Chapter Fifteen: Mal's Got A Date!

Gwen was in her dorm, reading about villains, a book from the library, Maleficent being the first of course. Suddenly, Mal quickly opened the door, shutting it and placing her back to it, looking pale like she had negative emotions present. "Whoa, what's got you like that?" the younger girl chuckled, lifting her head towards her. Mal groaned, opening her eyes and coming to sit over on her friend's bed. "Ben just - He asked.. Ben just asked me on a date."

"Your kidding! That's it?" She scoffed as the purple haired girl glared at Gwen. She put her book on the nightstand stood up and grabbed Mal's hand, heading towards the door.
"W-where are we going, Lyn?" She furrowed her brows. "To get Evie, we're gonna need her for this." Gwen rolled my eyes as the two looked around the corridors for her.

They arrived outside near the benches, after an hour of searching, and Gwen spotted her and Doug sitting extremely close. Mal walked faster, angrily, towards her. "There you are!" She sighed, standing at the end of the picnic table, with Gwen now at her side. "We have been looking for you everywhere!" "What's wrong?" Evie asked her friends, worriedly, as Mal slammed her hands on the table.

"Ben just asked me out on.." She puffed out her cheeks, exhaling while looking out into the distance. Evie looked at Gwen, seeing if she knew what she was talking about. "A date." "Nice." Doug smirked, nodding his head. Evie smiled widely, "We can handle this. Bye!"

"Bye."

"You're looking a little pale.." She commented, standing up and we walked away.
"That's a huge understatement." Gwen scoffed, examining how her friend looked.
"But we can fix that with some gloss and some blush." Evie smiled, holding her arm.

"No!" Mal whined.

"Mal, you want him to be your boyfriend or what!" Gwen laughed, hitting her shoulder.

Gwen's arm was wrapped around the post of Mal's bed. Evie was applying a blush to her cheeks. "Okay, easy on the blush. I don't want to scare him away." Mal laughed while she stroked up. "Not that I could." "Please. My mom taught me how to apply blush before I could talk." Evie joked, which was probably true.

"Always use upward strokes." Gwen added, giggling, while Evie put down her makeup brush, and picked up something else. "My mom was never really big on make-up tips. I never had a sister." the Faery girl explained, trying not to move her lips much as the Queen girl dabbed her finger against them.

"Well, now you have three. We're gonna need all the family we can get if we don't pull this off. My mother's not a barrel of laughs when she doesn't get her way. Ugh, just ask Snow White." Evie scoffed, putting down another product. "Are you scared of her?" Gwen cocked a brow at her friend.

"Sometimes. What about you, M?"

"I just really want her to be proud of me. She gets so angry with me when I disappoint her. And yeah, she's my mom, so I know she loves me... in her own way." Mal said, after thinking for a moment.

"Moving on, wanna see how you look?" Gwen smirked, jerking her head towards the golden mirror in the corner near the windows.

"Are we done?" Mal asked Evie to be sure.

"Yep!" She squealed grabbing her hand and we all stood in front of the mirror.

Gwen wrapped her arm around her shoulders with Evie holding her hand, as she chuckled at herself. "I know."

"I look."

"Say it." The girls grinned.

"Not hideous." Mal smiled from ear to ear.

"Not a pinch." Evie giggled, walking to the door as we heard a knock. Gwen opened it and it revealed the prince himself.

"Right on time... Mal~" Gwen called her over in a sing-song voice.

She walked over and Gwen patted her shoulder as she passed her, joining Evie, who was standing at the end of my bed. The two left shortly after.
