THE GROUP MOVED TO AN ROCKY UNDERCOVER ONCE THE MISSION WAS OVER, THE FREMEN PLACING A STILLTENT MATERIAL OVER THE GAPS NEAR THE FRONT OF THE OPENING WHERE THEY WERE STATIONED, TO PROTECT THEM FROM THE HEAT. All eyes were focused warily on the new outside added to the group, but the Fremen trusted to couple enough to not question why the new face was with them.

(Y/N) was sat in between her fiancée and Gurney on the floor, her knees pulled up to her chest was she crossed her arms over them, and leant her side a bit into Paul's, who gladly expect the contact without complaints.

"After the battle I was able to negotiate a trip back home for the survivors." Gurney was telling the two about what had happened to him beforehand, as he nods his head motioning to the Fremen around them, "Thanks to these guys."

She tilted her head to the side resting her cheek on the quarterstaff in her lap, brows furrowed looking to the older male as she ignored the feeling of stares, "Why didn't you stay with them? It definitely would have been safer, Gurney." Her voice was a soft scold, gaining a lip perk from the said one.

"Well, I wanted blood." He murmured through a hum, head turning to the couple beside him with a knowing smile that reached his eyes, "Since Shai-Hulud and Muad'dib have been driving the Baron crazy, smuggling business has been quite profitable."

She snorted a bit realising her uncle figure was a smuggler now, her gaze finding Paul's who looked just as amused and slips his hand behind her back resting on her spine while teasing, "Gurney Halleck the smuggler."

Gurney chucked through a crooked smile, reaching his arm out to place it around the young adults shoulders, gently shaking them, "(Y/N) Shai-Hulud, Paul Muad'dib." He whispered out making them crack a grin in result, "I've heard many stories about these two. Most of them aren't pretty. You see the fear,"

Her nose scrunched up in confusion as she followed his gaze, seeing how he was talking about the Fremen around them who either looked nervous staring at her, or like she was some kind of earthly being, while the others were straight up looking uncomfortable around her fiancée. Both made a bad feeling stir in her stomach, and shuffled closer to Paul, resting the side of her head on his shoulder.

"Our recourses are limited." Paul's raspy voice was heard right near her ear, causing the girl to become flustered a bit as she tilts her head up to look at him, and saw him staring at Gurney sighing, "Fear is all we have, at least for now."

The older male didn't say anything else as there wasn't much to say after hearing that, but the trio's attention was brought away when Chani called out in her language that it was time to move, and pack up. And so after that little discussion, they were all lead back towards where their seitch was, and walked through the protected cavines.

She slipped her quarterstaff around her waist and shoulder a bit more, gloveless hand running along the rocky walls beside her as that same spike in her power was appearing again. She was walking along side Gurney, and Paul on her other side who watched the Fremen trail along the upper levels to scout on ahead.

Up ahead near the front of the pack, Chani kept turning back from time to time to check up on (Y/N), her head being covered by a jabba hoodie, but her eyes and face were still able to be seen. Her brows were furrowed with a worried expression, really question if she should leave the girl she deeply cared about with those two men.

Gurney gazed around at all the Fremen that walked silently behind, up top or in front, before his eyes landed back onto the couple beside him, "How many men did you say were with you?" He asked them both a bit too loud, and Paul was the one to answer seeing his fiancé distracted by the rocks wall.

       "Two hundred-"

"Two hundred?!" The old man repeated his words even louder then before, it echoing around the area which had (Y/N) wincing feeling her ears ache at the noise and gently slapped her uncle on the chest giving him a warning look.

Chani's eye twitched in annoyance really regretting leaving the girl with the males, and span around with a glare to harshly shush Gurney from talking, "Shhh!" Her scowl was met with Paul's one, both of them having an angry stare down before she was the one to break it and turn back around.

"Do you realise what you're able to accomplish with two hundred men?" Gurney now eventually spoke a bit quieter, his walking pace slowing down so he could talk to (Y/N) also, and grabbed her arm as he glanced at the Fremen, "Incredible fighters. Duncan said there were millions of them."

Her heart squeezed a bit hearing that name fly out of Gurney's mouth, not even herself being brave enough to say his name yet, "My father did tell us that." She corrected in a low tone, Paul's eyes flickering to her figure in concern as she pulls her arm gently out of Gurney's hand, "Deep in the south he said, yes."

