𝗛𝗶, 𝗜'𝗺 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲, 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗮, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜'𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄.
Hi everyone, I’m Holly! My pronouns are she/her and I'm from Nevada. I have a cat (who is a complete menace sometimes) and a chihuahua (who is a total diva sometimes). I enjoy listening to Taylor Swift and ABBA. I can often be seen listening to the same song on repeat for hours.  I’m also part of many fandoms and enjoy watching TV shows and reading.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗯𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆? 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘂𝗽 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗲?
The Rose Gold Community began in April of 2020 during quarantine when Sam, the original founder of the community, was bored. After seeing many awards start during that time, she became inspired to start her own. And thus, the Rose Gold Awards were born! Sam never expected the awards to be as popular as they were. One hundred participants joined the 2020 Rose Gold Awards in a matter of days! Sam hosted the 2020 Rose Gold Awards herself and judged the majority of the books. She realized it was too much work to do alone so she changed the awards account into a community account on November 15th, 2020. The Rose Gold Awards have become an annual event the community holds every year during the summer. As for the name and theme, I’m actually not sure how Sam came up with them.

𝗥𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝟯 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗴𝗼. 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗴𝘂𝘆𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝘃𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝗼 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗽𝗮𝗱? 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲?
Oh gosh, I’m really not sure lol! I think our annual awards have helped the community to grow and continue to be a success. We receive an outpouring of support every year for the awards and we strive to make the awards better each year. I think we’ve also always been focused on ensuring our members are having a good time in the community.
I hope that the Rose Gold Community continues to grow and be successful. I hope that we continue to be a place where people can find new friends and improve their skills.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗶𝘁?
As much as I love doing the Rose Gold Awards, they are always a challenge lol! We get a lot of entries and it can be hard to keep judging on schedule. You have to be very very organized and on top of everything. I kept a huge Google Sheet for the 2023 awards so I could ensure everything was getting done. I also gave the judges a lot of reminders about deadlines. The judges were probably sick of me by the end of the awards lol! Recently, our account was hacked. The person unpublished all our shops and deleted four of our books. I’ve been working on republishing our shops and recreating the books that got deleted. We’re still working to overcome this challenge, however, I’m hopeful things will be back to normal soon.

𝗜'𝗺 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱'𝘃𝗲 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁, 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁? 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴? 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆?
Oh definitely, I have been in many communities since I joined Wattpad. I look for communities with ongoing shops and projects so I know they’re active. I also look for communities that are friendly and welcoming. I want to join communities where I can not only work and improve my skills, but meet new people and make friends as well. A major turn off for me is communities who take things too seriously. Wattpad is something we do for fun and communities shouldn’t feel like jobs.

I am! I began writing on another writing site called Figment and then I moved over to Wattpad when my friend did. I co-write stories on my joint account with my friend Tori. I enjoy writing fantasy books as well as fanfictions. I began designing when I joined Wattpad in 2012 and designed for over eleven years. I no longer make graphics for customers, however, I still enjoy making graphics for myself, my friends, and my community. I definitely think I’ve come a long way since then. I’ve grown as a person and made a lot of friends here over the years.
My writing and graphics have definitely improved! I don’t want to read any of my old stories and poems or look at my old graphics lol

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳?
I got my degree in political science and I hope to move to Washington D.C. so I can work for the Senate. My friend Tori and I are also hoping to publish our fantasy novel To Rule a Kingdom! We’ve been working on this book for years and are finishing up edits.

𝗗𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀? 𝗕𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆'𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝘄𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗿 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝘁𝗰.
Always keep trying and be kind! There will be many setbacks and I know it’s hard to keep going sometimes, but you have to keep trying. Things will work out and get better, even if it doesn’t work out like you thought it would.
