Β  Β  Β  Β  WADE WILSON NEVER FELT MORE ALIVE THAN HE DID AS OF RIGHT NOW. Putting on that suit again was possibly the best thing to happen to him since he had given it up; he felt the thrill of the red and he hoped the people in his life would get to be there with him.

If only he knew what was coming.

He danced his way out of the elevator with the brightest smile from behind his suit before walking into the hallway, "It's perfect! FYI: your tailor is a predator, but I love it," he signaled to different parts of his suit has he walked down the aisle, "Snug, no camel toe, new car smell and adamantium Katomas, you shouldn't have."

As he got to the end, he took a moment to pose while a man sitting at a desk with a mug stared up at him in awe, "Go ahead. Take it in," Wade put his hands on his hips and nodded, "and yes, your underwear is getting tighter," he pointed to the same man at the desk, craning his neck to face him, "That guy knows what I'm talking about."

"His closes say middle management, but his eyes say fucky fucky,"

Mr. Paradox deadpanned with the Tempad in his hands, "Yes you look very nice," Wade's eyes widened, bobbing his head, "Nice? Your buddy over here is ready to throw it all away for me," he turned back to the man in the desk who rushed to the phone and immediately starting dialing numbers, "you calling your wife?"

The guy looked up, "HR."

"Is your wife working HR?"

"I'm really glad you're taking this so well,"

"Oh, im taking it well," he walked down even further towards the television sets displaying events from the multiverse and the desks where people were typing away, "I have never had a problem traveling for work. That said, we should talk vacation days," he clasped his hands together, "I'm more of a one week on, one week off kind of guy β€” I think that's what they do in Denmark, you'll never see a Danish flag in the moon, but..." he looked down to the floor with a chuckle, "but goddamnit they're happy."

He glances at the Tempad in Paradox's hands and pointed to it, "Now, let's power up your little Amazon Fire Phone there and zip me back home so I can let my friends know that they've been upgraded to Disciples."

"Yeah, I hope that you quite understand... um, you will not be returning to your home because there will be no home to return to,"

"Come again, this time in my ears?"

Paradox opened the TemPad and turned to the screen which displayed various red lines swirling around each other and a white line going through it, "This is your universe, Mr. Wilson," he stated. "That is what happened when a universe loses their anchor being β€” or in your case beings," paradox explained has Wade tilted his head in confusion, "See how it decays from the inside? This is how a reality dies."

"What is an anchor being?" Wade asked.

"Anchor being are entities of such vital importance that when they die, their whole world slowly withers out of existence,"

"You've just won the lottery because I didn't die," Wade stated with his hands clasped together. "It was just a little midlife crisis, I'm better now, but seriously?! How is Peter of all people an anchor being?"

Paradox chuckled, looking down with a bright smile as he shook his head leading to both of them sharing a laugh, "Oh, my God! Can you imagine if you and that car selling family man were the anchor beings?" He sighed with a laugh as he sat down in the chair in front of the tvs, "No it isn't you and that friend of yours, Mr. Wilson. Your anchor beings died in an act of self-sacrifices so epic that they sent shivers down the timeline," he said as he pressed buttons on the Tempad to project something on the screens, "I am referring of course, to Logan and Kate, the Wolverine and the Red Widow."

Everyone in the office shifted their gaze to the screens where they first saw Wolverine's death and tears running down Laura's face as Logan breathes out his final words on the ground. Then they saw Kate placing one last kiss on his forehead just as they were about to bury him in the woods. From behind the mask, Wade squinted his eyes at it all, on the edge of rolling them into another world from all of this.

Paradox sighed, "I know! Makes you wanna cry."

A lady in her desk who was beside Paradox placed a hand on her chest as she watched, her eyes getting glossy and that went for everyone else in the room ( except Wade who was just rather annoyed )." Then it showed Kate a few months later on top of a platform with her batons; both Natasha and Yelena ran up from below as the smoke blew in the air, "This was fun!"

