingers intertwine, yet with a new timidity, which hadn't been existent earlier.
"W-would you— aish leave it." I mutter the last part to myself."
He chuckles, holding me tighter.
"Hey! Tell me!"
Hesitantly, I start over.
"Would you, still go out with...her?"
Though I do not take the name, he exactly know who the question is about.
He freezes for a second or two, before speaking.
"That's out of question. I'd— no, never."
I nod, not having the strength to say more, and slumber overtakes me.