"Well, what are you two waiting for?" Gurney asked incredulously not understanding what was going through their minds, as her eyes were casted downwards away hearing that and felt Paul's fingers brush against hers, "With thousands of these guys, who could take control of the planet. It's your fathers dream, what are you guys afraid of?"

Chani once again didn't like where that conversation was going, and looked back over her shoulder to spot (Y/N)'s uncomfortable expression, causing her to scowl at the two men beside her, "Hey! Enough." She warned in a whisper shout, giving Paul an evil eyed stare to which he rolled his eyes at.

"Worship, Gurney. I don't want that for (Y/N). They used to be friends," Paul murmured out raspily rubbing his thumb over his girls knuckles, head motioning to the Fremen around them who followed behind and in front, "now they're followers. They practically worship the ground she walks on now." His end words dropped into a grumble, feeling a bit possessive of the girl as he was normally the only one who did that.

"Shai-Hulud, Muad'dib, the prophets. Why is that a bad thing?" Gurney pointed out confused, shaking his head at the couple whom glanced away not enjoying the integration from him, "Use it, own it. If anything, (Y/N) should be using her abilities to take back the planet."

It's not like I'm here or anything.... she thought to herself with a heavy sigh, squeezing Paul's hand tighter feeling how triggered he was getting through their bond, "I know you think that, but it's not that simple." She vented out exhausted, getting tried of being told the same things all the time.

"You both have the power, you have the power (N/N) to avenge Paul's father," Gurney was now talking a bit softer, but the harshness undertone was still there like a mentor causing Paul to send him a warning look to not push the girl, "and you're afraid to use it? What's with that?"

She sniffled a bit using her free hand to brush back her hair out of her face, remembering those visions she's been having more lately, "Being in the desert has opened my mind, Uncle." She told him wavery actually using his family status to her, "It seems Paul might not be the only one who can foresee things."

Paul squeezed her hand even more as he laced their fingers together, a worried frown over his brows seeing the dazed look over her face now and he knew she was probably witnessing the same vision he told her about. His other hand brushes along her hairline a bit, which brought her back from what she was experiencing.

"If we go south, I just know- I know all our visions will come true." She croaked out a bit, gulping down a bunch of air to fix the tightness in her throat as she looked to Gurney with glossed eyes, "They all lead to horror. Billions of corpses, fires spreading across the galaxy. All dying because of something I did, something Paul lead me to do."

Now she didn't actually tell her fiancée about this bit, so his reaction was actually genuine when she stopped talking to Gurney. His lips parted in shock not expecting that, heart clenching painfully in his chest realising that she had to deal with holding that information in for so long from him.

He knew how hard it must of been since they told each other everything, and he'd do anything to take that burden off her shoulders. Paul would rather kill himself or anyone else who got in his way, so she wouldn't be involved in this upcoming war, nor being in the centre of it. But it seems like he was already too late.

        "Because you lose control?"

At Gurney's question her head slowly tilted up from casting it downwards, the wind blowing gently through the cavern picking up a bit more now making her hair blow around her shoulders. With a hard swallow she answered dreadfully, "Both. I gain it and lose control. I can sense it already."

She then dropped Paul's hand which had him trying to reach for it back, but watched with a heavy heart and frown watching (Y/N) walk forward towards Chani, who gladly opened her right arm for her to slip underneath as they continued to walk.

Chani wrapped the arm around her shoulder, a concerned expression over her as she scanned the girls face but saw nothing but a ghostly look. This made Chani rub her hand up and down along her shoulder, leading her through the carven as she sent Paul a glare even though he didn't have anything to do with it. But she still blamed him.

Paul knew he had to talk to (Y/N) once they arrived at their camp site for the night, but would leave her alone for now sensing through their bond that she needed time away from him. He could also tell she didn't want that, but at the same time had to move away to think through her consuming thoughts.

Eventually they made it to where they would be sleeping for the night, and the Fremen were placing up their stilltents in the sand, where as Gurney was having trouble trying to set his together. (Y/N) was squatted down beside her fiancée fixing up their tent which was already up, and Chani was beside them helping as she had finished hers beforehand.

