Tartarus was one of the first primordial deities that came out of the yawning void that was Chaos, apart from Gaia, Eros, and Erebus.
Tartarus, the infernal regions of ancient Greek mythology. The name was originally used for the deepest region of the world, the lower of the two parts of the underworld, where the gods locked up their enemies. It gradually came to mean the entire underworld. Tartarus is the place where, according to Plato's Gorgias (c.โ400 BC), souls are judged after death and where the wicked received divine punishment.
In Hesiod's Theogony, Tartarus is described as one of the earliest beings to exist, alongside Chaos and Gaia. The punishments for each mortal was different and depended on the crime they committed.

Tartarus is not depicted any other way than a dark abyss used as a prison, therefore there are not many myths or stories of the primordial god.
