My eyes widen, along with the nerves rising inside me.

This wasn't planned. I needed more time to at least plan and process the words I had to say to him.

He stands still, glancing between me and Taehyung, his face unreadable.

Taking a peek at Taehyung, I find his eyes trained on Jungguk. He takes a quick glance at me, mouthing 'do it, right now.'.

Without letting me reply, he opens his mouth,
"Guk, Hyejin needs to talk to you about something."

And then, he leaves, just like that, and I'm left behind with a narrow-eyed Jungguk, staring expressionless at me.

"Jung-"

"So you and Hyung, huh?"

What—does that mean?

"Uh, what?"

"You and Hyung? Never expected it really." he shrugs casually, yet his voice has an edge to it.

I frown.
"Were close friends. You know it."

He scoffs.
"Yeah right."

Uh, what is with this attitude exactly?

"Whatever. I—I need to talk to you about something—important."

"Yeah? And what may that be?"

I take in a breath, readying myself.

"It's about RaeYu. You need to stay away from her. She—she isn't what you what you think she is."

He rolls his eyes at me, scoffing yet again.

"Yeah, actually I get it now. Perfectly."