Gurney had no idea what he was doing with the tent, and it made the girl feel bad for not having telling him sooner about how hard it was. She slipped off her weapon to place it inside her shared tent with Paul, along with other belongings as her eyes met Chani's ones now.

"That's a lot of water." Her voice was a mumble not caring what happened to the old men, but knew she probably would seeing the doe look (Y/N) was staring down at her with. The Fremen girl dropped the string in her hand, and tied it off on the edge of the stilltent, before brushing off her suit thighs.

She scoffed at the pointed expression she was getting from Paul, and moved her gaze to the other girl, stomach flipping a bit at the pleading face she was staring at her with, and it made her cheeks flush, "What? He's hopeless, dezərt rōz."

"Please, he's family." (Y/N) gave her best puppy eyed look that she knew easily worked on her fiancée, but didn't expect it to work on Chani either, but it did when the Fremen girl grumbled under her breath and stood up from the floor.

Chani stomps on over to where Gurney was struggling with the tent, and reluctantly began to help him as she kept reminding herself that if was for (Y/N), not herself. The couple watched this happen with small smiles, the girls getting bigger while Paul's dropped a bit once he realised what he was doing.

NIGHTTIME HAD FALLEN OVER THE DESERT FAST, THE DARKESS TAKING OVER EVERYTHING AS THE FREMEN HAD LITTLE LIGHTS IN THEIR TENTS AND OUTSIDE TO HELP WITH THAT PROBLEM. IT WAS PRETTY COZY DESPITE HOW COLD IT WAS, BUT THE STILLTENTS HELPED WITH THAT ISSUE. Up on a dune just in front of camp but up away from it, was the shadowy figures of two people who sat down on the sand, and were talking most likely from the sound echoing

(Y/N) was now sat up beside Gurney on that dune, prior to being told to come up to there by the older men and how Paul also encouraged her to do so. Her fiancée was down below most likely eating, and inside their tent waiting for her to come back from her talk

"No need to be a prophet to see what's ahead for you, kid." His rough voice breaks the comfortable silence between them, as he turned his gaze to the girl beside him staring out to the vast desert, "Your path leads to war, just as much as does Paul's. You know that. War is coming, and you must be ready."

She pulled her legs up to her chest and wrapped her arms around them, resting her chin on her knees, "That's what I'm afraid of." She sighed out ignoring his gaze, and glanced down to her palms as she flexed her fingers feeling the energy pulsing around them, "Something is growing inside of me, and I don't know what to do."

He frowned in concern not really understanding what she meant, but had a slight idea her abilities were getting stronger day by day, "There's something you're not telling me, what is it?" He asked placing a rough hand behind her back, offering comfort even though she needed answers not that.

She looked up from her palms then towards where she could see Paul's figure down below, which increased her heart rate and finally landed back on Gurney, "These visons I'm having, they feel so real, so real that I know they will happen." She tells him whispering, "Everyday I'm in the desert, the more stronger my connection and hold over it becomes."

"That isn't a bad thing, (Y/N). Instead of fearing what you don't know, you should control what you have right in front of you." He coaxed her hands opening gently, grabbing them to push them forward a bit which caused the sand below them to also blow with the movement, "You may not want to fight, but those down there would gladly lay down their lives for you. For what you are to them."

She shakes her head frantically as she pulled back her hands from Gurney, the sand stopping its movement as she gripped the sides of her hair, "That's the thing, I don't want any of that." She breathed out through a voice crack, "Having so many people looking to me like I'm their saviour is scary, when I can't even control my abilities. I don't want any of this, all I want is for Paul, the Fremen and this planet to be free."

"I know you're scared, I can see that. But you use that to your advantage." He stated in a fatherly tone that she's dearly missed, making her watery eyes peek up to see him smiling reassuringly, "Channel your fear into power, your power. It won't be easy, but in the end your wish will come true."

She ran her shaky fingers through her messy locks, as her legs fall down into a crossing position against the sand, "I'm not holding my self down, but my powers have limits." She exclaimed a bit kicking the sand under her boot, the energy spiking around her in result of her change in emotion, "I can barely even hold a rock up without my nose bleeding, and can barely bend the desert power to my will."

"You are wrong." His voice was now serious and sharp as he shakes his head, grabbing her shoulders to help her stand up from the dune as he looks her in the eyes intently, "That time when you were running back to the thopte, that jumped should of killed you. But you were able to make it easily. You think your power has limits? I say it's limitless."

