PLOT

No one ever talked about Hawkins, Indiana's history or why a large canyon cut through the center of town. Whenever someone questioned its formation one hundred years ago, they were simply brushed off. Emily Prescot never thought twice about the canyon. She simply thought it was another landform. That was until she saw a red glow deep down in the canyon. Now she was determined to find out more about it. But everything changed when Emily found a journal belonging to her great-grandmother in her attic. Now she knew the truth about the canyon and what lay below Hawkins. It scarred Emily to the bone and she was grateful that she didn't have to live through it.

Or so she thought.

When Emily walked out of her attic, she couldn't believe what she was seeing. All of her furniture was gone, leaving a collection of outdated furniture in its place. But that wasn't all. Her clothes were in the exact same state. And when she looked in the mirror, Emily found herself wearing an outfit she'd never choose for herself and her hair bigger than she ever imagined. She had no idea why or how it happened, but Emily knew something wasn't right. Her feelings were confirmed the second she noticed the newspaper on the table beside her with the date March 15th, 1986. After exploring the main town and finding there was no canyon in the center, Emily realized what was going on.

She was back in time.

But Emily wasn't afraid. If anything, she was determined to stop whatever was about to happen. She was determined to save the countless lives lost when the canyon was formed. And her grandmother's journal would be the key to it all. Little did Emily know that her quest would lead her to some familiar faces. They were much younger than how she knew them, but it was obvious who they were. Her grandmother would always tell her stories about her and her friends' adventures. But Emily always knew that she was leaving out a few details. Now she was being dragged along with them on a quest to stop someone named Vecna. What the young teens didn't know was that they finally discovered their missing piece.

Emily would save them all.

NOTES

▻ Emily and Eddie will have a fastburn relationship. They will have a sweet relationship and be extremely protective of each other. Eddie is protective because of what happened with Chrissy and Emily is because she knows what will happen to him.

▻ Emily and Steve will become fast friends. They're a little flirty with each other but it never goes anywhere romantic. That's just the kind of friendship they have.

▻ Emily will be the great-granddaughter of Eleven. She doesn't have any powers, but this is the reason she was able to time travel after reading the journal.

▻ Emily becomes a big sister figure to the Party.