"Don't do it!" Natasha screamed as Wade rolled his head back in annoyance; the two people who'd probably be dead in every universe were the ones holding his together. As he lifted his head back up, he spotted another man: Dreykov. He was blonde with glasses and a suit and he had just run out from under where Natasha and Yelena were standing, pointing the gun.

They all watched in awe as she threw to the wing and fell off before the bullet could hit her, neither of the other sisters being able to catch her in time as she fell to the ground and ultimately dying in the end before she could see the end of the Red Room.

As the footage came to an end and Wade let out an annoyed groaned, "Of course, Logan and Kate," he huffed, pacing back and then returning to the screens, "Logan and Kate! The guy with forks for hands and the ballerina-spider chick with the tragic "I'm not like other girls" backstory?" Wade exclaimed as he threw his arms up, "those two β€” that Wolverine and Red Widow," he sighed, "Yeah, I got it. You can turn your retro graphics of death off β€” make it stop."

"We're not doing it, Mr. Wilson," Paradox said as he turned in his chair, "we certainly can't stop it."

"How long have we got?"

"In most cases, a couple thousand years," Wade spoke up with a pinch of hope in his voice, but Paradox quickly shut him down, "Most cases aren't fast enough, not for me."

"What does that mean?"

Paradox closed the TemPad as he stood up from the chair, "It means that I have been tasked with overseeing the end of your universe and regardless of what the pencil pushers upstairs would prefer, I will not waste my life watching it die slowly of natural causes," he made a motion with his hands to give an example of pruning, "We used to just prune these things, simple elegant, efficient, but I'm told the TVA doesn't like to do that anymore... well, I do."

Wade tilted his head, squinting his eyes with a mix of rage and confusion listening to Paradox, "and no matter what my so called superiors say, the multiverse does not need a babysitter," he said through gritted teeth, clasping the Tempad in between his hands, "We need a mercy killer and in this instance," Paradox through his arms up in the air, "I am the mercy killer."

Paradox turned, changing the tv to project a black and white image of a machine somewhere in Wade's universe and people in hazard suits plugging in wires, "What in the macguffin is that?"

"That's a time-ripper, Mr. Wilson," Paradoxed replied. "An accelerant. Once completed, it will allow me to destroy the space time matrix if your universe," an evil look appeared on his feature, unlike the first time he had met Wade β€” not as friendly, "You see, I don't want to work for the TVA, I want to be the TVA and the first steps involves showing this organization how much more efficient it can become to it."

"I will be giving your universe a swift and compassionate end," he continued. "And don't worry, your friends won't feel a thing. It'll be over just like this," he pointed upward on the other side of Wade and made a surprised face, "Oh what's that β€” eh."

Wade took a step forward and pulled off his mask. A group of time keepers appeared behind Wade, getting batons out and ready. His eyes got glossy, holding back tears knowing his life could come to an end, but if anyone knew Wade β€” he was too stubborn to let that happen, "You're gonna old yeller my fucking universe?"

"In your parlance, yes," paradox nodded, "two in the heart, one in the head," he continued as the time keepers got in position to fight if Wade tried anything, "Look, Mr. Wilson. You have to choices: you can either rejoin your loved ones and collectively cease to exist in... let's say seventy two hours or," he went on, dragging on or, "you can join the sacred timeline and end your days of insignificance and mediocrity."

This is what he's been wanting for years: to be back as Deadpool and feel something, but not with the cost of the people in his life that helped make him who he is, "Wade, you can finally, finally matter."

Wade's gaze drifted to the screens and watched the footage of the Avengers at the Battle of New York in a circle and then back to Paradox, "And you know, I'm nothing if not morally flexible," Wade flashed a light smile and put his mask back over his face, "I'll do it."

"Wise choice," paradox smiled. "The sacred timeline is happy to have you."

"I was talking about finding the Wolverine and Red Widow and breaking your fucking nose," he swung the TemPad out of Paradox's hand and bashed his head onto Paradox's face, causing him to fall back. As the Tempad was about to fall, Wade jumped off the aisle he was standing on and grabbed it.

He opened a time door and fell through it.