(Y/N) didn't respond straight away, one of her hands coming down on top of his, thinking for a few seconds as Gurney's words echo in her mind. Could he be right? Could she seriously have limitless power to her deposal that even she wasn't aware of yet? She knew that she'd be in power regardless if Paul becomes Emperor, but the idea of her being all that long lost legend scared her to death.

And if she was that God who leads the Fremen, and brings liberation to Arrakis, she knew that would be a lot of responsibility and power that she would, and might already possess within her. Bu she could cross the bridge when it came around, there was no need for her to worry now, even if she did feel like she should.

"I hope you're right, Gurney." She whispered thickly flexing her fingers out in front of her again, gaze drifting past the older male down to where Paul was waiting for her at their tent, "Thank you for your help, old man. I'm gonna go to bed now, I'm exhausted."

Gurney only smiled in response, wrapping his strong arms around the girls shoulders to pull her into a quick embrace, as she rested the side of her head on his chest. He pressed a fatherly kiss on her forehead, squeezing her tightly before they pulled back, and wished each other goodnight.

The two went their separate ways towards their stilltents, as she used the sand below her feet unknown to her make her move down the dune, and jumped down off the makeshift platform she was on. She was quietly walking through the camp sit now, seeing how everyone was going to sleep and it was quieter then usual.

All she felt was peace being inside the desert, even more so when the wind blow through her locks and brushed against her cheek in a gentle crease. She went all the way up to her open stilltent, peeking side the door flaps to spot Paul sat on their bed holding onto his fathers ring.

His face lights up when he spots his beautiful girl outside the tent, and pushes up on his knees to reach over to grab her wrists gently, "My love, come inside." He coaxed pulling her into the stilltent, as she carefully placed her feet inside and tilted her head back which made the door's zip up tight.

"Sorry for making you wait so long." She sheepishly whispered when he had let her wrists go, watching her closely as she took off the stillsuit she was wearing making her flush a bit embarrsed, but knew it was nothing he's not seen before.

His dimples appear on his cheeks when he smiled, and shakes his head frantically as his curls move with it, "I'd wait forever for you, you know that (Y/N)." He reminded in a raspy tone, taking her hand in his when she sat down in front of him, "How did the talk go with Gurney go anyway?"

Her face paled a bit hearing the question, shifting a bit in her spot as she crossed her legs which had their knees grazing together, "Ah- yeah, it went well." She half lied to him, covering her panic with a chuckle, "You know how the old man is like, always wanting us to be prepared. How did yours go?"

He also chuckled a bit, but did notice how she wasn't being entirely truthful as her hand tensed in his, "Well, he did tell me where my father's atomic weapons are." He decided to talk about him instead, not to make (Y/N) uncomfortable, "Every house possesses one. I thought ours had been lost. We could actually do something with this now, and take down more spice fields."

She furrowed her brows not liking the words that came out of his mouth, knowing if they did do something with those weapons it definitely would cause a war, something that she knew she couldn't hide from nor avoid forever. That's if she was what the people have seen her to be, and deep down she knew it was true.

"I don't know, Paul. I mean in theory it sounds like a great idea, but I don't think the Fremen would like that." She voiced her opinion squeezing his hand tighter, their faces only a few inches apart as the small hanging light gives them a view of each other, "You know I'm with you, but I-"

She didn't even realise a few tears had dropped from her eyes, until his thumb gently brushed them away and his lips grazed her cheek to get rid of any left. She blinked a bit to stop the water works, but he just cooed at her and tucked a piece of hair behind her ear.

"What is going on, sweetheart?" He asked in a tender tone, hazel eyes searching her blurry ones for answers as he slid his fingers between hers, and cupped the side of her face in his palm, "What aren't you telling me? You know nothing is too little when it's about you. Please tell me."

Her bottom lip trembled a bit when he grazed his thumb along it softly, and exhaled a shaky breath leaning into his palm, "I guess I'm scared about what's going to happen, about what's my place in all this is." She confessed a bit wavery, wet eyelashes flutter at his fingers on her cheek, "And most of all, I'm so terrified of losing you. I can't, I won't go through that Paul-"

He gently cooed at her some more when her forehead fell onto his, and he reached up both hands to cup her face in his larger palms, "Hey, hey. You won't ever lose me, (Y/N)," He whispered his reassurance, nudging his nose into hers to get her to look into his eyes, "Haven't I already told you? Over again, and again that I won't leave you. I want to devote my life to you, forever."

