The world's mightiest heroes are now gone, but their enemies aren't. If anything, they've multiplied, stronger and smarter. It's up to S.H.I.E.L.D. to do something, and their Avenger's backup plan begins: The Protectors. 

With Maria Hill assigned as the leader of the team, she has to assemble a team before her time is up, more specifically, seven days, seven days before nightmares seep into humanity, and new recruits to be made.

BACKSTORY - gisella lived your average normal life until she turned fourteen, which her powers begun manifesting, she always loved music, and her ability went crazy, destroying her home with a few notes, she ran away after explaining she wasn't safe to her family, taking nothing but her flute with her, shortly after isacc went missing, and gisella was found by s.h.i.e.l.d.

HOW AND WHY DID THEY GET PICKED - by elizabeth mist, while scouting out for recruits, gisella at first though she was trying to kill her, and fought elizabeth briefly, until she was convinced that elizabeth didn't mean to hurt her, her powers were an important asset for s.h.i.e.l.d and was accepted in the team due to them

BACKSTORY - elizabeth grew up with a mother who worked at s.h.i.e.l.d and a father who worked at hydra, at nine, her mother finally figured out that he worked for hydra, and attacked, almost getting killed by the winter soldier before elizabeth intervened, stabbing him and giving her mother a few moments to regain her wits. the two ran away to romania and she lived there until she began her work at s.h.i.e.l.d, fighting the winter soldier on multiple occasions, and being assigned to watch over bucky barnes in romania, arresting him, and later on helping shuri and ayo heal him, falling in love in the process. all came at an abrupt end after the snap, which she survived, aiding the avengers to get the infinity stones. her relationship with bucky ended aprubltly after tony stark's funeral, causing elizabeth to become colder and darker towards the world.

BACKSTORY - after a bomb made by stark industries killed his parents, pietro and his sister wanda traveled from orphanage to orphanage, until they joined the hydra experimentation program, gaining superseded from the experiment, he later fought the avengers and joined forces with ultron against them, changing his mind when his sister turned on ultron, and siding with the avengers during the battle of sokovia, where he was shot in the process of aiding clint barton, s.h.i.e.l.d saved him, recreating his body and bringing him back to life, he donned the identity of peter maxwell to hide the truth, and worked in s.h.i.e.l.d ever since

HOW AND WHY DID THEY GET PICKED - as one of the most powerful hydra experiments, his powers were a clearly good choice, and was asked to join the team by maria hill.

BACKSTORY - a born detective, earl got trained by maria hill personally, and became rather adept at solving mysteries, sometimes annoying hill and earning him the nickname 'sherlock', earl level up at s.h.i.e.l.d slowly, and rarely had to fight hydra, being focused on more mysterious matters