The only thing she did was just release a small sob at his words, heart squeezing with so much love for the boy she thought it was going to explode. She reached up to place her hands over his on her face, slipping her fingers between his as she gazed into his own watery eyes, that stared into hers lovingly.

"All I ask of you is to stay by my side, that's all I want from you. I don't need anything else, but you and your support baby." He rasped tenderly, grazing his parted lips against hers as he ran one hand down to the back of her neck, and brought her closer, "(Y/N), if you can be happy, then to me that is the greatest happiness."

"Paul, I love you so much-" She whimpered out with another fresh fall of tears, emotions going on overdrive from the confession as she threaded her fingers in between his curly locks, and shakes her head, "These visions, my powers and my fear of losing you is all too much-"

He nodded understanding what she meant, using his free hand to wipe away her tears again gently, "I know, I know sweetheart. I love you so much, I'm here, and I'll always will be." He whispered against her lips, now pulling her figure by the waist to sit inside his lap on his thighs, "As long as we have each other, we will be okay. I need to marry you still officially, remember?"

She giggled a bit through her tears at his end words, and feeling his curly locks tickle her warm skin, "There's not a day that goes by that I don't think about it," She mumbled pushing her hand up into his shirt from the bottom, making him groan a bit at her fingers running along his bare chest, "I can't wait to be married to you, Paul. We will be officially tied when we do."

He flashed her a soft toothy smile, pulling his face back a few inches to scan over her beautiful features even if she was crying, "I can't wait for you to take my last name, either." His voice dropped a few octaves, dragging his parted mouth along her jaw causing her to whimper a bit, "Can't wait to bed you after our wedding too. Make you fully mine again."

She digs her fingernails into his shoulders, remembering the last time they had made love and pulls her face back to chase after his mouth. Their lips meet in the middle as they move desperately in sync with each others, his hands running up and down her thighs or back, as hers were in his hair or around his shoulders.

He moans softly into her mouth when she started to push him down onto the mat beneath them, and he let himself be straddled by her next. Her legs were on either side of his waist, as she was leaning down over him with her chest brushing against his. His hands slip up to grasp her hips tightly, and pulls her up more into him.

She trails one of her hands down his chest feeling his fast beating heart, and slipped her fingers under his shirt again, tracing the muscles she felt making him groan in pleasure. Her other hand moved into his curly locks, pulling with it or was tugging which was one of her favourite features on him.

Their lips continued to move in sync with one another, as her tongue made its way into his mouth taking him by surprise as she fight for dominance with him. Both their heads were buzzing, and were drunk on emotion, on each other. They were so in love with each other it was hard to grasp how much, words couldn't begin to describe it.

His head tilts to the side a bit to make the kiss deeper, and stronger, as he used one hand to cup her cheek and the other still was perched on her waist. His nose digs into the side of hers softly, the both of them making pleasured and soft noises as the kissed continued on.

(Y/N)'s kisses trailed a heated path along Paul's cheek, down his jawline, and along his neck, leaving a trail of wet warmth, and red marks in their wake. A low groan escaped his lips, a symphony of pleasure that fueled her desire even more, as his hips thrusted up a bit into hers making her moan muffled by his skin.

His hand found its way behind her head, fingers tangling in her locks as he sought to keep her close, to savor every moment of their shared passion. He fought against the urge to give in completely, knowing that their intimate moments had to be kept private, away from the prying eyes and ears of those outside.

Their mutual need for restraint only added to the intensity of their connection. Each touch, each kiss, carried an electric charge that threatened to consume them both. The tent seemed to hold their desires captive, cocooning them in a world where only their love and longing existed.

Despite the need for secrecy, neither of them could contain the sounds of pleasure that escaped their lips. Soft gasps and whispered moans mingled with the rustle of fabric and the gentle creak of the tent, a symphony of desire that echoed within their intimate space.

In that moment, with the world outside forgotten, they surrendered to the intoxicating pull of each other, lost in the sweet torment of forbidden temptation. Their love burned bright amidst the darkness, a flame that could not be extinguished by the constraints of what there was to come.
